  2. A producer on Kerbal Space Program 2 has confirmed that those working on the space flight sim are being ***** off en masse. We already knew that the developers at Intercept Games would be losing their jobs thanks to a closure announcement from Washington State. Until remarks from Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, muddied the waters. Zelnick refused to acknowledge that the studio was being closed when asked by a reporter, even going so far as to claim the opposite. "We didn't shutter those studios," he told IGN. But it seems clear from one producer's testimony that Zelnick's remarks are inaccurate. Read more View the full article For verified travel tips and real support, visit: [Hidden Content]
  3. A high-profile video game cheat maker has been ordered to pay Activision over $14 million in damages and hand over its domain name. The ******* States District Court of the Central District of California granted Activision’s motion for default judgement in the civil case against EngineOwning, which sells cheats for a number of Call of Duty games as well as Counter-Strike, Battlefield, and Titanfall. Activision is awarded $14,465,600 in statutory damages and $292,912 in attorneys’ fees, and the court issued a permanent injunction to enjoin EngineOwning’s “unlawful conduct” and to transfer its domain name, www.EngineOwning.to, to Activision. Activision successfully argued that EngineOwning continued to circumvent its security systems and sell the cheating software in violation of the The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). It called for the minimum statutory damages of $200 under the DMCA multiplied by the general approximation of the number of downloads of the cheating software in the ******* States (72,328), for a total of $14,465,600. The Court found the request “reasonable” under the circumstances. In February 2023, a judge ruled that EngineOwning must pay Activision $3 million in damages after a lawsuit in which Activision claimed high-profile streamers used Warzone cheats. But EngineOwning continued its operation, selling cheats for 2023’s Call of Duty game Modern Warfare 3 as well as Warzone. Activision then continued its long-running battle with the cheat maker, resulting in this ruling. There are now questions about whether Activision will see any of the money it is owed by EngineOwning, or its ability to claim ownership of the website. At the time of this article’s publication, cheats and HWID spoofers remain available to buy from EngineOwning, which seemingly operates outside the U.S. Of course, competitive multiplayer video games have endured a cheating problem for decades, and Call of Duty in particular is seen as having a cheating and hacking problem, most prominently on the free-to-download battle royale Warzone on PC. Activision and other video game publishers face an uphill battle in the war against cheat makers, but the Call of Duty company will be hoping rulings such as these act as a meaningful deterrent as it prepares to release ****** Ops 6 later this year. Overnight, Activision tweeted to say that all accounts found to have participated in any form of boosting behavior in Multiplayer or Warzone Ranked Play would have their SR reset and be removed from the Leaderboard ahead of the Season 4 launch. Activision continued: "Additionally, as previously announced, accounts that boosted their progression in Ranked Play will be permanently restricted from accessing Ranked Play modes in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone." 5. A new earnings report from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt makers CD Projekt Red has revealed that the follow-up to the sorceress-courting, Nekker-thwacking, horse-reassuring RPG is currently being worked on by around 400 people, and plans to move into the production phase by the “second half of the year.” Elsewhere, the report shows that the studio’s previous RPG, Cyberpunk 2077 officially ended all development at the end of April, at which time the remaining 17 staff still tweaking that game’s ray-traced chewing gum foil moved on to the Witcher 4 , or ‘Polaris’, as they keep insisting it's called. 6. The PSVR 2 headset should have PC support by the end of this year, curtosy of a new adapter. | Photo by Amelia Holowaty Krales / The Verge PlayStation VR2 headset owners are one step closer to being able to use the virtual reality device with PCs. According to a certification discovered by VR enthusiast Brad ******, Sony has developed a PSVR 2 “adapter” that provides PC support for the otherwise PS5-exclusive device. Sony said that it was working on PC support for PSVR 2 in February, targeting a non-specific 2024 release date, but the company hadn’t previously mentioned what form this support would take. 8. Wake Up ***** Man, or Knives Out 3, only just got a title reveal this week, but the cast is already coming together, and it's looking strong so far. Earlier this week, director Rian Johnson and Netflix revealed the name of the next Knives Out film is Wake Up ***** Man, and that it's set to release at some point during 2025. That was pretty much all that was confirmed about the next entry in the now beloved detective series, without nary a whisper of who might star in the film. What a difference a couple of days make, though, as it seems like there's already casting news for Wake Up ***** Man, and fans of the Benedict Cumberbatch led Sherlock series will likely be quite happy to hear that Moriarty himself Andrew Scott has joined Knives Out 3. There's no details on what kind of character he'll play, which is just as much information we have when it comes to the plot, so that tracks. He joins some up-and-coming names who've already joined the cast too, like the three-for-one hit Challengers' Josh O'Connor, and Priscilla's Cailee Spaeny. With these three alone the casting is shaping up to be quite strong, as is obviously one of the most exciting aspects for many fans of the series given the breadth of actors included in the first two films. I'm sure it'll take some time before we hear anything more about the cast, but fingers crossed Johnson throws some kind of wildcard in there for the fun of it. Read more View the full article

  12. After winning back-to-back titles, MOUZ were on their way to an almost-perfect Counter-Strike 2 season. But their dreams were shattered by Stewie2k-supported G2 Esports, who eliminated them from IEM Dallas 2024. The two teams met in the lower bracket semifinal in Texas, with MOUZ being the favorites to take the matchup. In the end, siuhy’s men won the last two CS2 events—BetBoom Dacha Belgrade and ESL Pro League Season 19. However, their spell came to an end after G2 came back on Ancient to take the series 2-1 in their favor. Stewie2K’s heroics aided them in achieving this feat. View the full article

  14. HoYoverse’s next game, Zenless Zone Zero, finally has a launch date. Players can’t wait to join in on the fun, skyrocketing the pre-registration numbers to heights we’ve never seen before. At the time of writing on May 29, the pre-registration count for Zenless Zone Zero is 36,246,778 players. The next and final pre-registration milestone is 40 million, and it’s no doubt just a matter of time until fans reach it. 36 million is an immense number, especially looking at previous HoYoverse games, namely Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. Both games reached around 10 million pre-registrations, which pales in comparison to Zenless Zone Zero. View the full article
  15. Yet another cheat provider has been cooked in court today after a Californian judge ruled in favor of Activision, with the Call of Duty giant demanding over $14 million in damages from EngineOwning following the conclusion of a suit filed in 2022. EngineOwning must pay $14,465,600—$200 per cheat downloaded—in damages, according to a May 28 court order issued by U.S. District Judge Michael Fitzgerald and shared by CharlieINTEL on X (formerly Twitter). The ruling ends the case filed back in 2022, with owners of the site ordered to pay the eight-digit sum of damages and over $290,000 in legal fees and must also hand over the website’s domain. Ultimately, the motion for default judgment was passed as the alleged individuals all but ghosted the case. View the full article
