Hardest Dark Souls 3 Boss With the Coldest Dialogues Needs to be in Elden Ring Nightreign
Hardest Dark Souls 3 Boss With the Coldest Dialogues Needs to be in Elden Ring Nightreign
In the dark world of Dark Souls 3, no boss has ever etched itself deeper into the souls of some players than Slave Knight Gael. And it is not just because it is one of the hardest bosses Hidetaka Miyazaki has ever created, but also because of his lore backdrop, which is showcased perfectly through some of the coldest dialogues ever.
Moreover, seeing how a few iconic bosses from the world of Dark Souls are making their way back to relevancy thanks to Elden Ring Nightreign, I believe it’s only fair we get to see Slave Knight Gael too, alongside the already teased horror of The Nameless King that the players will have to battle at the end of the game.
This one Dark Souls 3 boss deserves a spot in Elden Ring Nightreign
Slave Knight Gael deserves to come back | FromSoftware
Slave Knight Gael isn’t your typical endgame boss. He was introduced quietly in The Ringed City DLC as a loyal servant seeking the “blood of the dark soul as pigment for the Painted World.”
Not only is Gael one of the hardest bosses found in Dark Souls 3, but he is essentially one of the few bosses throughout the trilogy who bring such a balance of gameplay and narrative significance at once. The boss fight against him is a brutal one, as players have to stand against three phases of hardship before they finally get rid of him.
What’s even better is that he can be summoned as an NPC and help in a few fights throughout the game, including the second phase of Sister Freide’s boss fight. Players also struggle a lot in their own boss fight, as the damage Gael deals is enough to make a light-tempered player break a controller or two.
The best part of all of this is the boss’s dialogue throughout the player’s interactions. Throughout the fight, he makes you feel that you are not battling a villain but someone who’s lost everything and is still standing. This brings us to Elden Ring Nightreign. With its shadowy themes and a focus on forgotten legends rising again, this is the perfect chance to revive Gael once again.
Slave Knight Gael in Elden Ring Nightreign: A perfect fit
The themes of the upcoming Elden Ring Nightreign make a perfect fit for the boss | FromSoftware
Given that he is a boss from Dark Souls 3, Slave Knight Gael doesn’t need to be an enemy that simply gets copy-pasted from his game of origin. Instead, he deserves a proper comeback with revised mechanics and a new batch of lore that will keep his legacy alive, coming over from the 2016 title.
Despite being a perfect fit for Elden Ring Nightreign, the unfortunate news is that there seems to be no presence of the iconic Dark Souls 3 boss in the upcoming game. And as we inch closer to the slated release date of 30th May, it starts to seem more like a missed opportunity.
The last ray of hope seems to be a pre-teased DLC for Nightreign, which got revealed with the game’s collector’s edition pack. Along with more content and Nightfarers, FromSoftware would definitely be looking forward to introducing more Nightlords, and no one seems a better fit than Slave Knight Gael for now.
Elden Ring Nightreign will be officially released on 30th May, 2025, and available on PC, Xbox One/Series S/Series X, and PlayStation 4/5.

People Are Confused As Heck After This Fox News Host Tried To Continue A Segment Seconds After His Guest Fainted On-Air
Almost NOTHING that happens on Fox News is shocking anymore, but a recent video of a Fox News host trying to continue a segment after his guest panelist fainted live on-air is going viral:
FOX News / Twitter: @MikeSington
A few seconds into the clip, Fox News panelist and former Donald Trump staffer Camryn Kinsey began noticeably stuttering as she spoke.
After pausing, she fell out of her chair and collapsed onto the floor with a loud thud.
“Oh! Oh my goodness. Oh, we’re just gonna get some help here for Camryn” host Jonathan Hunt said quickly, as a person from behind the scenes ran toward Kinsey on the floor.

“Um, let me come back to Lydia while we get some help to Camryn here,” Hunt said glancing towards the floor.
“Um, so, uh Lydia, President Biden…” Hunt said, collecting his papers and turning his focus back to the camera.

After a pause, Hunt then said, “We’re gonna actually, we’re gonna go to break right here. We’ll be right back.”

When the show returned, Hunt gave an update, saying, “We want to give you a quick update. Camryn is up and moving. We have paramedics checking her. We will keep you updated. We wish her all the best.” Kinsey herself also took to X to share that “everything is okay.”

Millions of people have now watched the viral clip, and many expressed displeasure at the Fox News host not doing more to help.
“This is MAGA health care. Someone literally faints and falls in front of Fox News host Jonathan Hunt. He does NOTHING and keeps reporting. I’ve never seen anything like it,” Congressman Eric Swalwell wrote in response to the viral clip.

“My co-workers and I are borderline ghouls and even we would have tossed to commercial right away,” another person agreed.
FOX News / @pattomasulo / Via x.com
“I get that people were already rushing to her side but like. Wouldn’t the normal response be to cut to commercials immediately instead of trying to half-assedly continue like nothing?” this person questioned.
“Be a human first. Anchor man second.”

Adrian Barich: today we celebrate mothers, the people who care for us, defend us and are our biggest fans
Adrian Barich: today we celebrate mothers, the people who care for us, defend us and are our biggest fans
OK, it’s time to celebrate everyone’s first groupie. The person who, ever since she laid eyes on you, has been your biggest fan. We may not acknowledge it enough or in some cases even believe it, but before the world even knew your name, your mum was front row.
My mum Dawn was my greatest defender and though she was petite and very ladylike, God help anyone who slighted her son. Even when one of my coaches questioned my performance for the Eagles, in a glass-half-full moment, Mum replied, “well, at least Adrian got some fresh air and exercise today”.
I’m sure most mums are the same; keeping scrapbooks of the times you’ve appeared in the paper or been mentioned somewhere, even hoarding drawings from when you were a kid. Maybe your mum even kept that wonky clay ashtray you made during pottery class (imagine kids doing that these days — no chance).
Jodie is the same with our son Tom. As soon as he decided to do a bit of FIFO work she googled, “Are you a first time FIFO worker? Here’s what to pack” and proceeded to buy everything on the very long list below.
“Adrian, can you go to Bunnings and buy a flash-ish tape measure?” Off I went, a bit unsure as to what a “not too flash” tape measure looked like.
“Oh, and antihistamine tablets, some thick work socks (bamboo is highly recommended) and tinea cream, Bepanthen for chaffing, those exfoliating glove things to get the red dust off. And maybe some aluminium foil to cover the windows.”
Good grief.
She’s just as bad (or good) with our daughter Madi.
That’s why, whatever is going on, as far as possible, within reason, never hurt your mum in any way.
As someone unknown once wrote, “Your mother is the one who loved you before you even existed. She carried you for months, nurtured you when you couldn’t even ask, and gave you a love so pure that nothing in this world could compare. Through every sleepless night, every sacrifice, and every challenge, her love for you never wavered. Never take that love for granted, and never cause harm to the person who gave you life and endless care. Show your mother the respect, gratitude and love she deserves every single day, because no one else in this world will love you the way she does. Love your mother with all your heart.”
One of the world’s best footballers, Cristiano Ronaldo, admitted he once made his mother cry and the next morning she made him breakfast and prayed for him. It was then he realised what true love is.
So on Mother’s Day, let’s not forget that mothers need to be mothered too. For many mums, the tradition was to get married early, have kids and look after the home, in what was believed to be the perfect life. But really, it could also be a time for anxiety and maybe even isolation.
And it was taboo to complain or even utter the the words “motherhood is tough”. It was all focused on keeping up appearances, burying your true feelings and ploughing on, smiling where possible.
The truth is that a lot of motherhood is about sacrifice and neglect: putting aside your own dreams, goals and interests or, at best, putting them last. This is what we should think about on Sunday.
One day of acknowledgement doesn’t seem like enough, does it? I’m not sure, but maybe what mums truly want is gratitude. Let her know that you understand just how much she loves you.
And another thing they definitely value is their children getting on well together, so all their hard work in trying to maintain a happy family unit hasn’t been for nothing.
So, as for a gift on Mother’s Day, how about someone empties the dishwasher without being asked? Give her a chance to finish her tea or coffee without it going cold and maybe gift her a whole day where she doesn’t have to make decisions.
And most of all, a hug that says “you’re doing so much; I see it, and you’re amazing”.

Danny Welbeck: Brighton’s ‘role model’ hits double figures for first time in Premier League
Danny Welbeck: Brighton’s ‘role model’ hits double figures for first time in Premier League
A 17-year wait is finally over for Danny Welbeck.
For the first time in his career, the 34-year-old striker hit double figures for Premier League goals in a single season with his penalty in Saturday’s 2-0 win at Wolves.
Shining for Brighton in the twilight of his career, Welbeck’s latest contribution helped ensure the Seagulls remain firmly in the fight to secure European football with just two games remaining.
“It is a good milestone to have – and I feel like it could have been more,” said Welbeck, who scored on his Premier League debut for Manchester United as a 17-year-old in November 2008.
“I’m looking forward to improving. We have two more games left and hopefully I’ll get some more [goals].”
Much of the former Manchester United, Arsenal and Watford player’s career has been disrupted by persistent injury issues, at least prior to his arrival on the south coast.
But he has now made as many as 29 appearances in three consecutive Premier League seasons for the first time in his career, helping him to at last score 10 goals in a campaign.
He is one goal away from matching his most productive season across all competitions, scoring 12 times for Manchester United in 2011-12.
Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler said: “First of all I need to thank the medical department that Danny is on the pitch. Danny has never had so many minutes for us as he has had in this season.
“Danny is a special character, an unbelievable role model for everyone, especially the younger players, both on the pitch and on the side.
“On top of that, he is a great goalscorer. I am really happy for him that he has this record.”

Xbox and The Elder Scrolls 6 Have the Perfect Way to Clap Back at the GTA 6 Trailer for Showing the PS6
Xbox and The Elder Scrolls 6 Have the Perfect Way to Clap Back at the GTA 6 Trailer for Showing the PS6
While it was disappointing to see that Rockstar Games delayed Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6), at least the developer gave us a trailer for the title. That’s right, after 500 days of waiting, we got the second trailer for GTA 6.
As you’d expect, gamers have been analyzing every frame in GTA 6‘s new trailer, and they’ve found a number of Easter eggs and references. What really caught the fans’ attention was a mysterious console in the trailer that resembles a PlayStation.
Many in the community speculate Sony has partnered up with Rockstar Games for promoting the PS6. It’s a bold strike against Xbox that’s been making waves in recent weeks, but team green can make a comeback by partnering with Elder Scrolls 6.
The Elder Scrolls 6 can prove to be Xbox’s trump card
Head to the 2:10-minute mark in the latest GTA 6 trailer, and you’ll see something interesting next to the screen. There’s a white device that seems to be a PS5. However, it’s not the current generation console as it’s much thinner and has a long blue backlight right in the center.
The community is running wild with speculation about this console. We already know that the entirety of the trailer has been recorded on a PS5. What if there’s a chance that Sony has secretly partnered up with Rockstar to tease PS6? Rumors have suggested in the past that there have been some talks between the two companies.
Microsoft and Xbox can’t remain silent on this move. Although Xbox has hit new records, if PlayStation forms an alliance with one of the most anticipated titles of the decade, it’s all over. However, considering the fact that Elder Scrolls 6 is on the horizon, Xbox has a golden opportunity.
Xbox can partner with Bethesda and bring hidden console references directly into Tamriel’s world. Just imagine a beautiful mural on a temple wall or a mysterious relic in an ancient tomb embedded with a symbol of the iconic green “X” logo. It’s a subtle reference that would feel natural in a game.
GTA 6 might partner up with PlayStation. (Image via Rockstar Games)
Not only would Xbox be able to gain attention from the Elder Scrolls 6 community, but it would also confirm the game’s exclusivity on its platform. It won’t ruin the immersion or the looks either. Such a marketing strategy is a must for Xbox, considering the challenge GTA 6‘s partnership with PS5 could bring to the table.
GTA 6 might feature the comeback of an iconic character
A fan-favorite character could be coming to the game. (Image via Rockstar Games)
It’s not just the discovery of a potential PS6 teaser in the latest GTA 6 trailer. Once again, if you head to the 2:10 mark, you’ll notice a face that’s quite familiar, Phil Cassidy. He’s an arms dealer whom we saw all the way back in Grand Theft Auto 3.
In the trailer, we can see him promoting a gun store. There’s no denying that the character has quite a strong resemblance to Phil and the shop he works at even has his name.
However, if you’ve forgotten, Phil loses his arm in the original Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The character shown in the trailer still hasn’t lost his, so that means it isn’t Phil.
However, this issue can be covered up by explaining that GTA 6 is set in a completely different universe compared to previous GTA titles set in Vice City.
GTA 6 is all set to release on May 26, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X.

One Steam Deck Feature Forced Me to Not Buy the Nintendo Switch 2
One Steam Deck Feature Forced Me to Not Buy the Nintendo Switch 2
Like many gamers, I couldn’t help but got sucked into the hype of Nintendo Switch 2. The upgraded hardware, new features, and the slew of third-party titles all point towards a very near future when the hybrid console will most likely dominate the market again, despite the price concerns.
But we are living in 2025, and Nintendo isn’t the only fish in the Handheld pond anymore. There are various contenders, and the biggest one has to be the Steam Deck. While I was excited about Switch 2 and was thinking about pre-ordering it, one standout feature of Valve’s handheld tipped the scales for me: the desktop mode.
Desktop Mode: The Steam Deck’s game-changing feature
The Steam Deck isn’t just a portable gaming machine; it’s a full-fledged Linux PC hidden in a handheld body. When Valve first launched the Deck, it was a bold statement: quality gaming on the go, with the openness and flexibility of a PC.
For the first time, players weren’t locked into just one storefront or one way of using their handheld console. Whether I wanted to play AAA Steam games, indie titles, install mods, or even dive into retro emulated classics, the Deck gave me that freedom, all in a device I could take anywhere.
But what really sealed the deal for me was the Desktop Mode. With just a few taps, I can leave the Gaming Mode and jump into a Linux-based desktop, giving me access to a complete computing environment. This means installing third-party apps is as simple as on any PC.
I can use emulators, run non-Steam games, browse the web with full desktop browsers, and install productivity tools. The freedom of a PC, right in my palms. This feature essentially makes the device not just limited to one library or one way of using my hardware.
I’m free to shape it into what I need, whether that’s gaming, productivity, or entertainment. This openness makes the Steam Deck particularly appealing to tech-savvy users like me who enjoy tinkering with files, modding games, and customizing the experience to make it even more enjoyable.
The Switch 2 has the games, but not the freedom
One is a console. The other is a console, computer, emulator, and sandbox. | Image Credit: Nintendo
I’ll give Nintendo credit where it’s due: they know how to generate hype. The Switch 2 promises everything fans have been asking for: a better screen, new features, and even backward compatibility.
Titles like New Mario Kart and Metroid Prime are practically system-sellers on their own, in addition to tons of third-party titles. But after experiencing the openness of the Steam Deck, I started to see those familiar Nintendo walls more clearly.
Nintendo’s ecosystem, by design, is tightly controlled. I can only install what Nintendo approves, whether it’s games, apps, or even basic functionality. Want to run emulators? Forget it. Thinking about tinkering with the OS? Ready for a ban or worse, a lawsuit.
Yes, the Switch 2 will almost certainly offer a smoother docked experience — but at the end of the day, that’s still just a ******* screen for the duplicate walled-off content. It doesn’t come close to transforming the system into something fundamentally more versatile.
As much as I’ll miss Nintendo’s iconic titles, I’m not willing to trade away that freedom anymore. After seeing what true flexibility feels like, it’s hard to go back, and that’s where the Steam Deck quietly, but powerfully, changed the conversation for me.

U.S.-China tariff talks to continue Sunday, official tells the AP
U.S.-China tariff talks to continue Sunday, official tells the AP
Sensitive talks between U.S. and ******** delegations over tariffs that threaten to upend the global economy ended after a day of prolonged negotiations and will resume Sunday, an official told The Associated Press.
There was no immediate indication whether progress was made Saturday during the meeting over 10 hours between Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and ******** Vice Premier He Lifeng.
The official who spoke to the AP requested anonymity because of the sensitivity of the talks, which could help stabilize world markets roiled by the U.S.-China standoff. The talks have been shrouded in secrecy and neither side made comments to reporters on the way out.
Several convoys of ****** vehicles left the residence of the Swiss ambassador to the U.N. in Geneva, which hosted the talks aimed at de-escalating trade tensions between the world’s two biggest economies. Diplomats from both sides also confirmed that the talks took place.
The talks were taking place in the sumptuous 18th-century “Villa Saladin” overlooking Lake Geneva. The former estate was bequeathed to the Swiss state in 1973, according to the Geneva government.
Prospects for a major breakthrough appear dim. But there is hope that the two countries will scale back the massive taxes — tariffs — they’ve slapped on each other’s goods, a move that would relieve world financial markets and companies on both sides of the Pacific Ocean that depend on U.S.-China trade.
U.S. President Donald Trump last month raised U.S. tariffs on China to a combined 145%, and China retaliated by hitting American imports with a 125% levy. Tariffs that high essentially amount to the countries’ boycotting each other’s products, disrupting trade that last year topped $660 billion.
Even before the talks began, Trump suggested Friday that the U.S. could lower its tariffs on China, saying in a Truth Social post that ” 80% Tariff seems right! Up to Scott.″
Sun Yun, director of the China program at the Stimson Center, noted it will be the first time He and Bessent have talked. She doubts the Geneva meeting will produce any substantive results.
“The best scenario is for the two sides to agree to de-escalate on the … tariffs at the same time,” she said, adding even a small reduction would send a positive signal. “It cannot just be words.”
Since returning to the White House in January, Trump has aggressively used tariffs as his favorite economic weapon. He has, for example, imposed a 10% tax on imports from almost every country in the world.
But the fight with China has been the most intense. His tariffs on China include a 20% charge meant to pressure Beijing into doing more to stop the flow of the synthetic opioid fentanyl into the United States. The remaining 125% involve a dispute that dates back to Trump’s first term and comes atop tariffs he levied on China back then, which means the total tariffs on some ******** goods can exceed 145%.
During Trump’s first term, the U.S. alleged that China uses unfair tactics to give itself an edge in advanced technologies such as quantum computing and driverless cars. These include forcing U.S. and other foreign companies to hand over trade secrets in exchange for access to the ******** market; using government money to subsidize domestic tech firms; and outright theft of sensitive technologies.
Those issues were never fully resolved. After nearly two years of negotiation, the United States and China reached a so-called Phase One agreement in January 2020. The U.S. agreed then not to go ahead with even higher tariffs on China, and Beijing agreed to buy more American products. The tough issues — such as China’s subsidies — were left for future negotiations.
But China didn’t come through with the promised purchases, partly because COVID-19 disrupted global commerce just after the Phase One truce was announced.
The fight over China’s tech policy now resumes.
Trump is also agitated by America’s massive trade deficit with China, which came to $263 billion last year.
In Switzerland Friday, Bessent and Greer also met with Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter.
Trump last month suspended plans to slap hefty 31% tariffs on Swiss goods — more than the 20% levies he plastered on exports from European Union. For now, he’s reduced those taxes to 10% but could raise them again.
The government in Bern is taking a cautious approach. But it has warned of the impact on crucial Swiss industries like watches, coffee capsules, cheese and chocolate.
“An increase in trade tensions is not in Switzerland’s interests. Countermeasures against U.S. tariff increases would entail costs for the Swiss economy, in particular by making imports from the USA more expensive,” the government said last week, adding that the executive branch “is therefore not planning to impose any countermeasures at the present time.”
The government said Swiss exports to the United States on Saturday were subject to an additional 10% tariff, and another 21% beginning Wednesday.
The United States is Switzerland’s second-biggest trading partner after the EU – the 27-member-country bloc that nearly surrounds the wealthy Alpine country of more than 9 million. U.S.-Swiss trade in goods and services has quadrupled over the last two decades, the government said.
The Swiss government said Switzerland abolished all industrial tariffs on Jan. 1 last year, meaning that 99% of all goods from the United States can be imported into Switzerland duty-free.

May 25 Will be a Huge Day for Marvel Rivals Fans
May 25 Will be a Huge Day for Marvel Rivals Fans
Marvel Rivals has gathered quite a massive community of dedicated players since its launch in December last year. Weekly content updates like balance patches, new skin drops, new modes, and more have contributed to the game’s ongoing success, with more on the way. Season 2 is almost halfway done, and competitive fans of the game have been hoping for an eSports tournament since the game’s inception.
The previous updates targeted casual players who play the game for fun, but the next one is for those who prefer a more competitive experience. May 25 is going to be a grand day for ambitious players who want to stand out from the casual crowd.
Marvel Rivals Ignite begins on May 25
Marvel Rivals Ignite is here | Image Credits: NetEase Games via Marvel Rivals YouTube
Marvel Rivals‘ own eSports tournament, Ignite, starts on May 25. The tournament will be held across five major regions: the Americas, EMEA, China, Asia, and Oceania. Judging from the regions, it will undoubtedly be a huge event and a first for the Marvel Rivals community. The only thing ******* than the regions is the prize pool.
The prize pool of Marvel Rivals Ignite offers up to $3 million for the winners of the global finals. which is more money than anyone in the community has ever seen with their own pair of eyes. The tournament is divided into four phases: the first phase kicks off this month and runs till July, the second phase takes place over July, the third phase starts from August till October, and the fourth phase, which marks the Grand Finals, begins in November and concludes the same month.
This thrilling news was shared on various social media platforms and on their own website as well. With the second and final character of Season 2, also arriving later this month, it is bound to be a great month for both competitive and casual players. Plus, the leaked heroes is evidence that NetEase plans to support the game for a long time.
Ultron makes his debut in Marvel Rivals on May 30
Ultron seems to have unofficially arrived in Marvel Rivals through global chat but the iconic robot officially makes his debut on May 30. Leaked abilities suggest that he’ll be a strategist which is quite unexpected and is a departure from the different versions of Ultron we’ve seen in other media. His characterization’s still the same but he’ll now primarily heal or possibly be a hybrid like Adam Warlock.

Will there be an aftershock? Check the prediction
Will there be an aftershock? Check the prediction
It is possible the Southeast will feel an earthquake aftershock in the coming days, according to a U.S. Geological Survey report.
A 4.1-magnitude earthquake that originated near Knoxville the morning of May 10 could be felt as far away as the Carolinas and Atlanta, Georgia.
To understand the scale of that quake, the universal magnitude scale shows earthquakes as minor as 2.5 can be felt in a community. Building damage usually starts at 5.5 magnitude, according to earthquake experts at Michigan Tech University.
Here’s how the U.S. Geological Survey aftershock predictions break down for this latest earthquake:
15% chance of a 3.0 and above aftershock within a day
23% chance of a 3.0 and above aftershock within a week
30% chance of a 3.0 and above aftershock within a month
41% chance of a 3.0 and above aftershock within a year
An earthquake jolted East Tennessee Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. This map shows the area of the earthquake on May 10, 2025.
The spot where the aftershock is likely to occur is limited and centered on the Greenback, where the May 10 earthquake occurred. Aftershocks are smaller than the original earthquake.
“As a general rule, aftershocks represent minor readjustments along the portion of a fault that slipped at the time of the mainshock. The frequency of these aftershocks decreases with time,” the U.S. Geological Survey explains.

Fans Figured Out the Real Life Weapon That Inspired the R-2 Amendment
Fans Figured Out the Real Life Weapon That Inspired the R-2 Amendment
Suit up, Helldivers, the bugs won’t know what hit them, and neither will the Automatons. With the reveal of the Masters of Ceremony Premium Warbond, Helldivers 2 players are buzzing louder than a Terminid hive. New weapons? Check. Fancy capes? Double check. A rifle sharp enough to make Super Earth proud? Oh yes.
Players aren’t just hyped, they’ve turned into full-time detectives. Within hours of the reveal, fans cracked the code behind one of the Warbond’s standout weapons. Turns out, the R-2 Amendment doesn’t just look good, it carries a striking resemblance to a real-world battle rifle.
Helldivers 2‘s players will be marching into battle with style on May 15
Launching on May 15, the Masters of Ceremony Warbond isn’t just another collection of gear; it is coming to celebrate the eradication of the Illuminate invaders. This Warbond leans hard into a ceremonial, noble aesthetic, offering Helldivers a way to fight with honor and style.
Players can expect regal capes, polished armor sets, and a series of elite weapons that look straight out of a military parade ground. The theme evokes images of heroes returning home in triumph, but make no mistake. These items are built for war.
The R-2 Amendment rifle stands out as one of the most eye-catching additions. It certainly caught the eyes of the detectives in the ranks, who wasted no time dissecting its design. Players quickly realized R-2 drew clear inspiration from MAS 49/56, a French semi-automatic rifle from the mid-20th century.
Known for its side-loading magazine, built-in bayonet, and durable frame, the MAS 49/56 served in conflicts like the Algerian War and the First Indochina War. It’s a robust, no-nonsense rifle that earned respect for its reliability and versatility, traits players hope are reflected in the in-game counterpart.

Even though Arrowhead Game Studios hasn’t officially confirmed the inspiration, the community has embraced the connection enthusiastically. Players are eagerly counting down the days to wield this stylish new weapon in the fight for Super Earth.

The Helldivers 2 community isn’t just excited about how the weapon looks; they’re eager to see how it performs on the battlefield. The official description boldly promises that the weapon will “carve through bugs like butter,” and well, expectations are sky-high.
A big part of the excitement comes from the bayonet itself. Fans have long wanted a viable melee option that doesn’t compromise on the firepower of the weapon but also feels powerful and satisfying at the same time, and the R-2 Amendment could finally answer that call.
Whether it’s lunging into a pack of bugs or finishing off a weakened Automaton or even clearing the Voteless swarms, players are hoping the bayonet and the weapon itslef offers smooth, reliable action that fits into a variety of combat styles.
As May 15 approaches closer and closer, the countdown is on. Players are preparing their loadouts, sharpening their virtual blades, and getting ready to show Super Earth’s enemies exactly what happens when ceremony meets carnage.

Southampton: Bottom club reach 12 points after draw with Manchester City
Southampton: Bottom club reach 12 points after draw with Manchester City
Southampton fans have had precious few moments to be happy about this season as they slumped to a pitiful relegation a full fortnight before Easter.
But their class of 2025 have at least avoided becoming an addition to a pub quiz question after moving past Derby County’s record Premier League low total of 11 points.
Southampton may have been up against it at the end of the 0-0 draw at home to Manchester City but held on to move to 12 points for the season.
Just generationally poor, instead of all-timers.
Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, no stranger to a relegation, was quiet for most of the game as Pep Guardiola’s side failed to move out of first gear to worry him.
But as the clock ticked towards added time he was called into action, tipping away a header from Ruben Dias and then beaten by Omar Marmoush’s dipping strike which bounced off the crossbar.
Saints marked the draw with a message to Derby on social media, saying “Sorry if we got your hopes up”.
And Ramsdale added: “Not one person outside our dressing room thought we could do anything today and rightly so. People thought we would get zero points for the rest of the season, it was down to us.
“Everyone knows it’s been a difficult season for us. The sun was shining, Man City threw everything at us. That one was for the fans.
“We’re not happy at all with how the season has gone but we are definitely happy with the fact we have managed to avoid that record.
“We are under no illusion it’s still not a great points tally, but it’s that one off our back.”

Picking the Perfect Vanguard Has Become So Confusing That Marvel Rivals Fans Have Started Including Mr Fantastic in the Roster
Picking the Perfect Vanguard Has Become So Confusing That Marvel Rivals Fans Have Started Including Mr Fantastic in the Roster
Every team-based shooter game requires a good team composition; Marvel Rivals is no exception. However, since there are a lot of characters to choose from, it is difficult to decide which character would fit in the best. That’s why it’s difficult to choose a Vanguard in the shooter.
There are good Vanguards like Emma Frost, Magneto, and more, who do their job right. Yet, Mister Fantastic has made it into the ranks of Vanguard despite being a Duelist. It’s almost like healers doing the duelist’s job, just like Sage does in Valorant. Looks like the same story is unfolding now.
Mister Fantastic sneaks into the list of Vanguard, showing how good a character he is
Truly fantastic. | Image Credit: NetEase Games
Reed Richards is a certified genius who is also quite powerful in comics. Using both his intellect and power, he even challenges Tony Stark. In the Marvel Rivals universe, he is flexing his powers on Vanguards like Emma Stone, Thing, and more. He is just too powerful to be stopped, I guess.
In a Reddit post made by Sm0k35z on r/marvelrivals, they shared helpful tips on picking Vanguards. Each Hero shines out during specific situations, such as damage tanking, anti-dive, etc. The fascinating thing about the list is that Mister Fantastic shows up in almost every category.
In the current meta, Emma Stone is dominating by being useful and stealing everyone’s hearts. It’s not enough to beat Mister Fantastic, as he makes for a very powerful Vanguard rather than a Duelist. Why? Because of his ability to turn into a Vanguard for a limited time after his elastic powers are charged up.
Be it dealing with dive characters, flyers, or pokes, Mister Fantastic can deal with them all. So, Mageneto, Hulk, and other buffed-up characters, step aside, as one guy can do your job. Jokes aside, he is very situational and requires a good player to do the Vanguard job. Duelist-only players will only focus on dealing damage, rather than tanking. So don’t keep your hopes up.
Apart from Mister Fantastic, Thor seems like a good all-around Hero as well. Finally! A Vanguard who likes to take his job seriously. Surely better than some green freak who likes to run around smashing.
The user also suggested players switch to Doctor Strange during the late game as it can turn the tide, if you play the character right. If it’s about contesting an objective, Venom and Captain America are great choices. As mentioned before, situational.
Why is team composition a vital thing in Marvel Rivals?
It is all about synergy when it comes to hero shooters or team-based games. Every character has the potential to buff a character or nerf them. Take it as a game of rock, paper, scissors, one is more powerful than the other. Make the wrong choice and you’ll pay.
Marvel Rivals uses the same concept, which makes it a dynamic and fun game. While characters are classified as one class, they can act like other classes. It’s all about playstyle. But again, it’s best if players take their roles seriously as it could be the defining factor between a win or a loss.
Some people make the mistake of doing things solo, which is the most common mistake for all team-based games. Not every character is a god; they too, have weaknesses. The faster players realise this, the better it will be for others.
Who do you main in Marvel Rivals? Do you find it annoying when players are not doing their roles justice? Let us know in the comments below.

After $1bn settlement, doctor’s ******* assault victims question Columbia University’s inaction
After $1bn settlement, doctor’s ******* assault victims question Columbia University’s inaction
It was a shocking scandal involving the betrayal of one of the most sacred bonds in medicine, as one of New York’s top doctors abused hundreds of women under his care.
Now, after a fresh settlement agreement last week from Columbia University and NewYork-Presbyterian hospital, the compensation for the crimes of Robert Hadden has approached almost a billion dollars and raised further questions as to how he was able to carry out his crimes for so long.
The latest $750m deal covered two decades of ******* assaults by the gynecologist for more than two decades at New York hospitals. His victims had already received more than $200m from his former employers, who were accused of knowing about his behavior and allowing him to continue practicing medicine.

“It’s a clear message that we’re going to hold institutions accountable,” Laurie Maldonado, who spent about 10 years as one of Hadden’s patients and was ********* assaulted by him, said of the settlement. “Don’t protect a serial predator; protect your patients.”
In 2023, Hadden was convicted and sentenced to 20 years in prison for luring patients to travel across state lines so that he could ********* abuse them.
From 1987 until 2012, Hadden ********* assaulted and abused female patients during appointments and deliveries at Columbia University Irving medical center and NewYork-Presbyterian hospital, according to federal prosecutors. His victims even included some of New York City’s most prominent women, including Evelyn Yang, wife of former presidential candidate and New York mayoral hopeful Andrew Yang.
Hadden conducted an emergency delivery for Eva Santos Veloz in 2008 and checked her without gloves, using significant force and almost his entire fist, she said.
“It was a really traumatic experience,” said Santos Veloz, who was then 18 years old and scared to disclose the ******* assault because of her immigration status.
Maldonado, who teaches and studies single-parent families and policy, said she saw Hadden from 2003 until 2012, during which time he engaged in grooming behavior by finding ways to get her to undress and asking inappropriate questions about her sex life.
“He really used his knowledge to make it seem like he was the only doctor for you,” said Maldonado, who had a miscarriage.
In 2011, two days before she gave birth to her son, Hadden did a dilation check during which he examined her cervix with enough force to make her cry out in pain.
“It’s supposed to be the happiest, joyful time of being a mother, and you feel like that moment was taken away from you,” Maldonado said. “I feel like the harm and the trauma is still in my body.”
In 2012, New York police arrested Hadden after receiving a call from a patient who said he licked her during an exam. Despite that allegation, a Columbia administrator allowed him to continue practicing medicine as long as he had a chaperone with him while examining patients and complied with university and hospital policies, ProPublica reported.
He continued to ********* assault patients for five weeks before Columbia suspended him, and he later retired. In 2013, the university informed Hadden’s patients that he had closed his practice but did not provide a reason, according to a letter in the ProPublica report.
In 2016, prosecutors agreed to a deal in which Hadden would plead guilty to a felony and misdemeanor, register as a sex offender and surrender his medical license but not serve time in prison.
After more women abused by Hadden came forward in 2020, federal prosecutors filed new charges, which resulted in the conviction and 20-year-prison sentence.
Columbia University did not apologize until ProPublica published its report in 2023, according to the news organization. Before the settlement this week, the hospitals agreed to pay $71m to 79 patients in 2021 and $165m to 147 patients in 2022. The new deal provides $750m to 576 patients.
“This has been 13 years in the making, and I’m grateful for all my clients who have come forward to hold not just Hadden accountable, but more importantly, his enablers at Columbia University and NewYork-Presbyterian hospital,” said Anthony T DiPietro, an attorney for the plaintiffs.
A Columbia spokesperson responded to an interview request with a statement that the university was “implementing a multi-pronged plan, including an external investigation, a survivors’ settlement fund” and new “patient safety policies and programs to address the abuses of Robert Hadden”.
“We deeply regret the pain that his patients suffered, and this settlement is another step forward in our ongoing work and commitment to repair harm and support survivors. We commend the survivors for their bravery in coming forward,” the statement continued.
A NewYork-Presbyterian spokesperson responded to the request by stating that Columbia would be “issuing all statements on this issue”.
Santos Veloz, who now has three children, called the most recent huge settlement “a big win”.
“No matter how much they wanted to cover it up, we were able to work together to hold [Columbia] accountable in some way,” said Santos Veloz, who hopes to become an immigration attorney.
Still, Santos Veloz said she is waiting to see if Columbia follows through with its plan to better protect patients.
“We could get all the money in the world, but if this continues to happen, it means nothing,” she said.
Meanwhile, DiPietro, the plaintiffs’ attorney, now representing hundreds of women in lawsuits against Dr Barry Brock, a gynecologist at Cedars-Sinai medical center in Los Angeles, who allegedly ********* abused patients, and against NewYork-Presbyterian, Weill Cornell medical center and Northwell Health, which employed Darius Paduch, a urologist sentenced to life in prison for ********* abusing patients, including minors.
“The Haddens of the world are not the problem; they are just a symptom,” DiPietro. “The problem is the toxic culture at these medical institutions that lie, cover up and expose more patients to known serial ******* predators.”
