With such a short LoLdle quote yesterday, I’m happy to announce today’s League of Legends champion quote has a little more substance. If you thought it would be easy to solve though, you may be wrong—and that’s be why you’re here. The July 25 LoLdle quote may seem easy to some, mainly support players who love diving in for ******, engaging, and sneaking away. That said, Even if you’re a support main like myself, this is a challenging quote because there are a few champions to whom this quote could apply. If you’re tired of struggling, I have the answer. Riot Games is joining the fighting game world with 2XKO, a Runeterra-themed brawler designed to bring fan-favorite League of Legends champions to a new genre—and many are wondering if the studio’s controversial anti-cheat program Vanguard is coming too. Vanguard, which started life packaged alongside VALORANT in 2020 and then successfully shipped in League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics early in Season 14, has its fair share of doubters. Amid the PC-bricking claims and concerns around its kernel-level digging, some gamers simply want to avoid it. View the full article

Roblox’s credibility when it comes to keeping its playerbase of children safe has this week been called into question after the arrest of Arnold Castillo, a child predator. Last week, Bloomberg shared a report titled Roblox’s Pedophile Problem which documented the case of Arnold “DoctorRofatnik” Castillo, owner of Sonic Eclipse Online. The report suggested Roblox has ******* to protect the many children playing the game, with more details then included in a companion video on YouTube. View the full article
While there may not have been too many, one of today’s confuddling NYT Crossword puzzle clues is “Apt anagram of Rhino-I.” I enjoy anagrams, but I wasn’t sure what this one meant—especially the “I” part. If you’re here, you’re probably in the same boat. This clue is five-across in the July 25 NYT mini crossword puzzle, and I could only solve it by guessing what the “I” part meant (deleting a bit). The key to this was knowing that there are no anagrams for the word “rhino.” View the full article
Earth Defense Force 6 is one of the most joyful shooters I’ve played in years, delivering mega-scale slapstick gunfights like nothing else while walking a tightrope-fine line between genius and idiocy in its design. It’s also a janky, rough-hewn piece of software with a mediocre PC port and egregious recycling of assets... Read more.View the full article

MrBeast has finally broken his silence on the grooming allegations levelled against his frequent YouTube collaborator Ava Kris Tyson, denouncing the supposed acts as “disgusting” and firmly distancing himself from his long-time friend. In a statement shared on July 24, the famed YouTuber told fans he had been waiting to comment until an independent third-party investigator had updated him with “all the facts.” While that investigation is still pending, MrBeast now feels like he’s “seen enough online” to immediately remove Tyson from his entertainment company. “I do not condone or support any of the inappropriate actions,” he stated. Bream is one of the many fish you can catch in Disney Dreamlight Valley—but only if you fish for it from a specific ******** pool in a particular biome. Pokémon is one of the most popular franchises in the world, and its anime and video game series have been running for decades. The creature-collector has inspired many games because it’s easy to learn but hard to master, giving it the perfect difficulty curve. The concept is simple: find a Pokémon in the wild and beat it until it’s almost unconscious. Then, trainers can pelt the Pokémon with Pokéballs until they catch it. You can then raise the Pokémon and make it stronger by having it ****** other wild or caught Pokémon until they faint. You lose if all of your Pokémon faint during battle. But if you win, you get money. View the full article
Baldur’s Gate 3 is chock-full of hidden areas to explore and secrets to discover. Some of these are hidden behind Cracked Walls that can be destroyed. You may not notice these walls at first, since they blend into the background. They’re easily identified by massive cracks, and you’ll be able to click on them to see their description. Unfortunately for players new to the Dungeons & Dragons world, it may not be readily apparent how you’re supposed to break these structures. View the full article
A lucky Fallout 4 player shares how they managed to bypass one of the game's most tedious quests and walk away with its incredibly useful reward. Whatever the Baldur's Gate 3 modders have been drinking, I'd like a double. They've given us mods that make your entire party scrabble around on all fours, add an entire roguelike mode, and commit a war ****** against Astarion's hair follicles. And they haven't slowed down yet... Read more.View the full article
As per always, I've found a way to fill an otherwise nondescript Thursday with surprisingly decent deals. Personally, I would trigger the NOS and beeline to that 13-buck Need For Speed triple pack on Xbox first. I'm also all about those (discounted basically everywhere) copies of No Man's Sky. That new update for it is gorgeous, to the point where I'm seriously considering a fresh save to re-experience the thrill of Permadeath mode + PS VR2, but prettier. Because I'm an ******. In retro news, I'm commemorating the 34th birthday of Magic Sword, an arcade classic. In this Capcom hack 'n' slash side-scroller, you were cast as one of two He-Man-types and set loose on 51 floors of mummies, dragons, and...er, Easter Island heads? Nabbing keys and releasing prisoners would add an AI party member who basically acted like a side ******* pod. What hooked me: the thematically left-field inclusion of a ninja. Because, hey—anything in the late '80s / early '90s with a ninja in it was an instant must-play. Proper obsessed. This Day in Gaming Aussie birthdays for notable games. - Magic Sword (ARC) 1990. - Mario’s Picross (GB) 1995. - Painkiller (XB) 2006. - Dynasty Warriors 8 (PS3,X360) 2013. - Shadowrun Returns (PC) 2013. Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrails Arcadion raids are noticeably *******, and the hike in difficulty might be too much for casual players. Released on schedule only a couple of weeks following the expansion, the normal raid features several painful tank busters and raid-wide AOEs, some pretty ****** damage-over-time effects, and more than a handful of unique mechanics that trigger in rapid succession. After a decade of reusing several of the same mechanics for new fights, however, the introduction of new gimmicks was a welcome change for many players. View the full article
