  1. Civilization 7added a new settlement mechanic, towns, which have the option to be turned into cities. Civilization is ultimately a game of choices, so players will likely be curious to know when they should choose to leave a new settlement as a town or convert it into a city. Understanding the right time to make the swap, or if there ever really is a right time, requires understanding the major differences between the two types of settlements. View the full article
  2. Electronic Arts has recently removed Denuvo from Immortals of Aveum. Denuvo is often seen as a controversial and invasive software, so this will likely be seen as good news for gamers who want to play Immortals of Aveumon PC. View the full article
  3. There are two camps when it comes to XCOM: those who prefer the modern games from Firaxis, and those who long for the '90s charm of the original X-COM releases by MicroProse. If you're of the latter - we do not acknowledge fence-sitters - Xenonauts 2 is something that should be on your radar, especially with the chunky new update. Read the rest of the story... 4. The Future Stars Academy: Scout Report is your gateway to getting a 91-rated Icon with double playstyle+ in EA FC 25, but an unfortunate bug has ruined the fortunes of many. Thankfully, you can check out this guide before your selection to avoid making any mistakes. The bug has resulted in the rewards being distributed in an erroneous fashion. Instead of seeing their names, players are being shown the codes (makes it incredibly confusing). Thankfully, here's the full set of what you get behind each pick after completing the Future Stars Academy: Scout Report objective. All Future Stars Academy: Scout Report rewards in EA FC 25 The Future Stars Academy: Scout Report objective is pretty easy to complete. All you have to do is to complete three matches in any Ultimate Team mode while having your Future Stars Academy player in the starting squad. Once you complete the objective, you'll get two rewards: A pick between 5* Weak Foot/Skills, and 1 of 5 Playstyle+ pick (this will be your Academy Evo's second playstyle+ potentially). If you have been displayed a code, you won't know which reward to pick. Here's how to make your selection based on the coded names of the player pick. AcademySlot109: 5* Weak Foot AcademySlot110: 5* Skills AcademySlot117: Trivela+ AcademySlot116: Intercept+ AcademySlot115: First Touch+ AcademySlot114: Tiki Taka+ AcademySlot113: Trickster+ If you want to select 5* Weak Foot, pick AcademySlot109. If you want Skills, go with 110. Similarly, pick the corresponding pick for your desired playstyle+. It's unclear as to when this bug is going to be fixed, so it's better to depend on the solutions mentioned here. Once you have made your selections, you can then apply the relevant upgrades to your Academy Evo to improve them and unlock their full potential. Of course, the Future Stars promo is about special SBCs as well, and both Morgan Rogers and Andrea Pirlo offer terrific value. 5. If you've played the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you may remember the Kuttenberg region. It was discussed several times during quests, but there was no way to get to it. Fortunately, KCD2 finally allows you to go here, and we're here to show you how you can unlock Kuttenberg. How to unlock the second map in KCD2 When you first jump into Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you'll get the chance to explore the expansive Trosky region, including points of interest like Trosky Castle, Semine, and Zhelejov. You won't have access to the second map, Kuttenberg, as it is tied to a specific quest. In particular, you must complete the Storms main quest. It'll take you quite a while to reach this point, requiring a minimum of 11 to 12 hours of gameplay with the main story. If you want to see how long you've got until the Storms quest, here's a list of the missions you must complete first (in order): Last Rites Easy Riders Fortuna Laboratores Wedding Crashers For Whom the Bells Tolls Back in the Saddle Necessary Evil For Victory! Divine Messenger The Finger of God The beginning of KCD2 is a long and difficult journey, especially when you need to find a way to get into the wedding. You'll just have to put in a lot of time and grind enough to unlock the Storms mission. Once you've reached this point, you'll trigger The Sword and the Quill main quest, taking you to Suchdol village in Kuttenberg. I won't delve into any spoilers here, but let's just say Kuttenberg is a pretty big place. That means there will be plenty more quests to unlock, including the Dancing with the ****** storyline. Image via Warhorse Studios It will initially seem like you can't return to Trosky, as you're only presented with the Kuttenberg map. However, you can travel between the two regions using a caravan. If you're in Kuttenberg, use the caravan in Suchdol or the one near Nebakov Fortress while in Trosky. Keep in mind that some quests are time-limited, so you may need to be careful with frequent travels. Check out our all points of no return guide to ensure you don't miss out on any missions. 6. While exploring Big Adventures Park in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you may have come across a few ziplines that appear to be broken. Luckily, there is a way to repair each one, and it's rather simple, but first, you'll need to build up your friendship with a few of the island's residents. View the full article
  7. The Sundered Doctrine dungeon is bringing players to a familiar spot: Rhulk’s Pyramid. And yes, while dungeon loot is always an incentive, this dungeon has a particular lore significance. We’re not complaining if we get god-rolled weapons, though. Rhulk was the first example we saw of anything resembling Destiny 2‘s newest race, the Dread, and now his friends are coming back to his old stomping grounds. It’s easy to get lost within the sights of the Vow of the Disciple raid, especially when looking at the vast environments surrounding Rhulk’s boss area. And if, like me, you just knew there had to be some use for the Darkness cityscape around the area, your faith finally paid off—and it only took three years! View the full article

  11. Final Fantasy 14 is adding plenty of new content in Patch 7.2, one of which includes futuristic mechs, as players will work with the Loporrits to colonize barren stars and turn them into thriving hubs. While many players see Dawntrail as a step back compared to Endwalker, Final Fantasy 14 is planning an ambitious set of patches to address some of the major criticisms that its community has had in the past few years. Compared to Shadowbringers, Endwalker lacked a long-term multiplayer endgame activity for fans to engage with. There was no equivalent to either Bozja or Ishgard Restoration, funneling players towards Savage and Ultimate Raids. View the full article
  12. There are only two licensed professional sports games included in Wikipedia's "List of video games notable for negative reception." Do not be fooled, however: WWE 2K20 and eFootball 2022 are just the outliers, arriving so poorly crafted as to cause notable outcry and an actual change to development plans. Most licensed professional sports games come out yearly, whether fully baked, notably improved, or not, and fans who have few other options to play with their favorite intellectual property learn to make do with them. Not so with fans of Football Manager, a series that can be traced back in some form to 1992 that has released a game almost every year, minus one ownership shift in the early 2000s. Sports Interactive, the company behind the franchise, released a statement on Thursday (in British time) that says that, "following extensive internal discussions and careful consideration," Football Manager 25 is canceled. The game was "too far away from the standards you deserve," so they are focusing on the 2026 version. Trying not to make “the same bloody game every year” Credit: Sports Interactive Football Manager 2025 was already delayed twice and is now quite late—as we are now midway into the European football (or what Americans call soccer) season. The game was intended to be a major overhaul. Read full article Comments View the full article
  13. Arrowhead Games is already starting the new year off to a strong start with some exciting updates coming to Helldivers 2. While the latest patch notes add some much-needed weapon buffs and tweaks to various weapons and stratagems, the upcoming recent Warbond for Helldivers 2 stole the show with its explosive implications. The latest Warbond trailer introduced some incredibly powerful tools for Helldivers to help wipe out hordes of aliens with ease, but it might have some worrying implications for the future of the series. 14. Playing as a Vanguard in Marvel Rivals can be challenging, but many Vanguard players have stuck with their preferred class and ended up achieving some satisfying results. In a recent Reddit thread posted on r/MarvelRivals, players threw around reasons why playing as a Vanguard (Tank) can be so much fun. Many of the most common answers revolve around getting large amounts of KOs, with a recurring theme being “outDPSing the DPS.” Duelists (the game’s DPS characters) are usually the ones trying to get the most kills possible—and the class has a reputation of getting upset at others when the Duelist players in question run off on their own and get KO’d because of it, while the Vanguards are with the group taking all the damage. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t getting their own eliminations. View the full article
  15. One of the best candidates for an Economic Victory in Civilization 7 is the powerful leader Amina. She has a natural affinity for trade, resource management, and bolstering Gold reserves, especially when playing with some of her strategic civilization options. Across the Ages, Amina can pump out some serious Gold yields and will excel at establishing trade routes, maintaining peaceful trade relationships with allies, and crushing anyone who opposes her coin with a powerful Military presence. An Economic Victory is achieved by completing the Silk Roads, Treasure Fleets, and Railroad Tycoon Legacy Paths, as well as the World Bank project. View the full article
