  1. Hogwarts Legacy is a beautiful and immersive world that lets players live out their own fantasy of being a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, providing many with a cozy feeling that is relaxing and comfortable despite the dark themes that fill the game. In reality, Hogwarts Legacy has plenty of serious narrative threads that can add weight and depth to its story, including ******, poachers, and more that is far beyond what any young student should have to experience. 5. In The Sims 4, there is no need to buy a house when you can be invited to move in. This can be done via genuine friendship, a new marriage, or just faking it until you make it. Many EA-curated homes have spare bedrooms or ample space to build more dwellings. It is just a question of which Sim is easy to schmooze, are close to the end of their lives, or have other goodies to takeover. View the full article

  13. It’s never too early to celebrate! That seems to be the rationale behind The Elder Scrolls Online‘s latest update, which sees the experimental Golden Pursuit system return for round two. If you don’t want to wait for the New Life event to earn festive rewards, look no further. Golden Pursuits are a bit of an odd feature, but certainly not an unwelcome one; any avenue to earn rewards for free is a good thing, after all. They are, in essence, limited-time optional objectives that any player can compete to earn unique rewards, a little bit like a battle pass but mercifully without having to put money down up front. You’re automatically opted in and probably even earning rewards without realizing it! To check the current list of Golden Pursuits or claim any rewards you’ve accrued, simply open up your group menu (which will be ******** gold to clue you in). View the full article

  16. It’s the season of giving, and for PlayStation 5 users, giving a game to a friend is one of the best gifts they can receive. But gifting games on the PS5 can be a little tricky. Of course, there’s always the good old-fashioned method of buying a physical game disc you can then give to your friend. But this is 2024, after all, and there are plenty of people with consoles that don’t even have disc-drives anymore. If your friend has one of the digital-only PS5s, giving them a game just got that much more complicated. And if you’re a PC player simply trying to give a game to a friend that’s on console, you might be surprised or disappointed to learn that gifting games on PS5 isn’t nearly as straightforward as it is on Steam. 18. Out of all the new subclasses coming in next year's Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 release, the most hilarious and possibly overpowered is the Way of the ******** Master Monk subclass. The developers are "putting the brew in homebrew" with this new addition to the popular Monk subclass options, and it will allow players to put all that booze they have lying around to good use. While the information is somewhat limited on these subclass features, there's enough to give players a sense of what items, feats, and strategies they might use when they try out a proper ****** Monk build in 2025. 19. The eerie, beating heart of my RailGod sits in the train's second carriage, pulsing ominously. I feed it my ***** - the pure essence of my hysteria, harvested from the core of my soul. It pulses faster, offering me a twisted new power in return for my sacrifice. Then, I do it all over again - plunging into maddening wastelands fraught with terrors in search of resources and, of course, food for the chugging locomotive that I'm symbiotically bound to. This is RailGods of Hysterra, an upcoming survival game from Troglobyte Games, and it's absolutely glorious. Read the rest of the story... 20. Turnover at the top of the company isn't stopping Intel from launching new products: Today the company is announcing the first of its next-generation B-series Intel Arc GPUs, the Arc B580 and Arc B570. Both are decidedly midrange graphics cards that will compete with the likes of Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4060 and AMD's RX 7600 series, but Intel is pricing them competitively: $249 for a B580 with 12GB of RAM and $219 for a B570 with 10GB of RAM. The B580 launches on December 13, while the B570 won't be available until January 16. The two cards are Intel's first dedicated GPUs based on its next-generation "Battlemage" architecture, a successor to the "Alchemist" architecture used in the A-series cards. Intel's Core Ultra 200 laptop processors were its first products to ship with Battlemage, though they used an integrated version with fewer of Intel's Xe cores and no dedicated memory. Both B-series GPUs use silicon manufactured on a 5 nm TSMC process, an upgrade from the 6 nm process used for the A-series; as of this writing, no integrated or dedicated Arc GPUs have been manufactured by one of Intel's factories. 23. If you’re like me, you’re team PC. But every now and again, it’s nice to kick back and play with a controller, and the PlayStation 5’s DualSense wireless controller is by far one of the best options on the market. But before you can make use of its features, you’ll have to first connect it to your PC. There are two main ways of playing on your PC with a PS5 controller: Bluetooth or USB. The former method is oftentimes what most people prefer; it’s nice to not have to deal with any restrictions of a USB cord, allowing you the freedom to play from whatever position or location in your house is the most comfortable. On the other hand, playing with a cable ensures your controller is charging and prevents any blips in the connection to your PC. 24. Dragon Age: The Veilguard reveals startling truths about the Grey Wardens. For a long time, these warriors have been seen as the brave defenders of Thedas, the only ones capable of stopping the Blight and its terrifying Darkspawn. The Grey Wardens are actually a group with limitations and contradictions. View the full article
  25. A STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl player has discovered an incredible Easter egg referencing the series debut, demonstrating the incredible attention to detail involved in developing the game. Despite the "2" in its title, STALKER 2 is technically the fourth game in the series. And although it's technically a standalone title, it's got lots to do with the previous games, featuring recurring characters, locations, and, as it turns out, even items from other entries in the STALKER series.
