  3. You remember the ending of 2011's first-person bullethoser Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, right? Everyone does! A big man ****** another big man with a **** but then - then! - a third big man ****** that first big man with a rope. It's dramatic stuff. Well, a data-diving enthusiast of the CoDwars has discovered a cut ending from the original trilogy's closing chapter. It's a more downbeat and mysterious finale, featuring a shadowy figure whose identity is never revealed. Also, Captain Price, the hero of the franchise and aforementioned big man number three, drops his cigar with possibly mortal implications. Read more View the full article
  4. A Garage location to store your vehicles in Grand Theft Auto Online can be a great way to protect the cars you've collected. Three tiers of Garages can be bought, each ranging from costs of $25,000 to an expensive $150,000. The most affordable Garage may not offer more space for cars than a larger one, but what you buy depends on what you need and what's available. View the full article

  7. Grand Theft Auto 6 is essentially locked-in for a fall 2025 release date, and the CEO of the game's publisher Take-Two has said it's "highly confident" it can make that date. Last week, Take-Two graced us with the information that GTA 6 will finally be releasing sometime in fall 2025, a wait of more than a year, but a wait that should feel easier now that we have a rough release window. Now, in an interview with CNBC, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick was asked about the upcoming open-world game's release, including how the publisher is feeling about it. Zelnick was asked about how a release date is generally determined internally, where he noted how you can look at the "number of bugs in a title" to figure out how far along the game is. "For example every one of us will make sure we have as few bugs in a title as possible before we launch. "However in the case of an extraordinary title, for which there are extraordinary expectations, it's not really about bugs. It's about creating an experience that no one has seen before, and Rockstar Games seeks perfection. Perfection is hard to measure." Now, for one, I'm not exactly sure that Rockstar can make an experience no one has seen before, considering GTA 6 is a sequel so how different can it really be? But also, that first trailer clearly shows how Rockstar is tapping into the wildness that is simply the state of Florida, something that could never truly be replicated simply because of how much unbelievable nonsense happens there on a day to day basis. 8. The Shield Generator Pack is a go-to survivability Stratagem for almost any mission in Helldivers 2. It’s easy to use and allows you to tank a great amount of damage in heated encounters. But there aren’t many alternatives to the Shield Pack, apart from Stratagems like the Ballistic Shield or Jump Pack, which are way more situational. “We need things that are going to directly help us otherwise all the loadouts I see will keep including the shield pack,” a Helldivers 2 fan wrote in a Reddit thread on May 19, alongside a few ideas they would love to see in the game. 9. If you've been following along with the big tiff rappers Kendrick Lamar and Drake have been playing out via some pretty spicy diss tracks since things came to a bit of a head back in March, you'll be glad to know that you can now make the two settle their differences via a good old-fashioned brawl. Yup, a Mortal Kombat 1 modder has swapped out some of its fighters for the pair of feuding dudes. I'm not gonna even try and get you up to speed on the beef if you're not already, though the wikipedia entry about it is set out in a similar manner to the way the site does pages about actual wars between countries, and it should hopefully provide you with a decent rundown of proceedings, albeit one you wouldn't cite in an essay. Basically, some things have been said in songs that've made the opposing side go 'nuh-uh, I don't agree with that', and as of right now, it seems like most people feel Kendrick's won. If you don't think things are quite over yet and fancy settling them for youself, modder NegativeZoneNerd's 'Def Jam MK1 Pack 1 - Kendrick VS Drake' (thanks, Kotaku) might help with that. As you can see below, it helpfully swaps in models of the pair for the default skins of Kung Lao or Reiko (in the case of Kendrick) and Johnny Cage (in Drake's case). Read more View the full article

  13. As weird as it is to write, Sony has said it's working very closely with Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto on the upcoming film adaptation. Ever since it was announced, it's felt strange that Sony is the one to help Nintendo make its live-action adaptation of The Legend of Zelda. But, it is, and for Sony Motion Pictures Group chair Tom Rothman, who spoke to Deadline in a recent interview with the outlet, "The Legend of Zelda is going to be huge for us. Massive." Rothman also spoke of how these days, "if you want a star, you’ve got to have great material," and that in turn brings you a great filmmaker, so you want something fresh and original to get an "exciting filmmaker." But, he also stressed that "big IP movies are going to stay big," seemingly trying to make it clear that IP is king at the box office over just having good material. "The Legend of Zelda is going to be huge for us," he went on to say. "Massive." Rothman also explained that "the movie is being developed and made in the closest possible collaboration with Shigeru Miyamoto. He’s a true genius in that world, and it’s really his strong vision that is motivating it. He created it and understands it thoroughly. You only [need] to look at the results of Super Mario Brothers to see." He did also go on to note how the "larger point" he's making is that "a healthy slate going forward is not going to be one side of the divide or the other. It’s going to have a balance of big IP solid sequels." Following that he listed off sequels for films like Across the Spider-Verse, a new Tom Holland Spider-Man, more Karate **** films, and the third and last Venom, so you can get the feeling how important those big names are for Sony. This led to him having panic attacks during games, which encouraged him to delete social media, the player revealed on May 20 on X. View the full article

  18. Pokemon fans are facing a bit of a dilemma right now. With the end of Nintendo 3DS online features and Nintendo's urging of players to transfer their catches off the platform, a very specific and special kind of pokemon are set to lose their quirks when they make the jump over to Pokemon Home. These pokemon are totem variants! These Sun and Moon exclusive creatures are notable for two main reasons: they're larger than usual and come with enhanced stats. These were a key feature in the Sun and Moon generation of Pokemon and made sense as part of its stories. There were twelve in total that you could grab, and they made for interesting, cool collectables for Pokemon players. However, when you try to transfer these totem pokemon off the 3DS via the Pokemon Bank, and onto Pokemon Home (a modern and current pokemon storage app that's being pushed by Nintendo right now), these totem pokemon lose their increased size and stats, leaving them as regular versions rather than special variants. 19. G2 Esports had a valiant run at Mid-Season Invitational 2024. After sweeping PSG Talon and Top Esports, they were defeated by T1 and finished fourth. But, despite not reaching the podium, one of their players finished the event in third place in terms of KDA. 21. It’s not too long now until Wuthering Waves becomes available for the 30+ million pre-registrants to ***** into, but the Wuthering Waves release times can be a tad confusing, depending on where you live. Fortunately, while waiting for developer, Kuro Game, to launch the latest gacha RPG to rival Genshin Impact, one content creator has detailed the exact time players can expect to access the game, including when you can pre-load it. Wuthering Waves features characters known as Resonators, who - as is usually the case in these games - are trying to tirelessly save their home from the looming threat of danger and destruction. Combat looks to be pretty satisfying, and I don’t know about you, but I’m keen to see what some of these monstrous bosses look like on launch… Either way, here’s the Wuthering Waves release times for every region, so you know exactly when you can expect to start playing the RPG. While the release date for Wuthering Waves is listed as 22 May on the game’s official X account (formerly Twitter), most players can expect to actually be able to play the game from 23 May. 22. After Fallout 4's next-gen update forced its creators to abandon their planned release date of April 23, Fallout: London has been left in what's felt like a bit of a purgatory. Behind the scenes, however, the modders have been working very hard to get it ready to release in a form that'll work with these latest changes to Fallout 4. Thankfully, it sounds like Bethesda's latest tweaks won't cause too much of a hold-up. If you're out of the loop, Fallout: London's a full conversion mod for Fallout 4 that's set to let us explore a post-apocalytic version of the English capital, complete with fresh factions and quests. We've been getting regular updates from the team behind it over the past couple of years, and now things are slotting in place to finally let us take to the streets of London, whenever those streets are deemed 100% ready. Speaking to TheGamer on the same day the second part to Fallout 4's next-gen update dropped, Fallout: London project lead, Dean 'Prilladog' Carter seemed to outline that he didn't think it'd pose too much of a hurdle for the mod - at least in comparision to the much heftier first part of the update.
