Mushrooms and Pillows are two necessary components in ARC Raiders that are required to complete Scrappy's final upgrade. Both these items are available at different locations on the map, but roaming around aimlessly is going to make your life difficult. You'll find guaranteed spots for both Pillows and Mushrooms, and this guide will provide you with all the necessary information. Table of contentsHow to get Mushrooms in ARC RaidersHow to find Comfortable Pillows in ARC RaidersHow to use Pillows and Mushrooms to upgrade ARC RaidersHow to get Mushrooms in ARC Raiders Mushrooms are pretty elusive items that are easy to miss. Unlike Lemons, Mushrooms typically spawn on the surface of other items. I have also found them on tree trunks in specific locations. You can find them in the Dam Battlegrounds map. Remix by Destructoid via Embark Head into the Hydroponic Dome complex, and you should find some in the stagnant water. Alternatively, the mushroom spawn can happen right outside the Dome. They will always alter the two positions in their spawn. I have also marked two additional locations. You'll find fallen tree trunks at those locations, and the Mushrooms will spawn on them. These are the best spots to find the required amount of Mushrooms. How to find Comfortable Pillows in ARC Raiders While it's easier to find Pillows in ARC Raiders, the process can be grindy. You'll have to scout the residential areas and buildings in different locations. I found success in Buried City, but you can find it from any house building on any map. You just have to be lucky. How to use Pillows and Mushrooms to upgrade ARC Raiders You'll need 12 Mushrooms and three Very Comfortable Pillows to get the final upgrade for Scrappy. However, you'll also need Apricots (also required for an earlier upgrade for Scrappy). Once you have 12 Apricots and the rest of the resources, you can then use them to train and upgrade Scrappy to level five. Recent changes in the Genshin Impact beta have revealed that Version 6.2 will feature Jahoda, Gaming, and Chevreuse on the Event Banners, but players will also be able to choose a free copy of Sucrose, Razor, or Fischl. Though Genshin Impact won't introduce a map expansion in Version 6.2, the upcoming patch will still feature a fair bit of content for players to dive into: the next chapter of the Song of the Welkin Moon, Durin's Story Quest, the Witch's Coursework, and its Flagship Event. While Arc Raiders is currently the extraction shooter in the spotlight, it may not stay there for very long. The godfather of the genre, Escape From Tarkov, has been in early access for close to a decade now, but in a couple of weeks' time, it will finally fully release - and that includes being available on Steam for the first time. Ahead of that day, Battlestate Games' COO Nikita Buyanov has announced that EFT has achieved "the result we've all been waiting for" - the game's 1.0 version has gone gold. Olives and Prickly Pears are two essential nature items in ARC Raiders that have multiple uses, which also include a vital Scrappy upgrade. Scrappy, your rooster companion, helps you find more loot on your runs, and upgrading him will be immensely helpful. The third upgrade for Scrappy requires you to find six Olives and six Prickly Pears. Table of contentsHow to find Olives in ARC RaidersHow to find Prickly Pears in ARC RaidersHow to use the Prickly Pears and Olives in ARC RaidersHow to find Olives in ARC Raiders To get Olives easily, you'll want to head to the Blue Gate location. Go south from Checkpoint to follow the marked location on the screenshot below. This location is, after all, named Olive Grove, and you'll always find Olive trees here. You also don't need to rely on the Lush Bloom event to find the trees. Remix by Destructoid via Embark You'll usually find Olives below the trees at the Olive Grove. Alternatively, kick the trees, and a few Olives will fall. While the extraction point is pretty close, you should still be very careful, as I have found plenty of enemies roaming at this spot. How to find Prickly Pears in ARC Raiders Remix by Destructoid via Embark The best location to find Pricky Pears is towards the north of the Dam Battlegrounds map. You'll find plenty of cactuses at the marked location near the Pattern House. Prickly Pears spawn on the cactuses, and you should be able to find a fair few by running around. Unlike Olive Grove, not much seems to happen at this location, which makes it perfect for you to roam around and get the necessary quantity of Prickly Pears. How to use the Prickly Pears and Olives in ARC Raiders The primary use for the two resources will be to get the Level 4 upgrade for Scrappy. The upgrade requires you to use six Prickly Pears, six Olives, and one Cat Bed. Incidentally, Prickly Pear is also required to craft Fruit Mix, where you combine it with one Lemon and one Apricot. You can also consume it to regain +20 stamina temporarily The post How to find and use Prickly Pears and Olives in ARC Raiders appeared first on Destructoid. View the full article

Fortnite's Sidekicks, the adorable little pets that accompany you on your Fortnite adventures, have caused quite a stir with Fortnite fans — and not necessarily for all the right reasons. As described by Epic Games, Sidekicks are new pals in Fortnite that join your adventures in Battle Royale, Fortnite Save the World, Fortnite Festival (your Sidekick will stay backstage), LEGO Fortnite, and developer-made experiences (Sidekicks can only tag along with you if the Island Developer has enabled Sidekicks in their island). They let you "enjoy their company as they react to the world around you." You can design them yourself, including their personality and physical traits, all of which will be locked in as "permanent" details, but you'll be able to change their name and accessories — think hats, hoodies, that kind of thing — at any time. And no, they do not offer a gameplay advantage of any kind, nor can be hurt or killed in combat. (Phew!) The first is Peels, the super sweet pup made of bananas, who'll unlock with tomorrow's (November 1) Battle Pass. More, including Bonesy, Spike, and Lil' Raptor, are set to drop on November 7, with something for cat lovers coming "not long after." Bonesy will be granted to players who own the Bonesy Back Bling on the same date. So far, so cute, right? The bit that's really raising eyebrows, however, is the cost. As shared on the Fortnite subreddit, prices will differ, with Lil' Raptor and Spike costing 1,200 V-Bucks, and Flopsticks and Cuddle Team Jr. a little more expensive at 1,500. As some are pointing out, this is a pretty steep price for the new feature, with the Fishstick-themed Sidekick, Flopstick, costing more than the original 1,200 skin. Bro… The Sidekick costs more than the original skin. [Hidden Content] — Fortnite Leaks | Pluto V2 (@FortnitePV2) October 31, 2025 It gets even worse, though. Epic has cofirmed you can customize the appearance of your Sidekick one time and it's permanent (you can unlock clothes for them, though and can change those whenever you want). This means that if you want to change your ****'s colors after making that initial, permanent one-time change, you have to buy the same **** again. "You can customize the Appearance of your Sidekick one time after obtaining it," Epic said. "You can purchase a Sidekick multiple times and give them different Appearances; however, each Sidekick customization you own in your Locker must be unique. Duplicate Appearances are not allowed." "The fact they locked customization behind needing to buy the same **** multiple times is probably the greediest thing Epig [sic] has ever done. Which honestly is a huge accomplishment for this company," said one unhappy player. Wait, so they cost more than skins do AND you have to buy them AGAIN if you want to change their color after buying? What kind of insane pricing is this??? byu/FlimsyVariation8455 inFortNiteBR .reddit-embed-wrapper iframe { margin-left: 0 !important; } "[This is] the death of reasonable microtransactions in Fortnite," replied another. "Remember when they released Wraps, and unlike most games where you needed to unlock skins for each gun individually, wraps could be used on anything? Now we're getting customization locked on bought items. No reason for this, except greed." "Either make them this price and have all styles selectable or lock the styles and put them at 500-600," suggested someone else. "If you do both nobody is gonna bother." Don't forget that Homer, Marge and co. are coming to Fortnite on November 1, 2025, with a mini-season that brings Springfield to the battle royale. Not much is known about it, other than the villainous alien duo, Kang and Kodos, will be wreaking havoc on the Fortnite map once Fortnitemares 2025 comes to an end, but here's everything we know so far, including including start times in your local area, current teasers, and what to expect.
