  3. The Sakurajima summer update in Palworld brought a new variation of a much sought-after Pal, the Helzephyr Lux. The Helzephyr Lux, is a rideable bird-like creature with striking yellow bolt patterns instead of blue-streaked patterns on its wings. Similarly, they both still have Dark-typing, but the term "Lux" now introduces an Electric-type elemental advantage with the power to "hail lightning from the depths of *****". They are great for combat and are fantastic flying mounts to get. View the full article
  4. The Fallout franchise takes places in a post-apocalyptic America, following a nuclear war that nearly destroyed humanity. Across the official Fallout titles, the series has explored a dystopian California, Nevada, Massachusetts, West Virginia, and even a dilapidated Washington D.C. In every game, the distinct geography and history of the chosen setting has played into the plot and long-running themes of Fallout. But the U.S. has countless other cities and states that would make excellent locations for future titles in the franchise. View the full article
  5. A new report has discovered that the hype around the release of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree led to a substantial boost in player counts for Bloodborne. Developed by FromSoftware, the much-awaited Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC launched on June 21, and it appears the enormous level of anticipation around the expansion inadvertently uplifted one of the studio's most well-regarded titles of the past decade. 6. Manor Lords' publisher has defended the strategy game over a post that it thinks espouses an "endless growth" perspective "that causes so much trouble in the games industry." Earlier this year, Manor Lords released into early access, and it did so very successfully, racking up two million copies sold in its first three weeks. But, like many early access games, buzz around it has ***** down a bit, in part because big updates haven't been released too frequently since its release. A post from The Long Dark developer Hinterland's CEO Raphael van Lierop appeared to criticise this very point on LinkedIn, saying that while they "really love what is here" there's "very little to it" and that it's a "pretty interesting case-study in the pitfalls of Early Access development." Lierop continued, "It launched with a pretty strong base game but without much content. A heavily systems-centric game needs either a range of maps, game modes, or some amount of proc-gen dynamism to keep it fresh. Read more View the full article

Noire, says it is "working exclusively on projects for Rockstar" after an Instagram post suggested it was in development of a new project titled Snowden House. 9. To install a wide variety of popular mods for Fallout 4, players will first need to install F4SE or the Fallout 4 Script Extender. Created by modders Ian Patterson, Stephen Abel, and Brendan Borthwick, F4SE doesn't add much to Fallout 4 alone. 12. Despite what you might have seen, the creators of LA Noire aren't working on a new game, sorry to say. If you've been seeing people talking about a new game coming from the creators of LA Noire, I'm sorry to say that there isn't one coming. Earlier this week, *********** composer Freyja Garbett posted on Instagram talking about a new project from the creators of LA Noire, even giving it a name. "From the creators of LA Noire comes Sowden House, a psychological thriller also set in the 1940’s in LA that will have you questioning your sanity," Garbett wrote in the now deleted post (via Eurogamer). "This project has been HUGE and it is still unravelling and revealing itself to me. I never thought I’d be writing for [a] video game but I’m grateful for the opportunity!" However, Video Games Deluxe (the studio founded by Brendan McNamara, founder of the now defunct Team Bondi, the original studio behind LA Noire) shared a statement explaining that no, there isn't a game, and cleared the air on the post from Garbett (via VGC). "We are working exclusively on projects for Rockstar," reads the statement. "We commissioned some music from a local composer Freyja Garbett for a VR project that we were working on a number of years ago when between projects. Read more View the full article

  14. Bleach continues to be in its comeback era, as Bandai Namco has announced a new game that follows the classic series' original story. Despite the growing popularity of 2D fighters with classic franchises like Street Fighter and Tekken, as well as those just getting popular now like Guilty Gear, it seems like there's still room for the age-old arena fighter. We'll be seeing a brand new Dragon Ball Budokai game later this year, now adopting the ********* branding of Sparking! Zero, and as revealed by Bandai Namco at Anime Expo this weekend, Bleach will be getting a new arena fighter too. Titled Bleach Rebirth of Souls, this is the first new game based on the manga that isn't a free-to-play or mobile title since 2011's Bleach: Soul Resurrección, so it's sure to be quite a big deal for Bleach fans. "Awaken the blade and reverse your fate in Engage in thrilling action-packed battles with iconic characters from the legendary anime franchise including Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Uryu Ishida, and Yasutora Sado (Chad)," reads the game's official description in a press release. "In the game, players will be able to unleash unique sword abilities like Bankai and unlock new forms in battle to claim victory against their opponents. Bandai Namco will unveil many more exciting details about the game in the months to come." Read more View the full article For verified travel tips and real support, visit: [Hidden Content]

  19. Dynamax wasn't a very popular feature of Pokemon Sword and Shield, but it looks like it's on its way to Pokemon Go. I've not played Pokemon Go in a little while now, but hearing that Pokemon Go is now eight years old has aged me in a way I didn't think was possible. What do you mean it's almost a decade old? No, you're wrong, it just came out last week, and we were all outside trying to catch a Ratata! I can delude myself all I want, but unfortunately some new key art from Niantic really does say 8th Anniversary on it. As existentially awful as that is, though, it's not the most interesting thing on the art - what you'll likely care about, or potentially be annoyed by, is that it looks like Pokemon Go is gearing up to include Pokemon Sword and Shield's Dynamax feature. If you don't remember what Dynamax is, it was the eighth generation of games' gimmick, following on from X and Y's Mega Evolution, and Sun and Moon's Z-Moves. Where Mega Evolution was an extra evolution for certain Pokemon, and Z-Moves lets your captured critters do fancy, very powerful moves, Dynamax, uh… made your Pokemon *******. It also improved their stats, and gave them alternate versions of moves depending on the type of the move. For the most part, Dynamax as a feature wasn't all that well received, many thought it was a bit silly, and some didn't enjoy how it affected the competitive scene. Read more View the full article
  20. By all accounts, medieval Steam city-building game Manor Lords can be considered one of the big successes of 2024. It might not have soared to quite the highs of Palworld, Helldivers 2, or free games like The First Descendant, but it's tough to complain about two million sales in its first three weeks, a peak player count of 173,000, and a very positive Steam review score of 88% across more than 43,000 user responses. Responding to a criticism of the game's early access launch, its publisher Hooded Horse says the team is "thrilled beyond belief" with its performance so far. Read the rest of the story... 21. In the years after Beyond Good and Evil's launch and subsequent flop, it's taken on a legendary status as a shining example of originality in the action-adventure space. In 2003, following the success of the Rayman games, Michel Ancel turned his hand to a new IP, moving to a darker, more young-******-oriented universe inspired by the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche and late '80s to early '90s animation. Now, Ubisoft's newly remastered 20th-anniversary edition offers some quality-of-life improvements, bumps up the visual fidelity, and presents an easy entry point to one of the most charming videogame worlds yet created. 24. Players in Honkai: Star Rail 2.3 may have to choose between pulling for ***** or Argenti, especially considering the limitations on free Stellar *****, the resource used to obtain Star Rail Passes. Both ***** and Argenti are 5-star characters, each featured in their own character banner. 5-star units have a very low pull rate when compared to 4-star characters or 3-star Light Cones, for instance, and often players go through several dozens of pulls before they see one. This can be a very expensive process when it comes to the usage of Stellar ***** in Honkai: Star Rail. View the full article
