While a lot of folks had initially expected Palworld to be the subject of some kind of legal intervention by Nintendo after it attracted allegations that the models used for some of its creatures were close to being rip-offs of established Pokemon, it, well, hasn't. Last month, comedian and actor Eddie Murphy made the claim that the long in-development Shrek 5 was finally happening, and that there's even a Donkey movie on the way. Of course, Murphy could have always just been manifesting his own destiny, but as it turns out he was telling the truth - last night, Dreamworks officially announced that Shrek 5 is in development, and that you can expect to watch it in cinemas July 1, 2026. The announcement trailer was unsurprisingly set to Smash Mouth's All Star, the iconic track that appeared way back in the original 2001 animated film. Once Human developers Starry Studio were quick to remedy an account limitation on launch day for its post-apocalyptic survival game after it was revealed day-one players were being limited to a single character on just one locked-in server. Once Human went live on July 9 with various issues, some of which were fairly expected, according to a Starry Studio launch FAQ on the Once Human website. Included in the extensive list was a note stating early players would temporarily only be allowed to create a single character per account “due to technical limitations.” Character deletion was also disabled. There's a huge difference between arcade and home music gaming, in that home needs to comply with either the controller or mouse/keyboard while the arcade controls can just go nuts. Tap the screen with rubber-tipped drumsticks, twist a giant ring around a circular monitor, have more buttons and dials than a 50s sci-fi control panel, or forgo the use of display almost entirely and have little screens on the buttons themselves. It's the wild west in the musical arcade, and it will not be constrained by anything as pedestrian as a unified control scheme.
