Illustration Rare Pokémon are some of the prettiest cards in Pokémon TCG, and there are 15 you can find in Shrouded Fable from Aug 2. Most of the time, these cards are purely for collectors and don’t have much use in the game outside of casual play, but sometimes, some cards come along that are not only pretty but useful, and they become some of the most expensive cards to find in the set. Terminator Zero, which is penned by The Batman Part II's Mattson Tomlin, looks pretty solid. But at the same time, it feels like the franchise just can't escape its basic premise, and the anime series' newest trailer is doubling down on what has always worked. After a number of teases coming straight from Tomlin, who's spent at least a couple of years promising a fresh new take on the property, the teaser trailer was cool enough to make us raise an eyebrow. Now, after watching the main one, it's become clearer the franchise might need a full reset after going offline for a bit. Mind you, I thought Terminator: Dark Fate (2019) was actually quite ballsy and genuinely decent, as it tried to establish an entirely new conflict from the get-go in spite of retreading much of the Terminator 2 formula we all know and once loved. James Cameron was well aware that the IP had run out of gas after too many post-T2 sequels that just didn't hit the mark, yet he knew some concessions had to be made in order to step into a new era for the sci-fi series. That didn't work out at the box office despite positive-enough reviews, mainly because audiences had been burned out after so many subpar follow-ups, and so the series' big-screen future went dark again. Most of the cards you might find aren’t worth that much money, but the 10 Pokemon cards in this list are some you should look out for if you’re looking to turn a profit. View the full article
Dragon Age: The Veilguard developer BioWare has confirmed plans to announce the game’s release date, unveil a new roadmap, as well as offer further looks at the single-player RPG this month (August). In a blog post, the developer teased its plans as publisher EA narrowed Dragon Age: The Veilguard release window down to the third quarter of its 2025 financial year. That runs from October 1 to December 2024. BioWare had announced a fall 2024 release window for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Now we know that the game will not be released in September. Last month, BioWare said Dragon Age: The Veilguard is “Steam native,” which means the EA App is not required to play the game on Valve’s platform. Most EA-published video games do require the EA App, which replaced Origin in 2022, to play on Steam, much to the annoyance of many PC gamers. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is also verified on Steam Deck, BioWare added. BioWare has already revealed who voices the companions in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, in addition to some returning actors from past games. As previously confirmed, all the companions are romance options for the player. While we wait for the release date announcement, check out some of the Dragon Age: The Veilguard details we’ve learned so far about its difficulty options, combat, and character creator, as well as our first preview. Elden Ring’s DLC is packed with challenging encounters, and the final boss takes the biscuit. Promised Consort Radahn is ruthlessly aggressive and deals absurd damage, especially in his second phase, but one Elden Ring player just encountered a bug that knocks things into 12th gear. In a July 31 Reddit thread, u/Cagnaccioo shared a post titled “A second Radahn appeared mid bossfight” with a screenshot showing two copies of Promised Consort Radahn, poised and ready to strike, in his Enir-Ilim boss arena. Shadow of the Erdtree‘s final encounter was tough enough on its own, but two Radahns would be next to impossible. View the full article

Having a list of Suffolk amusement park mascots one desperately wishes to outlive out of an innate ******* for revenge is, I imagine, not a universal experience. Still, on the day Pleasurewood Hills mascot Woody Bear is taken by the soil, I will jig and whoop under the moon. I actually cannot remember when the beef started, but my mum reliably informs me that I was terrified to tears by this bear as a child. He yet survives, but mark my words: when the Woody Copters finally fall from their rusted hinges, I will salt the earth. Happily, I didn’t spot any bear mascots in Planet Coaster 2’s new deep ***** trailer. Read more View the full article
Well, would you look at that! I just got done pining for the merest whiff of Dungeon Keeper when what should appear on Steam but a free prologue for delightful voxel-arty management sim Dungeon Tycoon. I’m using the word ‘appear’ because, following yet more industry layoffs yesterday, I’m choosing to adopt the brain of an ****** as to shield myself from the crushing reality of material conditions. So, anyway, the magical game goblins whacked the demo on Steam, and I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. Thanks, adequately compensated and unionised gobbos! Read more View the full article

Raids look pretty dry for Pokémon Go in August 2024, especially compared to July’s Raid *****, where every Ultra ****** was available. It makes sense, though. After Pokémon Go Fest Global, what’s on offer in August doesn’t feel as spectacular, considering how spoilt for choice we were in July. We also have the Pokémon World Championships this month, so most Pokémon resources are going toward the big announcements there. View the full article

Ditto is a unique pocket monster in Pokémon Go as it disguises itself as one of many in-game Pokémon instead of just spawning on the map as a wild spawn. The August 2024 Pokémon Go events schedule’s here, and while it’s a little less exciting than July’s Pokemon Go Fest and Ultra Unlock events, there are still a few decent things to look forward to. In terms of new Pokémon debuts, there is currently nothing to get excited about. The first event of the year focuses on already obtainable fossil Pokémon and their Shiny forms, which have all been available for a while now. There might be some surprises later down the line, though, depending on what Niantic has in store for everyone. View the full article
