  1. Anime Saga is out, and it's time to take our favorite anime heroes for a spin through the same dungeons over and over again. Of course, while going through dungeons is fun and all, it can get pretty grindy and difficult without the right Units, which is exactly why we wrote this guide. Find out which are the best units in the game in this Definitive Anime Saga Unit Tier List. Table of contentsAnime Saga Tier ListSS-Tier UnitsS-Tier UnitsA-Tier UnitsB-Tier UnitsC-Tier UnitsD-Tier UnitsAnime Saga Tier List Image via TierMaker / Remix by Destructoid While doing more damage is great, the thing that really sets apart Anime Saga Units is their efficiency. More specifically, the efficiency of quickly clearing a room of units. Since we really love clearing rooms as fast as possible, we also considered this a factor when it comes to placing units in their tiers. SS-Tier UnitsUnitInfo ZidThe most powerful unit in the game currently. His Aoe is through the roof, and he's good in almost any situation. If you get him, you're set until a new update drops. FrierinA well-rounded unit that does everything, including hit air units. Bring her along for whichever activity, and you'll never be disappointed. ChainsawAn absolute boss-melter. Not great for clearing, but put Chainsaw in front of a boss and watch it burn. RohanSuper quick attacks, and super powerful too. Amazing unit for clearing rooms and good for bosses too.S-Tier UnitsUnitInfo RemuOne of the best, and cutest, units for clearing rooms. Also great for dishing out damage to bosses. ZoruSo powerful, some of his moves hit twice. Really great for clearing strong units and bosses. DomaA better version of Okorun. Great for clearing rooms, but falls a bit short when it comes to damage output. InosReally powerful, but the cooldowns are a bit long. Still, Inos is a very powerful unit, despite this. SakeWe like Sake so much, we used him more than we should. His moves are really handy for dealing damage and clearing rooms. Unfortunately, we had to let him go when we got some Mythic units.A-Tier UnitsUnitInfo OkorunGreat for clearing rooms, but when compared to other Mythic units, Okorun falls a bit short. Still one of the best units if you want quick clears. MochiAnother really good crowd control unit with decent damage. Unfortunately, we replaced Mochi when we got some Mythical units. VogitaOut of all the units that can hit air targets, Vogita is the easiest to get. Not only this, but he is still a very powerful unit, especially duringthe early game. AgonyReally good for gathering enemies at one place, and then switching to a stronger unit to blast them all. Not very powerful for a Legendary unit.B-Tier UnitsUnitInfo NezuA lot of fun to play as. Her attacks hit far, and her scratching attacks can clear groups of enemies fast. SanjoSanjo is great for clearing rooms of regular units, but falls a bit short when it comes to overall damage. Good to have until you have better IchiganWidely considered as the best Rare unit. Ichigan has a few really powerful moves that rival even Epic units. Great for taking down bosses.C-Tier UnitsUnitInfo ItaduroKind of slow, but has a really great attack that can melt bosses. If you're playing in a group with friends who have a lot of fast units, put Itaduro on the side and wait for the boss fight. UsoapSomewhat decent attacks, but the basic attack can only target one unit. Really not that great, especially for an Epic unit. TanjigoA decent unit to use while you work on getting better units. One of the few units that becomes invincible during an attack.D-Tier UnitsUnitInfo RokuOut of all the starting units, Roku is probably the best, because of his attacks, but still, try to replace him for a better unit as soon as you can. NorotoThe two Rasengan attacks look cool, but Noroto's range is short, and it only hits one unit. Okay for clearing starting bosses, but should be replaced ASAP. LuffoLuffo is slow, and his attacks are just weak. We only tried him once and quickly replaced him. That's all there is to it. Have fun making your dream team of Anime Units. If you haven't already, check out our Anime Units codes for some free rerolls and other in-game currency. The post Definitive Anime Saga Unit Tier List appeared first on Destructoid. 9. DOOM Eternal's melee attack was somewhat controversial among players when the game first came out. It was a lot less effective than the melee attack in DOOM 2016, and in general it felt strange that such a strong character like the Doom Slayer would be delivering such ineffective blows. Thankfully, the id Software team seems to have been paying attention to this criticism because DOOM: The Dark Ageshas completely reworked melee into something that feels much more fitting for the series' protagonist. 11. We've known for months now that Valve is expanding its Linux-based SteamOS operating system beyond the Steam Deck to other handheld PCs, starting with some versions of the Asus ROG Ally. This week, Valve began making some changes to its Steam storefront to prepare for a future when the Deck isn't the only hardware running SteamOS. A new "SteamOS Compatible" label will begin rolling out "over the next few weeks" to denote "whether a game and all of its middleware is supported on SteamOS," including "game functionality, launcher functionality, and anti-cheat support." Games that don't meet this requirement will be marked as "SteamOS Unsupported." As with current games and the Steam Deck, this label doesn't mean these games won't run, but it does mean there may be some serious compatibility issues that keep the game from running as intended. Valve says that "over 18,000 titles on Steam [will] be marked SteamOS compatible out of the gate," and that game developers won't need to do anything extra to earn the label if their titles already support the Steam Deck. 14. Although they're still arduous and white-knuckle, there are no other survival games, whether The Long Dark, The Forest, or Project Zomboid, that make you work like Rust does. It's an epic journey. You begin with nothing - the first few hours, you're picking through the wilderness for sticks and rocks. But after enough time and sweat, you can scavenge, research, and craft even the most elaborate modern conveniences. After the transformative Jungle update from earlier this month, Facepunch has just made a less public but still-significant change to the survival shooter's stealth combat. 15. Doom The Dark Ages has finally arrived, and id Software is doing more to bring back that classic Doom vibe than fiddling with the freneticism that made its predecessor, Doom Eternal, unpalatable for many of the series' most fervent fans. Tucked away in the rip-tearing shooter's settings is a very special toggle that will give both player and Slayer some serious flashbacks. Echoing my sentiment in my Doom The Dark Ages review, the iconic FPS series is typically at its best when id lets its creativity flow, and the studio loves to hide a treat or two in its options tabs. Eternal's HUD skins, for example, were a zesty delight that added a pop of personality to your playthrough and were, for me at least, a crucial vibe setter. Keen to delve into Doom The Dark Ages' menus as soon as I got access, I wasn't disappointed by what I came face to pixelated face with. Read the rest of the story... 16. It's now looking like one of the worst-kept secrets in the tech world, but AMD has finally teased a glimpse of what looks like the new AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT GPU. The company says it plans to reveal "what's next in gaming" at the Computex tradeshow on May 21, along with an image that contains a render of a new graphics card next to the AMD Radeon RX 9000 Series logo. According to the latest Radeon RX 9060 XT specs rumors, the new GPU will come in both 8GB and 16GB configurations, with a top clock speed of 3.3GHz and 2,048 stream processors. As I found in my Radeon RX 9070 XT review, the new AMD RDNA 4 architecture can offer potent performance, making it the best graphics card in its league, so I'll be interested to see how this new, cheaper AMD GPU holds up. 22. Nvidia may have very quickly realized that most of its latest GPUs need to come with more VRAM as standard, as a new leak states that a 24GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card "will be released at the end of the year," which is much sooner than expected. The new GPU looks as though it will be called either the RTX 5080 Ti or RTX 5080 Super, and could quickly take over from the standard 16GB 5080, which was launched earlier this year. Largely thanks to the lack of high-end competition, my RTX 5080 review was largely favorable, gaining it a place on our best graphics card guide. However, I was also surprised to find that this expensive GPU couldn't run our Full RT Indiana Jones and the Great Circle benchmark at 4K, with the lack of VRAM turning the game into a stuttery mess. It's a situation that Nvidia could easily address by adding an extra 8GB to the frame buffer. Read the rest of the story... 25. There has been plenty of speculation about whether MapleStory N would even see the light of day, but it is finally going to be available, and fans will be able to enjoy the spin-off pretty soon. Some sources even believed that the project might have been cancelled, but we now have an official launch date. However, the upcoming NFT-based title won't be available in many major nations of the world. How does MapleStory N work? The core formula of MapleStory N will be pretty similar to the original MapleStory game. It will be a side-scrolling MMORPG involving a robust player trading system. The game will use its AvalancheL1 facility to establish and complete the trades. Hence, there won't be an in-game shop at all. Players will have to trade with one another directly if they're looking to exchange assets. To ensure the general safety of the transactions, the game will use built-in anti-cheat software that uses AvaCloud's security system. This is meant to ensure that players can play and trade without the risks of financial fraud. You can expect to enjoy the joys of RPG and grind for valuable rewards. The ownership of NFTs will be entirely determined by the player-based community, which will also drive the overall demand and supply. Rewards can be earned by completing quests, defeating enemies, and more. Can you pre-download MapleStory N? As of 5am UTC, the game is available for pre-download in the available regions. To download, you'll have to go to the official website. You'll also require a MapleStory Universe web wallet. This wallet will be required for both pre-downloading and playing the game. Is MapleStory N available in the US? MapleStory N isn't going to be available in the US. It's also unavailable in major Asian markets like Japan and Korea, along with most of Europe. In fact, the restriction list has 50 countries, based on an earlier post related to the game's official terms and conditions. However, accessibility could increase in the future if the developers manage to launch in more nations. As of writing, there's no indication that the game will be available in the US at the time of launch. The use of VPNs to bypass geo-restrictions is highly inadvisable, and it can result in financial losses in the worst-case scenario. MapleStory N release date The new game connected to the MapleStory Universe is launching worldwide on May 15, launching exclusively on PC for the time being, but there are plans for a mobile client to appear in the future.
