As part of the new “Launch Everywhere with Epic” program, Epic is reducing the royalty rate for games built with Unreal Engine from 5 percent to 3.5 percent — however, those games will have to be available on the Epic Games Store on launch day. The program kicks in on January 1st, 2025 for eligible games published on the Epic Games Store beginning that year. The PlayStation 5 Pro is coming soon, and Sony celebrated with a limited edition 30th anniversary edition of the upgraded console in the original PlayStation grey. Even with the console’s high price, there were plenty of people still ready to get the upgrade. Much like the original PlayStation 5, acquiring the console proved to be difficult due to the high amount of scalpers ready to resell the console at outrageously high prices, especially after the limited edition has already sold out. While this might be a problem over here in the US, Japan seems to have a way around these scalpers. On the ********* PS5 Pro website, the reservation page for the 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro has specific requirements listed at the bottom. In order to qualify, you must have a PlayStation Network account registered in Japan with a total of 30 hours of playtime between 2014 and 2024, on either the PS4 or PS5. Silent Hill is going to be on most horror fan's brains for the next month, obviously because of the fact the hotly anticipated remake of the second game in the series is due out in a week's time. I can't blame anyone, I'll be thinking about it too, I love Silent Hill 2 - it's a classic for good reason, and I'm curious to see what the wider consensus will be of its remake. Will people reflect on the original and think "we didn't know how good we had it"? Maybe people will say Silent Hill 2 "was always bad, actually."
