Netflix has dropped a brand new teaser trailer for Castlevania: Nocturne season 2, and it sure does seem like everyone's favourite vampiric blonde boy will play a big part. It's Netflix Geeked Week, which means that the streamer has a whole bunch of announcements coming including things like Arcane, ****** Mirror, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. But kicking off the event is some Castlevania: Nocturne news, most notably being that the upcoming second season of the animated series is coming to Netflix next year, January 2025. That's only four months away, so you don't have all that long to wait, even though it might be a bit difficult - a teaser trailer was released alongside the release date window, and while it didn't show off too much of the second season, it did make it clear that everyone's favourite handsome vampire Alucard will be back to help out Richter Belmont some more. "Now joined by the legendary Alucard, Richter Belmont and his band of vampire hunters are in a desperate race against time," reads the description for the trailer on YouTube. "Erzsebet Báthory, the Vampire Messiah, who already seems invincible, seeks the full power of the goddess Sekhmet so she can plunge the world into endless darkness and *******." Whether you were hoping for them to land at the end of September or if you've paid for them already, the upcoming Cities Skylines 2 DLC packs, Modern Architecture and Urban Promenade, have just been delayed. Created by the city-building game's community, these asset sets were originally scheduled to arrive on Monday September 30, exactly two weeks from today. The infamous Madden curse appears to be back as Madden NFL 25 cover star ********** McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers has been ruled out for four games. Sky News reported on McCaffrey's shift to the injured reserve list due to calf tightness and achilles tendinitis one month after he graced the cover of the latest ********* football entry from EA Sports, which arrived August 13, 2024. McCaffrey could return as early as October 10 to play against the Seattle Seahawks so hopefully this injury scare isn't too serious, but it does bring the so-called Madden curse to mind. This fan theory suggests any athlete who appears on the cover of Madden NFL suffers a downturn in their career, either from an injury or generally underperforming. CBS Sports analyzed the history of the Madden curse upon McCaffrey's announcement as 2024's cover star, deeming that, between 2000 and 2024, 58% of players struggled after appearing on the cover. McCaffrey may tick that percentage up a touch, however. The injury hopefully won't derail McCaffrey's career or the 49ers' season, of course, and definitely won't affect his appearance on the cover of Madden NFL 25. The last memorable instance of a major change to the cover of a sports title was perhaps with NBA 2K18, when star Kyrie Irving demanded a trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Boston Celtics after 2K Sports had already printed the game's promotional material. It therefore had to order the Cavaliers version scrapped and reshoot and reprint every cover with Irving in Boston Celtics gear. IGN's Madden NFL 25 review returned a 6/10. We said: "There are a lot of on-field improvements to like in Madden NFL 25, but most were long overdue, and they don't offset all the same problems that weren't addressed elsewhere." How do you defend the antenna in Space Marine 2? The Tyranid-trampling horde shooter has more than its fair share of challenges. Between keeping the overwhelming number of smaller insectoids at bay and fending off Carnifex, there's a lot to keep track of. Perhaps the game's greatest obstacle, especially when playing on the hardest difficulties, surfaces when you're tasked with defending multiple structures from gargoyles. At the end of the second Space Marine 2 story mission, Skyfire, your squad will not only have to dispatch the avian threat tearing its way through the integrity bars of four antennae, but you'll also have to contest with waves of tyrannids that get progressively more difficult. Not long after Larian released its official modding toolkit for Baldur's Gate 3, it took next to no time for one modder to find out how to unlock a developer mode in it that gives folks to do things like creating custom levels. Now, almost as quickly, the early looks at the first few levels that modders have been working on are starting to pop up, including a version of Avernus. If you've been living under a rock, these modding tools came as part of BG3's Patch 7 which also included a heap of other stuff, if not everything that some Durge players wanted. Taking advantage of the possibilities modder Siegfre's 'BG3 Toolkit Unlocked' has, well, unlocked in terms of level editing, a couple of other modders have begun sharing the early work they've been doing in terms of custom maps. You've probably never played Professor Layton and the Mansion of the Deathly Mirror, but thanks to some dedicated fans, you might soon be able to. Prior to the advent of smartphones, Japan was very ahead of the game when it came to mobile phones. They could do things that are commonplace these days like email, stream live video, take pictures, and even play games. In-depth games too, with even big names like Final Fantasy having exclusive releases on Japan-only phones (also known as Keitai phones), like the Final Fantasy 7 title Before Crisis - there were a few Kingdom Hearts games too, the most notable being the original version of Kingdom Hearts Coded (with the rest just sort of being minigames). A lot of these have sort of been lost though, as hardly any of them were released outside of ********* phones, leaving fans to pick up the slack. And that's exactly what fans are doing with Professor Layton and the Mansion of the Deathly mirror, a ********* phone game that has been incomplete up until now. Game preservationist RockmanCosmo shared last week that fellow preservationist Yuvi had acquired a junk Fujitsu F906i phone, which just so happened to have all six chapters of the Professor Layton phone game. RockmanCosmo explains that "previously, we only had the first three chapters. An English translation will happen in due time!" The phone the game came from was in a real rough state - it literally looked like it survived a house ***** - so it's honestly a bit of a miracle the whole game is being preserved.
