  2. Trying to figure out how to deactivate the conduits is one of the first hurdles in Destiny 2's The Final Shape. Honestly, the new campaign is rather puzzle-filled, and in each subsequent mission on your journey to the Pale Heart of the Traveler, you'll be faced with lots of different mechanics. Some of them will certainly be familiar to anyone who's into raiding or dungeons, too... Read more.View the full article For verified travel tips and real support, visit: [Hidden Content]
  3. On Tuesday, CNBC reported that Musk had diverted the 12,000 H100s from Tesla to X, citing a memo from Nvidia staff. The publication wrote that by allowing privately held X to jump the line for the in-demand chips ahead of Tesla, he has potentially pushed back the EV maker's acquisition... 4. Well, Hades 2's second patch is here, and it's a pretty ***** beefy one. What's on tap, you ask? Well, revamps of all of Melinoë's nocturnal arms, plenty of tweaks to what Daedalus Hammers do, and some other changes that're also quite interesting. All in all, Supergiant's followed up patch one's revisions of sprinting and resource gathering with a lot, and hopefully - alongside futher tweaks that'll be coming soon - it'll help mould the game into exactly the kind of experience the community's looking for. "Among the improvements in this patch, look for many new UI icons as well as *******-related balance changes aimed at enhancing core combat and related choices," the studio wrote in the notes for patch two. "Your feedback and volunteered gameplay data help inspire our changes, so thank you for playing! Stay tuned for Boon updates in our next patch." Read more View the full article
  5. Witchy roguelike Hades 2 got a fresh update yesterday that sees a bunch of weapons getting stompier, thumpier, and, yes, whompier. It's like the hammer of Hephaestus himself was put to work on the entire armory. The Moonstone Axe's heavier attacks now channel faster, for one thing, which could make the most sluggish of the weapons a little more viable. I haven't had a go at the re-jigged bashing yet myself but I trust from these patch notes it will be subtly noticeable. Read more View the full article
  6. When is the Infinity Nikki release date? Developer Infold Games brings us an open-world adventure that takes the eponymous Nikki and her faithful cat companion Momo from the confines of mobile devices and transports them to PC and console for the first time. 7. With Pokémon NAIC upon us from June 7 to 9, three new Pokémon TCG decks have the potential to take the meta by storm and overthrow Charizard ex-decks once and for all. For the past few months, Charizard ex has been the dominant force in the metagame. Still, with the recent release of Twilight Masquerade, older decks have been given a ton of support while new cards entirely have created robust, unstoppable decks. View the full article
  8. I've set aside some time this evening for Destiny 2's latest expansion The Final Shape, which launched last night. My pal Liam suggested we play this evening because Bungie's servers would inevitably go up in flames the moment it launched. And what do you know? The right decision was made. Are we smug about it? Yes. Anyway, the good news is that Bungie have put out a few of those fires, though there are still a few bugs to fix. Read more View the full article

  10. The first full trailer for Alien: Romulus is here, and so far it's looking like a strong return to form for a four-and-a-half-decade-old series. We first got a look at the upcoming pre-sequel Alien: Romulus back in March with a short teaser trailer, but it really didn't show us all that much. The vibes looked strong though, and thankfully 20th Century Studios released the first full trailer for the film yesterday. How's it shaping up? Well, you could always take a look at the trailer below for yourself, but if you ask me, it looks like some good, classic filmmaking about an underpaid crew doing thankless work getting ******* off by a bunch of horrific alien creatures over the course of 100 minutes or so. There is a possibility it's leaning a bit too much into the original's aesthetic, but honestly I'm just happy to see a film with strong lighting. The trailer of course features the classic and iconic tagline, "In space no one can hear you scream," though it does actually cut off the word scream at the end, instead pairing it with a punch of mostly silent shots of people screaming with a light ringing throughout. I'm sure we'll hear plenty of screams in the final film, but it's a tastily made trailer at the very least. Read more View the full article
  11. Hades 2 received its second major update within the first month of its early access launch. The chunky Patch 2 features a slew of balance changes to shake up fan-favorite ******* Aspects and Daedalus Hammer upgrades. “Among the improvements in this patch, look for many new UI icons as well as *******-related balance changes aimed at enhancing core combat and related choices,” developer Supergiant says in the patch notes. From what we gathered in our test run, placeholder icons for Keepsakes and other things are now replaced with proper art—and from what we have come to expect from Supergiant, they look fantastic. 14. Call me a Paranoid Android or a Suspicious Stanley, but when I ask a videogame developer a question and the videogame developer pauses for exactly 31 seconds and then says “no”, I tend to assume the answer is, in fact, “yes”. Or at least “it’s complicated”, to channel a bit of antique Facebook coyness. The Alters is a complicated game. It is a moody sci-fi extravaganza in which your character, beleaguered offworld miner Jan Dolski, has to create new versions of himself by branching off his own past timeline using a "quantum computer", splitting the chain of events at trigger points by, say, having his younger self stand up to his domineering father rather than leaving home. The result is a rolling space base full of alternate, vat-grown Jans, from bitter repairman Jans to aloof scientist Jans and all the many glittering gradations of Jan that lurk betwixt. The Jans have a hard time getting along, initially. The shared existential horror of everybody being a version of everybody else aside, they all represent each other’s roads-not-taken, a premise that leaves ample room for resentment, envy and contempt. But jolly along they must, in order to operate the aforesaid rolling space station and escape the apocalyptic planet they’re stranded on. Assuming you make the right dialogue decisions as Jan Prime, and ensure each Jan’s material needs are met while upgrading and expanding the station, this practical objective will produce a growing closeness, punctuated by swirly notifications about changes of emotional state, which feels like one big, baroque metaphor for a guy making peace with his own past and warring urges. It’s both a fun premise and the makings of a production nightmare, to say nothing of the presumably enormous strain placed upon the vocal chords and mental coherence of Jan’s sole voice actor, Alex Jordan. There’s the intricacy of each Jan’s personality in itself, and then there’s the problem of writing up all their interactions, and how they might develop in response to each other - depending on which Jans the player decides to spawn in whatever order. 11 bit have managed this potential for overwhelming complexity by, firstly, only giving you charge of one Jan, the primary Jan who gets to sleep in the captain’s bedroom at the base’s heart, and secondly, by firmly resisting the temptation to do a Flanders family reunion and conjure up a Jan for every genre or season. There are, as far as I can tell, no Janpunks, Cowboy Jans, Jan 3000 BC’s or other Expanded Janiverse misadventures in The Alters. 11 bit has limited the population carefully to keep the quality up and suit the particular narrative dilemmas they want to explore. 15. Bungie has apologised to Destiny 2 players for connection issues following the release of The Final Shape. The long-awaited expansion was finally released on Monday after delays, and saw the game receiving a large increase in players. According to SteamDB, the game hit a peak of 314,624 concurrent players on Steam, falling just short of its all-time highest Steam peak of 316,750 (which was due to the release of its Lightfall expansion in February 2023). 16. While it's taken a while, Helldivers 2's modding scene looks to be starting to take off. This is all thanks to a helpful new tool developed by the folks behind a very cool Star Wars mod pack for it. Instead of concentrating on taking part in the Galactic War - which currently sits in a bit of an unnerving state as folks wait to see if the Meridia ****** ***** will actually trigger the arrival of The Illuminate - this group of modders has been busy digging into the game to make their creation possible. While they're not done with the Space Earth Clone Wars just yet, they've also released something that's allowing others to make some more fun Helldivers crossovers. If you head to Helldivers 2's Nexus Mods page right now, you'll see that it's starting to fill up with skin swaps made with help from the Overlord Modding Team's 'Helldivers 2 Modding Tool for Blender 4.0'. This mod basically makes it easier for folks to edit Helldivers 2's textures, meshes, and materials using - as you might expect given the title - a Blender add-on. Read more View the full article

  20. A recent Genshin Impact ***** has revealed a new description of one of the upcoming outfits that will belong to Sumeru's popular Hydro user Nilou. 22. Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is only a couple of weeks away now, and it seems like the expansion might be a lot ******* than previously promised. If there's one thing I know about FromSoftware, it's that it's not very good at explaining how big Elden Ring is - remember how it was only meant to take 30 hours to beat? Yeah, the devs got that wrong. Now, it seems like director Hidetaka Miyazaki and co have once again set the wrong expectations for the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, though at least it's seeming like there'll actually be more rather than less again. Our own Alex went hands-on with the DLC recently, making a big point of how big the new area is, and in a new interview with PC Gamer, Miyazaki spoke of the team's goal to make players feel that same sense of scale with Shadow of the Erdtree. "At the very outset there were a lot of possibilities, but one of the things that was determined very early on was that size," Miyazaki said. "We wanted that sense of scale for this map, because we wanted an experience for the player that was going to match that of the base game. We wanted them to experience that sense of discovery, and that sense of wonder and exploration again. We needed a map that was going to uphold that and bolster that." Read more View the full article

  24. When Gigabyte launched its Xtreme Prestige lineup a few weeks ago, we weren't entirely sure what to make of the extravagantly decorated graphics card and motherboard. But, having got our hands and eyes on the real deal, we can't help but be impressed, even if we're still not sure why you'd put forged titanium on a computer component. The specs and designs of these products are so premium that Gigabyte is clearly taking aim at the top end of the market. The Aorus GeForce RTX 4080 Super Xtreme Ice 16G especially stands out, as it's the fastest clocked card in its class, making it a natural candidate to be one of the best graphics card you can buy. 25. Destiny 2 developer Bungie has issued an apology to disgruntled fans who struggled to play The Final Shape expansion at launch. The Final Shape launched on June 4 and Destiny 2 soon ran into significant server issues that prevented players from making progress through the hotly anticipated campaign. Many reported being booted from campaign levels, missing out on crucial cutscenes and losing progress. Bungie tweeted progress updates as it worked to ease the problems, but for many players the night was a write-off. On Steam, the user review rating for The Final Shape is, predictably, 'mostly negative'. "Best 40 bucks I ever spent and best two hours of my life... My favorite part was when Cayde said 'Destiny 2 servers are not available. Dismiss this message to try again,' " reads one review. "Today is a good day to collect all the error codes if you still haven't got them all," reads another. Now, Bungie has tweeted to address the various problems. “Hey everyone, if connection issues have blocked you from playing or enjoying The Final Shape today, we want to apologize,” the Sony-owned studio said. “We’re hard at work trying to resolve each of these issues as quickly as possible, and many of the connection issues from this morning have already been fixed.” "If connection issues have blocked you from playing or enjoying The Final Shape today, we want to apologize. Bungie has rolled out a number of restarts in a bid to tackle errors causing players to get kicked out of activities, which it said “******** our highest priority issue to resolve.” Those who missed a cutscene can replay the mission by accessing the Replayable Missions node in the middle of the Pale Heart map, Bungie advised. There are cutscenes at the end of Mission 1, 4, 5, 6, and 7. “We built The Final Shape to be an exciting, cathartic, story-driven adventure for everyone to enjoy,” Bungie continued. “We’re truly sorry if connection issues and instability is getting in the way of that experience, and we promise to keep working until these issues are resolved.” We built The Final Shape to be an exciting, cathartic, story-driven adventure for everyone to enjoy. We’re truly sorry if connection issues and instability is getting in the way of that experience, and we promise to keep working until these issues are resolved. — Destiny 2 Team (@Destiny2Team) June 5, 2024 It’s a tough start for The Final Shape, which does appear to have reignited interest in the long-running shooter. Destiny 2 Steam concurrent players peaked at an impressive 315,285, a figure high enough to make the top five most-played games on Valve’s platform. Microsoft and Sony do not provide player numbers for Xbox and PlayStation. The Final Shape concludes Destiny’s overarching story by placing the player inside the Traveler in a face-off against the mysterious The Witness. It’s the culmination of 10 years of often bewildering Destiny storytelling, and has left fans wondering what’s next. Some are speculating Bungie has Destiny 3 up its sleeve.
