Miquella's crosses comprise Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree's resident collect-a-thon, but the reward for finding them all isn't initially made clear. There are 13 of these monuments scattered across Shadow of the Erdtree's map. Many of them are located near important locations the player is almost certain to pass naturally on their journeys: central Sites of Grace, important NPCs, entrances to Elden Ring's legacy dungeons, et cetera. But a few of them are slightly more out of the way, requiring a little more active searching, or exploration of optional locations and mini-dungeons. View the full article

Those of you excited for Fallout: London better get yourselves ready, as the mod's devs have shared a promising update. It's been a little bit of a tough year for the team behind Fallout: London, as the massive mod was supposed to be released back in April, but unfortunately for them Bethesda surprise announced Fallout 4's long awaited next-gen update only two weeks before the mod's release date. The mod team responded a few days after Bethesda's announcement confirming the next-gen update meant the mod would have to be delayed (updates frequently break mods, especially ones as big as a next-gen update, which also featured changes for the PC release). Last month the devs locked in a new release date, though that's yet to be shared - though they have now teased its imminent arrival. Via the Fallout: London Twitter account, an update shared to the mod's Discord explained: "There has been a lot of speculation regarding our upcoming release, and we wanted to open up and clear the air for our core supporters. The bottom line is that we've sent several builds over to GOG for QA testing and are waiting for the final green light. Once they've completed the process of double-checking that Fallout: London and its installer work on all supported machines, we should be good to go. (Yes, we have our own installer, and downgrader too!) Read more View the full article
You might soon be able to play Final Fantasy 14 from the palm of your hand, if a recent report is accurate. Final Fantasy 14 is obviously one of the most popular MMOs around, but it was only this year that the game was released on Xbox. Before that point, it was only available on PC or PlayStation, but with Square Enix now adopting a multiplatform strategy for its big releases, it feels like it's only a matter of time before Final Fantasy 14 comes to other platforms too. According to Exputer, that next platform could be mobile devices, as Square Enix and tech giant Tencent are reportedly working together to produce a mobile version of the popular MMO. There's no specifics as to how far along the project is, just that the two companies are working on it together, but it wouldn't be entirely surprising if a mobile port is in the works. As noted by Exputer, back in 2018 Square Enix and Tencent signed a letter of intent to "create a strategic alliance" together, and a few years later in 2021 then Square Enix president Yosuke Matsuda shared in a financial results Q&A that there "are some projects that are underway" with Tencent, though wouldn't comment on any kind of specifics. A mobile port of Final Fantasy 14 would likely do quite well internationally, as there are plenty of territories where mobile MMOs are plenty popular, so to bring a title with brand recognition like that to phones and tablets could only go well. Sorry, Exoprimal fans, but Capcom has announced that after the game's current season, the dinosaur shooter won't get any more updates. Remember Exoprimal? Possibly not, but that doesn't matter much now that I've reminded you about it, as only a year after the game was initially released, it's kind of wrapping things up. Don't worry, the game isn't going offline just yet, but as confirmed by Capcom earlier this week, once season 4 ends next week on July 11, that's it for new updates. "Thank you for playing Exoprimal," reads the post. "With the release of Title Update 4, all planned Exoprimal seasonal content has been finished. After Season 4, which concludes on July 11th, Season 1 will return. From there, a new season will begin on the first of each month. In addition, Season Passes 1-3 will be available for ***** again. This will allow players to obtain items from all seasons." The post also includes a short schedule showing when each season will be available to play through, with the aforementioned first season starting this month, followed by season 2 in August, season 3 in September, season 4 in October, then season 1 again in November, and so on and so forth. There's no mention of how long seasons will keep running for, but as with most live-service games, you can probably predict this one coming to an end somewhere along the line. Capcom also provided a timetable of when certain events and limited time campaigns will be, which you can check out here. Read more View the full article

An early bit of dialogue in Baldurs Gate 3 may hint at one of the games biggest twists from later in its second act, but most players wont have heard it. Baldurs Gate 3 offers so many different people to talk to and ways to talk to them that it can be overwhelming. Add to that Dungeons & Dragons spells like speak with animals, and suddenly, even random squirrels become potential conversation partners. Moore's quest line in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree comes to a head in a single, pivotal dialogue choice. Players are first introduced to Moore as the human liaison with the Forager Brood, a faction of familiar Elden Ring enemies turned friendly collaborators. He sells the Tarnished some basic crafting materials and consumables, and, depending on how they cut a path through the Land of Shadow, is almost certain to be the first merchant they meet. Moore's quest continues when the poisoner Thiollier asks the Tarnished to make a delivery, after which Moore mostly goes silent. View the full article

When Bethesda introduced Survival Mode into Fallout 4 after release, it raised questions about how the franchise should implement survival and crafting mechanics. The new version of the game makes headshots do greater damage and causes limbs cripple more easily. It also introduced hunger, thirst, and rest requirements. While the mode received praise for some of its changes, it also saw backlash for the tedious way it handles resource gathering. But one alteration that doesn't get nearly enough attention because of how much it changes the game is the removal of the fast travel ability. View the full article
