  7. With Monster Hunter Wilds barreling over the horizon, one big question remains - what are Capcom's post-launch plans for its colossal new RPG? Its two predecessors, World and Rise, are the studio's best-selling games of all time, and both have been comprehensively supported by a mixture of free updates, paid cosmetic DLC, and eventually a full 'master rank' expansion following in the series' long-standing tradition. Ahead of its launch, I sat down with Monster Hunter Wilds producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and director Yuya Tokuda to ask what the post-release roadmap looks like. Read the rest of the story... 8. We interrupt our regular schedule of fish puns and naughty jokes about holes to warn you that a huge chunk of celestial debris has a 2.3% chance of impacting Earth in December 2032 and wiping out the city of Bradford. I name Bradford because it’s the first city that occurs to me and also, because several of my ancient enemies live there, but the asteroid could hit anywhere. Where do you live? Maybe wear a hard hat when you go Xmas shopping in 2032. Asteroid 2024 YR4 loiters somewhere along our planet’s orbital trajectory, like a rake in the grass. If this were the 1980s we’d seek comfort in the pages of the Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, which has the words “DON’T PANIC” in large, friendly letters on the cover. But it’s the twenty-twenties and nobody reads Douglas Adams anymore, so instead I’m playing Neal.fun’s free tool Asteroid Launcher, which lets you pick asteroids of different sizes and compositions like you’re choosing brands of cereal, then splat them capriciously against world map data provided by Apple Inc. 10. As you go through the ages in Civilization 7, there will be plenty of new challenges arising, and combatting plagues can be a difficult ask. Plagues are mostly triggered during the Exploration Age when you start to access new regions. Some of your ships can accidentally bring back diseases and spread through your settlements. If left unchecked, the plagues will cause a lot of chaos and burn down your citizens' happiness before finishing them off. Thankfully, it's easy to stop and cure a plague if you know which steps to take. How to detect a plague in Civilization 7 It's very easy to spot a plague in your settlement, as there will be green clouds of smoke engulfing all the buildings. When you click on the settlement, it shows being in a state of unrest. Till you cure the disease, the settlement will be completely unproductive. Sadly, plagues don't go away automatically, and instead they can spread. When it's active, a plague can attack your units, including Commanders, and eliminate them. While it's mostly seen during the Exploration Age, you should always be careful. The moment you see the green clouds of doom, make sure to take the proper steps. How to stop and cure a plague in Civilization 7 Interestingly, the method of curing a plague seems to be somewhat similar to what happened in the medieval ages. You'll have to send a Physician to your affected settlement, and yes, they look like witch doctors. You can buy a Physician from the town or produce the unit in a city. Once you have a Physician, send it to a settlement with an active plague. Then, open the unit options to cure the settlement. Then, just wait for the Physician to do its job, and your settlement will be cured of the plague. However, there's still work left after a plague has been cured. You'll also have to increase the happiness of your citizens to restore their productivity. Constructing buildings like temples and inns helps to restore happiness. Certain resources like horses will also help you boost the happiness of your settlement. If the plague has eliminated any military unit, make sure to restore them once the plague is over. If you want to trigger a victory condition in Civilization 7, make sure to focus properly on situations like a plague to prevent long-term damage. 11. Returnal studio Housemarque sound like they're aiming to put more emphasis on the lite part of the roguelite formula with Saros, their next loop 'em up space shooter arriving exclusive to PlayStation 5 next year and likely on PC sometime after that, if past time loops are anything to go on. You'll be exploring a lost space colony as Arjun Devraj, a "Soltari Enforcer" played by Midnight Mass actor and big nerd Rahul Kohli. The planet you're on is named 'Carcosa', perhaps suggesting a continuation of the cosmic horror bits that Returnal did so well. Read more View the full article

  16. When you reach Maleshov in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you'll have two dedicated objectives: find Rosa's book and save Hans. The two jobs are interlinked with each other, as they're both in the tower. Unfortunately, the exact locations of either Hans or Rosa's book aren't shown on the map, so you'll have to find both without getting caught or eliminated by the guards. How to get the Maleshov Tower key in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Once you have reached Maleshov, go to the right-hand side of the castle. Open the door, and you'll find a guard in the room. Finish him off, head down the stairs, and go left. Ignore the guard and turn left inside the room. In this room, you'll find Drahomira, who is carrying the Maleshov Tower key. You'll have to obtain it from her, so knock her out. You can also steal it, but I make that attempt. Make sure to take these three keys from her. Maleshov Chambers Key Maleshov Fortress Key Maleshov Tower Key How to get Rosa's book in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Take the keys, and go left. Make sure to avoid the guard by hiding yourself, and then go past the main door. Take the stairs that lead to the Maleshov Tower and open the door. There's a set of stairs at this region that goes up, but it's guarded by two guards. Wait for them to go away before heading upstairs. At this point, head upstairs to open the door of the middle room. You'll find Hans and Vauquelin Brabant, and the objective is to ******* them out. Hand them weapons if you have spare, and wait till it's all clear before signaling Hans and Brabant. The room that contains Rosa's book can be found from where you entered the room to save Hans. Take the other door, and you'll find Lady Ofka. The easiest way to get the book is to persuade her to give you the book by stating your need. Alternatively, you can creep past and steal the book. There's reportedly a third option available as well. If you ask Hans and Brabant to head to the gate at the same time, it will cause chaos, and you'll find the room empty for you to get the book. After obtaining it, head back to Ruthard Palace to hand over the book. The post How to find Rosa’s Book in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 appeared first on Destructoid. View the full article

  22. In Warriors: Abyss there are 21 playable heroes to slay hordes of dead as, each with their own unique Traits and Actions. We've put together a Warriors: Abyss tier list to rank all the playable heroes so you know which ones are worth playing. Screenshot by Destructoid Warriors: Abyss Heroes Tier List Each hero in Warriors: Abyss has their own unique weapons, traits, and actions, offering a ton of unique playstyles and variability across the available 21 heroes. While all heroes can complete all content, this tier list ranks all the Warriors: Abyss heroes to help indicate which ones are overall better compared to the rest. Here is our Warriors: Abyss heroes tier list: S Tier All of the heroes in the S Tier of our Warriors: Abyss heroes tier list have powerful weapons able to cleave large swaths of enemies with powerful AoE. They also have useful traits that scale well as you progress further into a round, making them devastating options for progressing. Cao Cao Hanzo Hattori Kunoichi Zhang He A Tier The heroes represented in our A Tier are solid options with a powerful weapon option and traits that can be useful the longer you last. While they may not be as great at AoE as those in the S Tier, they can still quickly dispatch enemies with ease. Goemon Ishikawa Huang Gai Kenshin Uesugi Lu Xun Sun Shangxiang Xiahou Dun Zhenji Zhou Yu B Tier While the heroes in the B Tier are strong, most of them have traits that increase your ability to gain resources or even offer more defensive options, but don't compare to those in the S or A tier that have powerful offensive options that allow you to kill quicker which is the ultimate goal. Dian Wei Guan Yu Mitsuhide Akechi Yukimura Sanada Zhang Fei Zhao Yun Zhurong C Tier Unfortunately the two heroes in our C Tier for Warriors: Abyss are a bit lackluster compared to the other heroes. If you like their weapons, you can certainly still find success with them, but don't expect it to be as quick or easy as most of the others on this list.
