  2. A post from Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier indicated Warner Bros. is making big cuts to its gaming division, with the media giant and publisher reportedly shutting down Monolith Productions, Player First Games, and WB San Diego. Schreier’s report originally appeared on social media today, but it follows previous reports of trouble for several WB gaming properties. The studios shut down are anything but unknowns, too. Monolith was responsible for developing both Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War, as well as multiple titles in the F.E.A.R. series and a planned Wonder Woman game that Schreier reports is now shut down completely after previously reporting the title was in trouble. Player First was responsible for MultiVersus, the platform fighter that will close up shop this May. View the full article
  3. The original Framework Laptop’s sales pitch was that it wanted to bring some of the modularity and repairability of the desktop PC ecosystem to a functional, thin-and-light laptop. For nearly half a decade, the company has made good on that promise with multiple motherboard upgrades and other tweaks for the original 13-inch Framework Laptop; with the Framework Laptop 16 and Laptop 12, the company has tried to bring the same ethos to gaming/workstation laptops and budget PCs for students. One of Framework's announcements today was for the company's first desktop PC. Unsurprisingly dubbed the Framework Desktop, it's aimed less at the general-purpose PC crowd and more at people who want the smallest, most powerful desktop they can build and will pay extra money to get it. Pre-orders for this system start today, and Framework says it should ship in Q3 of 2025. Here was my first question: What does a company trying to build a more desktop-like laptop have to bring to the desktop ecosystem, where things are already standardized, upgradeable, and repairable? 6. At first glance, you could think that Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is the dark fantasy, action RPG of your dreams. It might be, but it is also a mobile-forward, open-world game a la Genshin Impact or Infinity Nikki. However, as any serious fan of those games can tell you, they get deep fast. Kingsroad also nails the franchise's gritty fantasy look and appears to be a complex and thrilling action game, influenced by Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Monster Hunter. Even if you are skeptical, you can play the demo now and try it yourself. But you'll need to act fast, because the demo is only available for a short time. Read the rest of the story... 10. Call of Duty has done a relatively good job at reinventing its cumbersome UI and unlock system over the past few years, but there are still some annoying outliers. One example in ****** Ops 6 is a new item in Season Two Reloaded called “Hunter’s Instinct.” It shows up as locked when in the Perk select screen in your loadout menu, but there’s no indication on where to find it or how to get it. 12. While all you Subnautica fans have an exciting sequel on the way, here's a freshly revealed survival game that ticks a lot of the same boxes while adding its own spin on things. While you won't be diving down to depths quite as extreme as Subnautica, the absolutely stunning The Last Caretaker will take you on an open-world, ocean-bound adventure that involves plenty of environmental puzzles, a home base on a boat, flashy FPS combat, strange enemy creatures, and a rather unusual end goal - growing humans, packing them into a rocket, and blasting them off into outer space. 13. Ark: Survival Ascended has plenty of strong bosses, but the Medusa from the Astraeos DLC may be one of the most difficult to beat for different rewards. As you explore the Astraeos map, you'll have to look for specific items to challenge Medusa. View the full article

Niantic has hosted live in-person events like Go Fest for three years in a row around these two cities—much to the disdain of fans located elsewhere on the continent. Outside of NA, Europe has seen a Go Fest run in four different countries in four years, while fans in Japan have been able to go to various prominent locations from Osaka to Sapporo. Despite so much variety elsewhere to give more trainers a chance to have a home event, Niantic has only focused on two locations the past three years now in NA. View the full article
