The upcoming brawler Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Ritas Rewind will contain countless references to the classic franchise, including last years Once and Always reunion special by featuring Robo Rita as its main antagonist. One of the biggest surprises to come from Summer Games Fest 2024 was the announcement of a retro-style beat-em-up starring the original five Power Rangers. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Ritas Rewind will offer five-player co-op, tons of enemies pulled from the first three Power Rangers seasons, and even 3D rail-shooter segments when it launches on PC and consoles later this year. Dragon Age: The Veilguard will offer more than just dialogue flavor with its factions, as Rook's choice of background will also impact gameplay, regardless of the player's class. Compared to the franchise's origins, Dragon Age: The Veilguard marks a bold departure towards a more action-oriented style of combat. This decision has been a notable source of controversy, as not all players are on board with The Veilguard's overall direction. That being said, the core elements of Dragon Age still seem to be present, even if its intricate talent trees are now in service of a different type of gameplay altogether. View the full article
The thing everybody forgets about Sisyphus is that he was an absolutely awful *********who deserved everything he got. Prior to being the guy who has to push a boulder up a hill for all eternity, Sisyphus was a crafty Ephyran tyrant who used to ******* his guests for kicks, and who once fathered children with his own niece in a bid to depose his own brother. Charming! The Ancient Greek gods were outraged both by the king's violation of the norms of hospitality, and by his general insistence on being too clever by half - and I feel a similar way reading the Xitter feed of Bashir "ManliestDev" Kashalo, who is making a game in which you play as Sisyphus after his eventual demotion to the rank of the underworld's chief rock-pusher. When is the Life is Strange Double Exposure release date? Max Caulfield, the Life is Strange hero, returns with brand-new powers, new friends, and a new ******* to prevent. Max is a photographer-in-residence at Caledon University, mentoring young artists. It looks like she has moved on from the events of the first game, though it's not clear how much our previous endings will affect the game. The developers, Nine Deck Games, stressed the original game's endings will remain 'canon' to each player. Life is Strange: Double Exposure has been announced as a ******* mystery game. Max's close friend, Safi, is murdered and Max tries to use her ability to rewind time to prevent the ******. Instead, she opens a parallel timeline, one where Safi is alive. Max can move between timelines to piece together who ******* Safi and why. It all sounds a lot more grown up than previous Life is Strange story game outings, which usually deal with the complexities of teenage emotions and coming of age stories. With the ease of publishing games on Steam, the PC platform has become a great place for indie projects to ***** up. Some of them have been truly ridiculous, like the Goat Simulator games, or invented their own sub-genre. Getting Over It is an example of this, taking the frustrating fun of platforming titles and cranking it up to eleven by not giving players a single checkpoint across one giant level while making players control a man trying to hoist himself up with a sledgehammer while he sits in a cauldron. Boil the kettle, we're having cheap ramen. If you liked Townscaper for simple seaside town tinkering, or enjoyed the forest-dwelling demo of Tiny Glade's homely castle creation, you might get a satisfied sigh out of this. There's no goal, no big number to hit or yammering town mayor to appease. Just some low tempo music, straightforward building controls, and the ability to insert your own cat pictures on the sci-fi billboards. Read more View the full article

Here, an odd looking new film from the director of Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks, has received its first trailer and it looks… static. A fairly common thing amongst most films, I'm sure you've probably noticed by now, is that they normally feature lots of different camera angles. Some might stay with one particular shot for a while, they might move around a lot, there could be lots of cuts, or it could just be presented as a one take. But generally, the camera will move. With Robert Zemeckis' upcoming Here, though, it's a whole different story, as in the first trailer for it - which you can check out below - you can see that the entire film will be shot from one camera angle. Yes, it's quite an odd choice, but it's based on a graphic novel of the same name by Richard McGuire, which does the exact same thing, so it's not like Zemeckis is straying far from the source material. It stars Hanks, a regular collaborator of Zemeckis', alongside Robin Wright, who all previously worked together on the aforementioned Forrest Gump. As you can tell from the trailer, the story spans multiple centuries of time, all the way back to when the dinosaurs walked the earth, up to when we meet our main characters, Richard and Margaret (Hanks and Wright respectively), and over the course of what looks to be their entire lives. As you can also tell from the trailer, Hanks and Wright have been subjected to de-aging technology, and yeah, as always it looks creepy. Read more View the full article

History is clearly on the mind of ****** Desert developer Pearl Abyss, which given the game is celebrating its 10th anniversary in an 800 year-old French castle, isn't that surprising. Nonetheless, as Pearl Abyss reels off a list of planned new features for its MMO, I'm struck by how much ****** Desert's future dwells upon ideas of the past. Not only is the game currently wrapping up an expansion heavily inspired by Korean traditions and folklore, its more distant plans will see players explore the history of ****** Desert itself, by travelling back in time thousands of years... Several Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super cards are reportedly being made with a different GPU from previous cards, with graphics card manufacturers apparently replacing the standard RTX 4070 Ti chip with the larger chip used in the flagship RTX 4090. Before you get excited, though, this sadly doesn't mean these new RTX 4070 Ti cards are going to run at RTX 4090 speeds. Released at the start of 2024, the RTX 4070 Ti Super updated the previous RTX 4070 Ti in several key ways. Nvidia increased the VRAM from 12GB to 16GB, widened the memory interface, and added 768 more CUDA cores as well, making it a more powerful gaming graphics card in every way. This wasn't enough to propel the GPU onto our best graphics card guide, but it was definitely an improvement. Read the rest of the story... Elden Ring‘s DLC has some of the hardest bosses ever invented by FromSoftware. Though there are quite a few difficult challenges, here are our picks for the most difficult boss fights in Shadow of the Erdtree. Most difficult boss fights in Shadow of the Erdtree For the sake of this list, we have focused primarily on Remembrance Bosses in the DLC, as they have proven the most challenging to face. It turns out that the developers behind Street Fighter 6 had considered unifying the character names across all regions, but eventually gave up. This means that, at least for the foreseeable future, M. Bison will be Vega, and Dictator. Oh, and Balrog is still M. Bison in Japan. Call 'em what you like. Speaking to VG247 at Summer Game Fest, both Takayuki Nakayama and Shuhei Matsumoto offered their insight into the dilemma. This was part of a larger interview which you can read right here!
