  1. Star Wars Battlefront 2 allows you to test your juking capabilities against your friend by starting a 1v1 duel, although the process can be a tad tricky. If you're playing online, there's no official way to play with your friend in a duel. However, this guide will provide you with all the info you need. First, let's check out how to duel together offline (this method tests you against the AI). How to 1v1 offline in Battlefront 2 Compared to the online mode, it's easier to play together in the offline mode. Open the Play tab and select Single Player.Select Instant Action.Choose Supremacy as the Game Mode. Finalize your map, AI difficulty level, and the Round length.Decide the game modifiers from the Advanced Settings (Enemy AI count to 1, Friendly AI count to 0, and Enemy Hero Count to 4. Everything else after Enemy Hero count should be set to 0).Once the game loads, seize two command posts for yourself.Allow the bot to capture two command posts, and this will make the match go on for as long as you want.Eliminate the bot after it has captured the posts, and you'll face a continuous barrage of enemies to take down. Screenshot via Destructoid How to 1v1 with friends online in Battlefront 2 The online matchmaking allows you to duel with both strangers and your friends. Go to your EA Account tab from options and choose a region that has fewer players.Go to Play, Multiplayer, and then pick Hero Showdown.Communicate well with your friend by pressing the "Search" button at the same time. Before starting the round, make sure to check if the map name is the same for you and your friend. If the map names aren't the same, cancel the search. After trying a few times, you should be able to matchmake with your friend and duel together. Sadly, there's no easy way to matchmake with your friend in Battlefront 2, which would have made our lives easier. The best way to increase the odds in your favor is by selecting the region (for you and your friend) that has empty lobbies. The post How to 1v1 in Battlefront 2 appeared first on Destructoid. 2. Dune Awakening is releasing on June 10 worldwide (early access begins on June 5), but there are some major limitations when it comes to accessibility. There has already been a month of delay from the original launch date, and it will be released on PC. If you want to enjoy the MMO, the only option is to have a PC that meets the hardware specifications. However, there's at least some good news for console gamers if the developers are to be believed. Will Dune Awakening be on console Creative Director Joel Bylos was asked in an interview in 2024 about Dune Awakening's possible console launch. He has confirmed that the MMO will eventually make its way over to the consoles following the PC launch. An exact date hasn't been confirmed or hinted at by Funcom, which makes it slightly tricky for us to report. However, there are no doubts about a console launch unless there's a radical shift in plans from the developers. Any such changes will be updated in this article so you can stay on top of the latest information. As of now, it's confirmed that the upcoming Dune MMO will be making its way to consoles. Dune Awakening Xbox and PlayStation release date (predicted) The only information confirmed by developers so far is a potential console version sometime in the future. A possible window is the last quarter of 2026, which is based on a Q&A attended by the developers. I would put my money on a day in either November or December of next year, but one thing is for sure: there's no confirmed date as of writing. [Hidden Content] Conan Exiles, which is arguably one of Funcom's biggest launches to date, was released on PC and console together. However, the next-gen version came out in 2021 (understandable given the release date of current-gen consoles). In the case of Dune Awakening, Funcom definitely has a different strategy. As confirmed in the Reddit post above, there's not much to go on right now. If you're someone who only games on consoles, the best option is to wait for a port in the future. 7. The release of Elden Ring Nightreign has brought back one underused souls mechanics that you should be exploiting as often as possible, if you are able to. The latest installment in the franchise offers a different approach to the soulslike experience. Instead of following linear progression, players set off alone or in groups of three to survive three in-game day cycles, defeating bosses at the end of each day, until they beat the final boss. As such, players tend to rely heavily on matchmaking to find other players, though the most recent Elden Ring Nightreign update has improved solo play. View the full article
  8. Another day, another Hollow Knight: Silksong SteamDB update that's whipped information-starved Hollow Knight fans into a frenzy. Could this one finally be the one? Overnight, Hollow Knight: Silksong was quietly updated on Steam, with SteamDB noting that one package received its first update in over a year (thanks, Eurogamer). It immediately sent the rumor mill into overdrive, with players speculating that something's afoot. Will we finally see more at Summer Game Fest? Could it be part of the Xbox Showcase? Or could we even get a Nintendo Switch 2 shadow drop…?! Hollow Knight: Silksong received updates to its packages tonight on SteamDB (one apparently receiving an update for the first time in 15 months) [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] — Wario64 (@Wario64) June 3, 2025 Of course, fans immediately began scouring the updates for clues. And while some have been hurt before by a flurry of nothingburger, this update is particularly exciting because several fans believe we have proof Hollow Knight: Silksong — or at least some version of it — has "been uploaded to the Steam servers." Just to make it clear... THE GAME FILES HAVE BEEN UPLOADED byu/TomNook5085 inSilksong .reddit-embed-wrapper iframe { margin-left: 0 !important; } "[Is this R]eal?" asked one fan hopefully. "Real," the OP replied. Team Cherry has always done things on its own timescales, and is notoriously tight-lipped, leaving us speculating over the tiniest, and sometimes silliest, details. Now, however, it really feels like there's something coming… here's hoping we find out what it is sooner rather than later. Team Cherry’s sequel is one of the most anticipated games in the world right now, topping the Steam wishlist charts for years. Silksong made a brief appearance at Nintendo’s Switch 2 Direct in April, and soon after Team Cherry nailed down the 2025 release window, much to the relief of its very patient fans. And now, given we know it will be playable for those who can be at Australia’s national museum of screen culture, ACMI, from September 18, some are speculating that we could be looking at a launch before then… although nothing's confirmed as yet, of course. IGN recently exclusively shared a Silksong sprite sheet and… well, the internet internet-ed. 9. Bandai Namco has released a new update, Version 2.02, for the fighting game Tekken 8, and several balancing adjustments are being delivered within a new policy. Tekken 8 first hit shelves in January 2024, and the entry was the first of its kind to debut on home consoles instead of arcades. Featuring The Dark Awakens story mode, the narrative is set six months after Tekken 7’s 2015 story, focusing on protagonist Jin Kazama and antagonist Kazuya Mishima’s final showdown. 10. Building a great gaming PC isn't just about getting the best spec possible; it's also about showing off your wares, and there's no better way to do that than with a new aquarium-style PC case that provides a wraparound view of your colored RGB lights and smart-looking components. Usually, a decent goldfish bowl case will set you back a fair bit of money, but right now you can save a massive 19% on the price of one of our favorite models, the NZXT H6 Flow RGB, bringing down the price to just $109.99, thanks to this limited-time deal. We gave this superb case a score of 9/10 in our NZXT H6 Flow RGB review, landing it a solid place on our best PC case buying guide. I've also recently used this NZXT case personally to build a PC for a friend, and it's really well-built and cleverly designed. Available in ****** and white, the Flow 6 RGB features not only a tempered glass side panel but also a glass front panel, providing an uninterrupted, wrap-around view of your whole system. 12. It's at the top of the Steam wishlist chart. It's been in the works for years. Everyone wants to know when it's coming. But so far, all we know for certain is that Hollow Knight Silksong will arrive at some point in 2025. The sequel to Team Cherry's beloved 2017 Metroidvania and 2D soulslike, when it comes to anticipation, Silksong is up there with GTA 6 and the almost mythical Half-Life 3. However, it's possible - maybe, potentially - that after all this time, the game is shadow dropped. We don't get a launch date. Team Cherry just says 'yep, it's out now.' That could be sheer optimism, but a new Hollow Knight Silksong Steam update, alongside some other details, suggests it could be in the stars. Read the rest of the story... 13. After plenty of criticism from players, Fromsoftware is finally promising to add an official Elden Ring Nightreign duos mode to the game. As it stands, you can only play Nightreign solo or in a trio, but since before launch the community has been clamoring for a way to play in a team of two. That's not all the Dark Souls and Bloodborne studio is working on, though, as the team reaffirms it has Nightreign DLC planned for later this year, alongside enhancements to existing Nightlord bosses. 15. Stellar Blade director and producer Kim Hyung Tae reportedly "fully supports" mods and is looking forward to trying them out. According to several sources, Kim was reportedly asked about his stance on modding at a recent press conference in Yeouido, South Korea. “First of all, I fully support the phenomenon of players using mods. In fact, I myself also want to try out some of the more exciting mods," he replied. "I look forward to seeing many players create their own mods and engaging in healthy competition with them to see whose mods are more attractive. I also hope that more players can get involved in mod creation." Which is just as well, really, as the game isn't even out on PC yet, and already there are dozens of mods listed on Nexus for the PC demo, covering everything from new skins to reshaders and VR to nail polish. There are also several more hidden carefully from public display and categorized as "adult." Let's leave it at that, shall we? IGN's Stellar Blade review returned a 7/10. We said: "Stellar Blade is great in all of the most important ways for an action game, but dull characters, a lackluster story, and several frustrating elements of its RPG mechanics prevent it from soaring along with the best of the genre." The PC version of Stellar Blade launches via Steam on June 11 along with a raft of PC-specific features, including AI upscaling via Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, an unlocked framerate, Japanese and ******** voiceover, ultrawide display support, higher resolution environment textures, and DualSense support for haptic feedback and trigger effects. It was originally region locked in 100+ countries, but is now available to pre-order on PC in "over 250 regions." And no, there is no Stellar Blade multiplayer mod… but there are signs of multiplayer in the game files.
