  1. ***** Atlus has unveiled its collector's edition of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army in collaboration with Limited Run Games, and its price may be tough to ********. Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Armyis a remaster of the 2006 Shin Megami Tensei spinoff originally titled ****** Summoner - Raidou Kuzunoha Vs. The Soulless Army. The original was one of the only real-time combat games in Atlus' larger Shin Megami Tensei franchise, and seeing that not many gamers played the original, Raidou Remastered will almost act as an all-new Atlus game for newer fans of the beloved JRPG studio. 2. Between Fallout New Vegas, the original ****** Ops, and dozens of other PC hits, 2010 was a reputable, if not superlative, year for videogames. There were some great games - Halo Reach, Red Dead Redemption, Civilization 5 - and plenty that you might not remember at all. The great chasm of time has claimed many games and studios, and yet, among the morass, one totally forgotten hack-and-slasher has somehow managed to cling to life. Canceled 15 years ago, and hitherto confined to the footnotes of gaming history, it's a bit Prince of Persia, a bit God of War, and a bit Assassin's Creed: ****** Flag. It was never meant to exist - and yet here it is. The almost mythical Captain Blood is now on Steam. Read the rest of the story... 3. In 2025, Elden Ring is going to get even better. Not only is the multiplayer-focused Nightreign on the horizon, but Fromsoftware's open world opus is also getting completely new DLC. Though it's hitting the Nintendo Switch 2 first, all the extras in the Tarnished Edition will come to PC before the end of the year. So forget ******'s Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro, because it's time to return to The Lands Between. Read the rest of the story... 8. I'm a bit of a sucker for weird genre combos. With the amount of games getting released every single day that often combine the same kinds of genres, you start to get hungry for mashups that make you go, "hang on, would that even work?" So when I saw Drop Duchy release yesterday, which mixes Tetris, land-grabbing strategy, deckbuilding and roguelite gameplay, I asked that exact question. Turns out the answer is yes! 9. Grand Theft Auto 6 returns to the classic Vice City setting, but a new roster of characters comes alongside the jump to a modern setting and a larger look at the state of Leonida. The game's first trailer revealed a Bonnie and Clyde-style couple at the center of things, but not much else in the way of central figures. After the release of the second trailer, however, Rockstar Games showed off a lot more information about the cast. View the full article

  11. The best way to play Gears of War: Reloaded may be on a Sony console, as the game is getting PS5 Pro enhancements. Microsoft has made a trend of bringing franchises that were once Xbox exclusives to other platforms, specifically PlayStation, often seen as its biggest rival, and now it's clear that its remaster of the first Gears of War game is no exception. On top of getting a PS5 release, Gears of War: Reloaded will look and play even better on the PS5 Pro. View the full article

  14. Nvidia will release the GeForce RTX 5060 on May 19 starting at $299, the company announced via press release today. The new card, a successor to popular past GPUs like the GTX 1060 and RTX 3060, will bring Nvidia's DLSS 4 and Multi Frame-Generation technology to budget-to-mainstream gaming builds—at least, it would if every single GPU launched by any company at any price wasn't instantly selling out these days. Nvidia announced a May release for the 5060 last month when it released the RTX 5060 Ti for $379 (8GB) and $429 (16GB). Prices for that card so far haven't been as inflated as they have been for the RTX 5070 on up, but the cheapest ones you can currently get are still between $50 and $100 over that MSRP. Unless Nvidia and its partners have made dramatically more RTX 5060 cards than they've made of any other model so far, expect this card to carry a similar pricing premium for a while. But its utility at higher resolutions will continue to be limited by its 8GB of RAM, which is already becoming a problem for a handful of high-end games at 1440p and 4K. While Doom: The Dark Ages may take us back in time before the events of the 2016 reboot and its sequel, Eternal, it doesn't seem to be holding back on creative new ways to rip and tear, and you can already grab it at a major discount before it's even out. 18. Last month, Nintendo and its third-party partners revealed that many of the "physical" games on the Switch 2 would be made available only as "Digital Key Cards." Unlike traditional physical Switch games—which contain flash memory with the necessary data to play the game on the card itself—these key cards will simply enable the holder to download a copy of the game to their system and play that copy if and when the transferable key card is inserted in the system. Already, many players are thinking ahead to what this means for their ability to play Game Key Card releases well into the future. It's not hard to find potential Switch 2 owners publicly worrying about games "disappear[ing] into the void" or becoming "effectively a worthless piece of plastic/e-waste" when Nintendo eventually disables its Switch 2 game download servers. Some go even farther, calling a Game Key Card an "eighty dollar rental" rather than a real game purchase. While these are valid long-term concerns, I think some players are underestimating the likely timeline for when Game Key Cards will become "useless e-waste." As it stands, we already have an example of Nintendo supporting continued downloads of games purchased nearly two decades ago and counting. Read full article Comments View the full article

It is a pretty momentous day for the millions of people who've been eagerly anticipating this game and likely lamented when it was delayed until 2026. However, for the few of us who don't really care about Grand Theft Auto 6, despite being told that it will be the biggest thing to happen to gaming in a long time, this trailer marks yet another distraction from sinking more hours into games we actually want to play. 23. With an official release date set for May 2026 and a brand-new trailer revealing some of the main characters in Grand Theft Auto 6, we also caught a glimpse at some of the eye-popping locations around the state of Leonida. The fictional state of Leonida is the official setting for the highly-anticipated new installment in the epic franchise, and based on what we've seen so far, its criminal underbelly is as depraved and debaucherous as you'd expect a GTA entry to be.
