The next mainline Borderlands game might be announced very soon if Gearbox boss ****** Pitchford’s words are to be taken at face value. After all, the timing seems to line up—the Borderlands movie is right around the corner, and we had Borderlands 3 a good five years back. “I’m confident that our fans are going to be very, very happy with the next video game project when we are ready to announce it,” Pitchford told GamesRadar in a July 27 interview. “I will tell you that we’re not going to be making people wait for a long time before we announce it.” View the full article
Gearbox CEO ****** Pitchford has seemingly teased the next Borderlands game, stating that the studio is “working on big things” and that an announcement could come soon. Publisher 2K confirmed that the next Borderlands game is in active development at Gearbox earlier this year, after it announced that it had acquired Gearbox Entertainment from Embracer Group for $460 million. Jeff the Land Shark has barely been available in Marvel Rivals for a day, but players have already discovered a hilarious game-breaking interaction with his ultimate that left unsuspecting enemies stuck in the wrong team’s spawn. Jeff’s ultimate, “It’s Jeff!,” sees the Strategist ***** below the battlefield and, after a short delay, summons a massive whirlpool swallowing up all allies and enemies. Jeff can then travel a short distance before spitting everyone out, dealing damage along the way. Despite being just an extension of Bethesda’s 2015 hit RPG, the Fallout London mod has garnered a lot of attention. But players haven’t exactly had the perfect experience. If you have been facing crashing issues, you certainly aren’t alone. Now that World of Warcraft has cross-faction guilds, players are begging Blizzard to drop faction restrictions across the board, especially for casual content, so players can group up with their friends no matter what faction they picked. Cross-faction guilds were introduced back in Dragonflight’s Embers of Neltharion Patch 10.1, but there’s still many things that cross-faction players can’t do together, including ****** up for raids and dungeons or compete in PvP matches. Although WoW‘s long-written lore should prohibit Alliance and Horde players from teaming up, players are simply tired of cross-faction blocks and want them gone—even those on roleplaying servers. It seemed just another Sunday LCS matchup for veteran League of Legends top laner Jeong “Impact” Eon-young, but his MVP performance in Liquid’s 2–0 win over Immortals also came with a record originally thought to be unbreakable. The 29-year-old Korean has now played the most LCS matches in the region’s history. In his 630th appearance in the LCS against Immortals on July 28, Impact passed Jason “WildTurtle” Tran to record the most games played in the North ********* competition since its inception. Baldur's Gate 3 features a lot of powerful ways to deal damage, but most of them aren't available early on. Like its tabletop Dungeons & Dragons inspiration, Baldur's Gate 3 features fairly aggressive level scaling, with characters unlocking wildly effective magical attacks and repeated martial blows as they progress through the game. Even when resources are limited, however, some creativity can go a long way, and one quest found near the beginning happens to feature an object that can be turned into a tool capable of devastating enemies. In retro news, I'm marking the 20th birthday of Sid Meier's Pirates!, an arrr-rated remake of an '87 classic I smashed repeatedly on PC. Think: a 2.5D, top-down Sea of Thieves, and you're not far off the mizzenmast—fencing, naval battles, sniffing out treasure, and harnessing winds/avoiding reefs are your bread and butter gameplay. The long-term ***** (so to speak) lay in its trading and RPG-lite elements, plus the addiction of building a multi-ship armada and a bad-***** rep. Top game. Would replay. A big part of The Sims 4‘s lasting appeal is its constant stream of updates and expansions, but these new content drops can often bring trouble. Case in point: The locked-up loading screens facing droves of Sims players in the wake of The Sims 4: Lovestruck. It’s beyond frustrating to log in with hopes of playing the new expansion pack only to be stuck battling an infinite loading screen.
