Avowed has an interesting lineup of characters, all of whom have unique stories to tell. If you're looking to get all of the achievements in Avowed, then you're going to need to summon a bear to fight another bear. Doing so will unlock the 'Two Bears High-Fiving' achievement in Avowed. It's also just a pretty cool spectacle to sit back and watch, so let me run you through the process. Two Bears High-Fiving achievement guide in Avowed First, you need to be able to summon a bear. This is done by unlocking the 'Bear Ally' ability from the 'Ranger' skill tree. This can only be purchased with one ability point once you reach level 15, so you're not going to be able to do this until you're a good 15-20 hours into the game. Screenshot by Destructoid Now that you can summon a Bear Ally, make your way to Emerald Stair and head to the northeast section of the map, near where the Ranger Headquarters is. Just to the west of this, you'll find a sunken area with shallow water. Alongside some of the mushroom monster enemies, you'll find a bear wandering around here (as long as you've not killed it already). Screenshot by Destructoid Clear out the mushroom enemies yourself and then summon your bear ally. Ideally, summon it as the bear enemy is near you, and they should lock on to one another. Let them fight it out for a bit, occasionally landing an attack or two yourself, and eventually, the achievement should pop. Bear locations in Avowed If you've already killed the bear northwest of the Ranger Headquarters, there are some others you've hopefully not killed yet (as enemies don't respawn). I advise searching around the west of Emerald Stair, near the Rock Arch Beascon fast travel point just east of The Delemgan Glade. Screenshot by Destructoid Here, you'll find two bears among other enemies that can be killed. The further you venture into Dalamagn territory toward the queen, you'll encounter some other bears, so this can be a good area to search. Alternatively, go back to Dawnshore and explore the forest areas to the east of the main city and the map in general. Specifically, visit the wooded areas on the map around Yellowband Camp, east of the Shrine to Woedica, and south of the Emerald Stair Gatehouse. I've circled each of these in red on the map screenshot below. Screenshot by Destructoid I found a few bears wandering around these locations and given you don't have to venture out this way for any main quests, there's a good chance you'll find a bear that you've not yet killed. Alternatively, you'll find a bear or two wandering the forest areas in the Overgrown Frontier on the west side of the Dawnshore map. All bear ally upgrades You can also make it easier to unlock this achievement by purchasing the Rank 2 and Rank 3 upgrades for the Bear Ally ability. I've listed each of these, when they're unlocked, and what they do below. Rank 2 (unlocked at level 18): Your bear ally roars when summoned, taunting enemies and increasing the damage it deals. Rank 3 (unlocked at level 20): Increases the duration of your bear ally summon by 15 seconds. By increasing its damage and the duration your bear ally will stick around for, you've got more chance of your bear actually engaging in a fight with another bear, and dealing heftier damage that should register to unlock the achievement. I managed to get it without either upgrade, but if you're having problems, this should help you out. That's everything you need to know on how to summon a bear to fight another bear in Avowed. Skull and Bones will host a special anniversary event to celebrate its release that begins on February 18 . After years of anticipation, the pirate-themed action-adventure game finally launched in early 2024. Destiny 2’s The Nether brings players back to the Dreadnaught for some loot and some good old-fashioned secret hunting. There’s plenty of mystery in the area with its puzzles and collectibles, and finding all of them can take some exploring. Each of the Dreadnaught’s four areas boasts a few secrets during the Nether activity. Solving each puzzle grants you a chest with some episodic loot and seasonal resources, so it’s usually worth undertaking. Not all puzzles spawn in a run, though, so some of these may be unavailable. Dawnshore is the first major area in Avowedand is where you will first come across a special category of side quests that includes treasure maps and clues pointing to locations of unique weapons and armor. Treasure maps are purchased from vendors around the Living Lands for a moderate amount of Skeyt and always have some interesting and cryptic clue alongside an image depicting physical structures or landscapes where the treasure is located. In Avowed, you will come across several significant choices over the course of your playthrough. One of these is the option to send the people of Fior to Thirdborn or Paradis, which comes at the end of the Ancient Soil questline. Despite the envoy's inability to wear headgear, their inventory in Avowed still has many slots that need filling. As with any RPG, the best items to fill those slots are the rare and distinct pieces asking to be found, and in Avowed's case, which are distributed across each carefully crafted map's crevices and rooftops. It probably doesn't get shouted about enough, but there's no denying that Songs of Conquest is one of the best new strategy games of the last couple of years. Scaling up the kind of action you'd find in games like Heroes of Might and Magic, it has attracted a surprisingly large and loyal following - publisher Coffee Stain says over 600,000 units have been shifted now, which is mighty impressive. Songs of Conquest is keen to keep capitalizing on the interest and delivering new content to players, and after launching its first DLC at the end of last year, it's now revealed what's to come in its second expansion. The team behind the upcoming 2D side-scrolling platformer Angry Video Game Nerd 8-bit realized it would be attending various conventions over the coming months and put together a mobile version of the iconic 'nerd room' from the upcoming game. It's a cool nod to the retro vibe of AVGN 8-bit, but it also reminded me just how much I miss my old gaming wall. [Hidden Content] Born in 1989, my gaming wall wasn't nearly as retro as the one created by the teams at Mega Cat Studios and Retroware. For better or worse—let's be real, better—the 70s-style wood paneling was already gone before I started my own wall, but other than that it was very similar. For me, it started as a shelf to hold my ***** Genesis games and VHS tapes before expanding to include the few ***** Saturn games I had, a ton of PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games, and a handful of ***** Dreamcast and Gamecube games. The different sizes of cases always presented a challenge that at the time was annoying, but now I would be thrilled to have to work out. By the time the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 rolled around, things were starting to move in the digital direction. I remember thinking, "There is no way I'll ever go digital! I love having my physical goodies!" Man, times have changed. I'm in a completely different house now, but there is no gaming wall. The few physical games I have sit on a simple stand near my consoles, though it's hardly enough to make a wall out of even if I wanted to. To build the Angry Video Game Nerd 8-bit nerd room, Retroware took 60 high-resolution photos of the iconic wall of games and printed them out, measuring each one to make them accurate to the actual set. In the end, the centerpiece wall is two 4-foot segments combined to create the 8-foot wall with that 70s-style wood paneling. I always wanted to recreate the iconic Nerd Room just for the hell of it, and this ended up being the perfect excuse. Plus, our team’s got a bunch of random skills—carpentry, painting, logistics, printing—you know, stuff we don’t really get to use when making indie games. So it was fun (and cathartic) to work those hard-skill muscles a bit. The fans at the expo were really into it, too. We had just announced the game right before MAGFest, so a lot of AVGN fans didn’t know that it existed yet. There are plenty of community lots to visit if your Sims want to go out in The Sims 4. Depending on which expansions you own, there are nightclubs, libraries, parks, and anything else you can think of. There’s one location that’s easy to stump even veteran players on how to get to, and that’s the hospital included in Get To Work. Where is the hospital, and how do your Sims visit if they need a doctor? We’re here to show you how. Where to find the hospital in The Sims 4 There are only two ways your sims can visit a hospital in The Sims 4: they must either be in labor or work as a doctor. Sadly, the hospital is not a visitable lot you can choose from in the Magnolia Promenade world. You can’t even choose to visit it when your Sim gets sick. If your Sim works in the doctor career, they’ll go to the hospital as their designated place of work, just like the lab for the science career track and the police station for the detective career track. If you follow your Sims to work that day, you’ll go with them to the hospital to help them perform their daily tasks. Screenshot by Destructoid Your Sim can still visit the hospital even if they don’t work there. However, the only way the option will come up is if they are in the final stage of pregnancy, go into labor, and choose to have the baby at the hospital. When your pregnant Sim begins labor, click on them, and you can choose where you want to have the baby and who you want to bring with you. Your Sims will be transported directly to the only hospital in the game. How to edit the hospital lot in The Sims 4 Once you’re at the hospital, you’ll find that, unlike other community lots, you can’t edit it in Build or Buy Mode. To edit the lot, bring up the cheat console by hitting Shift + Ctrl + C, type ‘testingcheats on’, hit enter, and then type ‘bb.enablefreebuild’. It's one of the best cheats for The Sims 4. Now, you can switch from Live Mode to Build or Buy and edit the hospital to your heart’s content. However, be aware that certain items are needed for the hospital to function properly during your career. Don’t delete any of the medical equipment or front desk, or if you do delete them, make sure to replace them. Unfortunately, you cannot set a lot type as hospital when building on other lots, so you’re stuck with the one in the game already. With a great main story and hundreds of side quests to discover, it is almost impossible for the Sole Survivor to run out of things to do in Fallout 4. While some quests involve the fate of the Commonwealth, or rebuilding a faction from the ground up, there are others that leave their mark in different ways. A recent leak circulating in the Infinity Nikki community has given players a look at the furniture that will be used in the upcoming housing system, as well as a new outfit. At its core, Infinity Nikki is a game that combines a vibrant, open-world experience with dress-up elements. Traveling across the world of Miraland as Nikki and her cat Momo, players are often required to use their Ability Outfits to solve exploration puzzles or purify hostile Esselings.
