  2. Cloud9 League of Legends coach Hai Du Lam is praising the slow rollout of Fearless Draft across the esport and believes the format change is revitalizing fan and player engagement in competitive League—even if it means more work for the *****. Hai said the implementation of Fearless Draft should be prioritized and that it is a necessary move for the League showrunners to make to ensure the quality and viewing experience of the LCS—and League as a whole—******** up to scratch. “I think it’s a really interesting format that promotes a wide champion pool and a diversity of champions,” Hai said in an Esports.gg interview this week. 4. In Zenless Zone Zero, Drive Discs are a crucial way to boost your Agent’s stats, especially because you can apply them to your W-Engine and get set stat bonuses depending on how many pieces you have equipped. Getting Drive Discs is a challenging feat though, and one you’re going to have to go through for those extra boost stats. Here’s the full list of them in ZZZ. View the full article
  5. You’ve probably been locked in a staring contest with Trust and Companion Commissions in Zenless Zone Zero for what feels like forever. All you want is to kick off and complete Anby’s Problem to get this friendship journey rolling. Just like in a Persona game, Zenless Zone Zero has a Trust system where you buddy up with the Agents you protect in the Hollow. You get to hang out with them IRL and bond over commissions. But don’t get your hopes up for romantic strolls with Anby or Nekomata early on. The Trust and commission mechanics are locked away until you hit a point in the main story. Even then, watch your mouth because you only get one shot at these quests. In this guide, I’ll show you how to start and complete Anby’s problem in ZZZ. View the full article
  6. Yesterday’s LoLdle champion quote may have been on the easier side, especially for AD Carry players or anyone who loves Arcane, but today’s July 8 quote is certainly on the tricker side if you don’t journey into the jungle much. Who says, “The focused mind can pierce through stone” in LoL? The LoLdle quote on July 8 is, “The focused mind can pierce through stone.” The League champion who says this line is Master Yi. 7. Zenless Zone Zero is teeming with life: You’ve got your ramen joints, coffee shops, an arcade, and a bunch of vibrant NPCs glued to their phones, all wrapped up in their side quests. Oh, and let’s not forget the NPC literally living in a trash can, begging for HIA Commemorative Coins. HIA Commemorative Coins are a special currency in Zenless Zone Zero, perfect for snagging extra Agent and ******* upgrade rewards. But with all the Polychromes, Encrypted Master Tape, Fading Signal, and Residual Signal floating around, you might be left scratching your head about what HIA Commemorative Coins are for or how to get them. In this guide, I’ll show you every HIA Commemorative Coin location on Sixth Street in ZZZ. View the full article

  9. Call of Duty veteran Clayster will try his luck in free agency after splitting from Carolina Royal Ravens on July 7 following a disappointing stint in the Call of Duty League. The Royal Ravens announced the 32-year-old’s departure on X (formerly Twitter) earlier this week. “An icon of the scene and a driving force behind our season, we want to thank Clay for his time,” the organization wrote in its post. Following that post, Clayster didn’t ****** words regarding his departure in his own exit statement yesterday. “Got a lot to say but there’s really no point. Gotta be more selfish and play better if I wanna keep my spot on the teams,” he said. He added later he’d also be open to non-playing roles. View the full article
  10. Two spell mechanics in Baldur’s Gate 3 are actually so “painful” to use that they’ve significantly altered the DNA of Dungeons and Dragons forever. BG3 is based on the fifth edition rules for Dungeons & Dragons, and although these rules have yet to pose too much of a problem for tabletop players, there were a few constraints with some spells in particular—specifically Cloud of Daggers and Produce Flame. These pressure points were so great, lead Dungeons & Dragons designer Jeremy Crawford has admitted, that they’re actually being overhauled in the 2024 Players Handbook. View the full article
  11. With two new seven-star Tera Raids announced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet alongside the return of two others, it’s clear the big raid events are now heading in a different direction—and we’re here for it. We have four huge Tera Raid events lined up to keep Pokémon players busy until September, according to Serebii today. First, we’ll see the return of seven-star Pikachu Tera Raids with Shiny Mass Outbreaks for Pichu, Pikachu, Raichu, Alolan Raichu, and Mimikyu from July 12 to 25. View the full article
  12. The Shadow Swordsman is one of the best and most versatile classes in Tarisland because they’re incredible in raids, PvP, and deal tremendous damage. Add the Cunning specialization and they turn into a speedy, consistent monster. The Cunning Shadow Swordsman build focuses on high yet consistent damage. You do sacrifice a bit of damage compared to the high burst Duel build, but Duel is much ******* to play— especially for mobile gamers—due to its skill management and rotations. 13. As the name suggests, trials in Zenless Zone Zero are very challenging, yet the ******* they are the more rewarding they can be—just like Trial No. Five. Completing Trial No. Five is certainly a challenging feat, and you’ll need to have progressed at least to Chapter Two to access certain areas, like the Shiyu Defense, and the challenges to upgrade your Agent’s core passives. Here’s how to get your head around the tricky tests lying in wait here to conqueror Trial No. Five in ZZZ. View the full article

  17. No, the win rate imbalance between the Blue and Red sides in League of Legends isn’t in your head. Riot Games knows it’s happening—though not quite as much at your low Elo—and are working on solutions. It’s just going to take some time. The League world has again been in an uproar over imbalances between the two Summoner’s Rift sides this week, with the furore sparked by one fan’s investigation into the win rate numbers. While it’s only just returned to the surface in the fandom, however, balance boss Matt Leung-Harrison said his team has been “investigating this for a bit now” and is already working on changes. 19. Welcome to another full week of wall-to-wall savings. As per always, I've scoured every store worth trusting to find nothing but the games worth playing at the prices they probably should have been to begin with. I've also taken the time to relist that Forza Horizon 4 delist deal. Given the weird way Microsoft is sunsetting things, it seems the Ultimate Edition really is the way to go. In retro news, I'm celebrating the 29th birthday of the ***** Saturn, a commercial ******** that still holds a special place in the sub-cockles of my heart. What did it in? Complex hardware design that hindered the harnessing of its 3D capabilities, limited third-party support, and the suits severely underestimated the upstart Sony PlayStation. Be that as it may, us Saturn tragics ate well for a time, thanks to (mostly) high-quality ***** Model 2 arcade ports and exclusives like NiGHTS, Guardian Heroes, Burning Rangers, and the Panzer Dragoon series. 21. The warlock is an iconic and powerful class from Dungeons & Dragons' fifth edition, and its counterpart in Baldur's Gate 3 lives up to its reputation. 22. Gimmighoul Tera Raids are set to make their return in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which means it’s round two for the most dedicated Shiny hunters. From Aug. 9 to 22, Gimmighoul will appear in special Tera Raids in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet to celebrate the World Championships (Aug. 16 to 18), according to Serebii. These raid battles will range from one to five stars, but it’s the five-star raids you’ll want to watch out for. That’s because Gimmighoul’s Shiny variant is exclusive to the five-star raids during this event, and it’s only the second opportunity we’ve ever had to hunt for it. In fact, the last time these raids were around to catch Shiny Gimmighoul was last summer. View the full article
  23. Team Liquids’ newest addition to the Teamfight Tactics roster, Grea, won the Americas Golden Spatula tournament on July 7, earning him a seat at the Tactician’s Cup World Championship. Over 32 of the best TFT Set 11 players from the Americas competed from July 5 to 7 at the first-ever Golden Spatula pan-regional finals. Riot changed the esports scene for Set 11 Inkborn Fables, combining NA, BR, and LATAM into one pan-region. And all three regions played their best to earn a TFT Worlds seed. Of the top eight who made it to day three, Grea from NA was the underdog sitting atop the leaderboard. Day three was his day to shine with two lobby wins and six top-four placements to win the Americas Golden Spatula. View the full article
  24. League of Legends giants T1 have emerged victorious at the inaugural Esports World Cup over LPL squad Top Esports, stepping up when it mattered most in the 3-1 win—but a record low number of fans tuned in to see the victory. The Faker-led outfit was made to work for the win against a determined TES who looked on track to win without a game lost after downing Gen.G and G2. The ******** squad, undefeated in the LPL Summer Split, opened the final with much fanfare after a 23-minute shellacking of the Korean squad, but Faker and co. managed to rebound and never looked back, winning three straight games to secure the trophy. 25. There are lots of things to dislike about Oblivion. The yam-faced NPCs. The boring main questline. The speechcraft minigame. The levelling system that punishes you for not grinding secondary skills. While the last is inescapable without mods, the others stop being issues—or at least recede way into the background—when you go to The Shivering Isles... Read more.View the full article
