  1. After a remaster of Days Gone was officially announced during PlayStation's February 2025 State of Play, fans have taken to social media to once again lament the loss of a sequel. Days Gone released to mixed reception in 2019, which ultimately led to the budding zombie franchise's demise despite protestation from those who enjoyed the experience. View the full article

  3. Along with Dual Zoren, Cedo is the latest weapon in Warframe to have gotten the Prime treatment. Cedo Prime parts—as you might have expected already—are scattered across three tiers of Void Relics, namely Lith, Neo, and Axi. Cedo Prime is an all-around upgrade over its base counterpart, which was already a favorite among Tennos. It comes with two additional Madurai (V) polarities, which means the final build will drain less of your Forma stash. The shotgun boasts a Condition Overload-like effect as its unique trait, which grants it 60 percent bonus damage per unique status effect on a target. The alternate fire is mostly used as a Primer to amplify the damage of its primary fire or whatever other weapon or abilities you have in your arsenal. View the full article

  6. As someone that's based in Glasgow, Scotland, I genuinely believe that dreary, almost moody weather can bring out the best in a landscape. My former university, for example, looks beautiful in the sunshine, but takes on a somewhat Bloodborne-y feel when the skies are gray. Murkiness maketh the mood (said someone, maybe), and Tides of Annihilation is all about gloom. Set in a modern-day London that's been destroyed by a mysterious calamity, you're thrust into the shoes of Gwendolyn, the city's sole survivor and newfound leader of the Arthurian Knights of the Round Table, and sent on a universe-spanning adventure unlike any I've ever seen. 7. An incredible soundtrack, a bleak, cyberpunk world, brutal isometric combat - Ruiner remains one of the best games of its era, a weightier, crunchier variation on the melee brawls of Hotline Miami, diced with sci-fi maximalism. Developer Reikon has been relatively quiet since Ruiner's launch, but now, finally, the team is back. Capturing the same futuristic brutalism as its spiritual predecessor, Metal Eden is a new FPS with shades of Doom Eternal and Cyberpunk 2077. Stylish and uncompromising, if Doom The Dark Ages has already piqued your interest, Reikon's latest should definitely be on your radar. Read the rest of the story... View the full article
  8. I'm not sure if an upcoming game has had release dates and windows leaked more (through official channels, no less) than Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater. The long awaited remake of MGS 3 - arguably the best entry in Hideo Kojima's stealthy series - most recently had an August date appear unintentionally on the PlayStation Store before being swiftly removed. Now, during Sony's State of Play showcase, Konami has confirmed that date was accurate. Metal Gear Solid Delta, at long last, has an officially confirmed date. Read the rest of the story... 9. Lies of P pulled the curtain back on its Overture DLC during Sony's latest PlayStation State of Play event. In 2023, Neowiz and Round8 Studio released Soulslike Lies of P to mostly positive reviews. The unique Soulslike embraced a dystopian fairytale theme, putting players in the shoes of Geppetto's Puppet Pinocchio as he faces off with all kinds of mechanical and organic horrors in the city of Krat. Lies of P was an instant success, and so it didn't take long for DLC to be announced for the game. View the full article
  10. Grand Theft Auto producer Leslie Benzies premiered new footage of his narrative action game MindsEye during PlayStation’s State of Play on Wednesday. Developed by Benzies’ Build A Rocket Boy and published by IOI Partners, MindsEye is described as “a story-driven, action-adventure thriller, set in a fictional near future Americana” and featuring “best-in-class cinematics, high-octane driving, and explosive combat”. 11. A rare dress will soon be making its return in Dress to Impress, but it’s easy to miss if you don’t know when or how to claim it. 14. I recently got to try the second open beta for Monster Hunter Wilds alongside hundreds of thousands of other players. This is my fourth time trying to get invested in a Monster Hunter game, as I previously played Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on the PSP, Monster Hunter World on PS4 - and later on PC - and Monster Hunter Rise on the Nintendo Switch. I've also played plenty of Monster Hunter clones, like the ill-fated yet nevertheless creative Wild Hearts, all to little success. As hard as I've tried to get into the series and genre as a whole, I've really struggled. View the full article

  18. During Sony's State of Play livestream on Wednesday, Capcom debuted the final launch trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds, which ends with a tease of what we can expect after launch. We now know the first monster we'll get to face after greatswording our way through high rank: Mizutsune, a serpentine leviathan that debuted back in 2015 in Monster Hunter: Generations. Mizutsune skipped Monster Hunter World, but did make an appearance in 2021's Monster Hunter Rise... Read more.View the full article
  19. Metal Eden was just announced at today's Sony State of Play, and it's being made by some folks with some serious professional pedigree. Developed by Reikon Games - who released RUINER back in 2017 - Metal Eden is a single player Sci-Fi FPS made by some former developers from both Techland and CD Projekt Red as well as a talented team of tech heads that have flocked to Reikon over the years. 20. The trailer for Lost Soul Aside shown at Sony's State of Play showcase really buries the lede. A girl dreams about an invasion of monsters, but you're the chosen one and official only hope, blah blah blah. Your best friend is a floating crystal dragon head who sounds like he's doing a Liam Neeson impersonation, and he says some stuff about your destiny. One minute in I was already stifling a yawn... 21. Capcom has shown off new gameplay of its upcoming 2026 action game, Onimusha: Way of the Sword. More than that, we finally know who's leading the next Onimusha and it's none other than historic swordsman Miyamoto Musashi. In a new trailer that premiered at the PlayStation State of Play, Capcom offered a new glimpse at the gameplay of the upcoming Onimusha: Way of the Sword. While the upcoming action game won't be out until 2026, it's looking quite good with sword-based action gameplay and big enemies. 『鬼武者 Way of the Sword』最新トレーラー公開! 瘴気に侵され妖しさ漂う江戸時代初期の「京都」を舞台にした至高の剣戟アクションゲーム。 主人公の人物像が垣間見られる、豊かな表情と決死の剣戟シーンをぜひご覧ください![Hidden Content] #鬼武者WS #鬼武者 #Onimusha [Hidden Content] — 「鬼武者」シリーズ公式 (@onimusha_capcom) February 12, 2025 Onimusha: Way of the Sword will also star Miyamoto Musashi, a Japanese swordsman whose exploits with the blade are famous in history. 22. As expected, the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater release date was confirmed during Sony’s State of Play 2025 broadcast alongside a new trailer. The August 28, 2025 release date leaked last week via the PlayStation Store, which also made a new trailer available. Both were confirmed officially during State of Play. An Ape Escape collaboration was also teased, followed by a message that reads “And More,” which seemingly alludes to further crossovers coming to the game. This first one looks like a reference to the original Metal Gear Solid 3, which featured a monkey minigame in which Snake would attempt to neutralize the animals with stun grenades and his ‘Monkey Shaker’ gun. Beyond a new first-person perspective, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is otherwise shaping up to be an exact recreation of the original. "Metal Gear Solid Delta seems more like a very shiny HD remaster than the elegant remake it could have been," IGN said in our Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater preview. "It’s an admittedly beautiful nostalgia trip, but almost faithful to a fault." Be sure to check out IGN's round-up of everything announced at State of Play 2025 for more on what's coming to PlayStation 5 in the years ahead. Wesley is the *** News Editor for IGN. 25. Borderlands 4 finally has an official release date set for later this year. But that release date runs far closer to the end of the year than previously estimated—and I’d be lying if it didn’t make me nervous about a Grand Theft Auto 6 delay. Revealed at today’s PlayStation State of Play, Borderlands 4 showed off a bit more gameplay and teased a new Borderlands-specific State of Play for this spring to show off the full suite of new vault hunters, their action skills, and more. And while the teaser was a short one, there was also a golden key of information for those dying to get into another vault—Borderlands 4 is releasing on Sept. 23. View the full article
