After an incredibly long wait, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 finally has its first trailer, and it's looking like an absolute doozy for fans of the series. It had been starting to look like Sonic 3 was never going to come out, given that it's out in four months, but Paramount finally dropped a trailer for it today, showing off Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles finally working together as the ever-loveable Team Sonic. And best of all, we finally got our first look at Shadow the Hedgehog in motion - who yes, is in fact voiced by the one and only Keanu Reeves. The film essentially looks to be something of an adaptation of Sonic Adventure 2, though on this occasion Sonic and co are having to team up with Eggman to take on Shadow. Presumably that'll all change come the end of the film, because Shadow has to have his anti-hero arc, but we'll see! It being a Sonic Adventure 2 adaptation means that yes, Maria is in it, Shadow's best friend, who is also an actual child that gets shot in the original games. The trailer sure does make it look like Maria *****, but how brutally that transpires in the actual film, I don't know, but again I imagine it'll be more of an offscreen situation. Eggman's grandfather Gerald Robotnik also shows up a couple of times, so I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being the main villain too (in SA2, he's *****, but ends up kind of being the main bad guy due to him making the "ultimate *******"). Image: Paramount Oh, ***** yes! The first trailer for Sonic The Hedgehog 3 is out, giving fans a first listen of Keanu Reeves as Shadow The Hedgehog. Reeves doesn’t put too much spin on his interpretation of Shadow, sounding very much like himself. But considering fans were hype as ***** that he was doing Shadow’s voice, I think Keanu doing his best Keanu will go over fine with audiences. The trailer sets up Shadow the Hedgehog as the toughest ****** Team Sonic has ever had to face, requiring them to call in outside help. Jim Carey returns as Dr. Robotnik, who has apparently let himself go. For Sonic 3, they’re not wasting a drop of Carey’s comedic talent, having him play not one Robotnik but two. Shadow’s arrival was teased at the end of Sonic 2. Although... Continue reading… View the full article

When we talk about a game having a sense of place, it’s often about how adroitly it covers up the necessary falsehoods of a world contrived to accommodate the player character. It’s the good kind of lie. One with purpose, like Lucas smearing vaseline over the camera lens to cover up the landspeeder’s wheels. Star Wars Outlaws, then, is a strange case. Because while its planets and cities do feel ersatz as living places, they’re kind of incredible as film sets. That’s your job here. This is where the game is. You don’t play it so much as you perform your role in a series of loving, enthusiastic callbacks. That’s a star war. This is a star war. Oh, hey, I know that! That’s one of my favourite star warses. The dwarven engineers of The Lord Of The Rings: Return To Moria have formally entered the Golden Age of Steam. The game is now available on Valve's digital storefront, after a year in the comparatively barren underdark of the Epic Games Store, and developers Free Range Games have also released a Golden Update, which adds offline single player pausing, around 100 building objects, and a sandbox mode allowing for non-story-led excavation and settlement of the game's procedurally generated mountains. Plus, new hats and axes! Try not to get dragon sickness. Read more View the full article
******, ******, ******—squeak! ******, ******, ******—squeak! You may not know it, but that’s the harmonious sound of one little ****** cat as he sweeps up the afterlife. The stone cat door in The Edge is one of Crypt Custodian’s final secrets. You can only open it in the post-game, and it requires a certain set of equips to unlock. The game gives you very few clues for this conundrum, much like the floor light puzzle. When you approach the door, you’ll notice cat statues line the area in front of it, and since you’ve reached this point in the game, some of the statues will more than likely have their eyes lit up. It took me several attempts to unlock the door, but after staring at the puzzle for longer than I’d like to admit, I finally figured it out. View the full article
When you first set out in the underworld in Crypt Custodian, all you have is your trusty, dusty broom. As you progress, you unlock new powerful attacks and Upgrades to make your journey less perilous. Upgrades and Special Attacks are similar in several ways: They need to be equipped at a shrine, they’re found throughout the underworld, and they let you customize your playstyle to become stronger. But that’s where the similarities end. Special Attacks need to be activated, while Upgrades are passive effects that boast a variety of bonuses, like increases to your health or movement speed. Unlike Special Attacks, Upgrades cost Upgrade Points, which you can collect around the world, but you can have as many Upgrades as your total points will allow. View the full article
Crypt Custodian is full of puzzles, and while most take only a few mere tries to find a solution, the floor lights puzzle in Neon Crest is quite the head-scratcher. It seems easy when you reach the floor lights puzzle in Neon Crest. To solve the puzzle, you need to step on the circular tiles to light them up and connect them in the correct pattern. But there are very few clues as to the correct pattern, leaving you running between the tiles in hopes of accidentally stumbling upon the solution. It took me multiple trials and errors before I finally solved this puzzle out of sheer luck. View the full article
As you’re cleaning up the afterlife in Crypt Custodian, you’ll find a few souls that need saving. In total, 20 Cat Spirits find themselves trapped in vases around the underworld, and there’s no better hero to save them than Pluto. You can find these 20 Spirit Cats in glowing, moss-covered vases, as shown in the image below. Some vases are tucked away in corners of the map, behind locked gates, or on platforms you may not be able to reach, depending on which skills you’ve unlocked in your playthrough. These ghostly kitties are worth saving, though; for every cat you rescue, you earn nice rewards from their parent in the Weeping Wastes. View the full article
