FF14 patch 7.4 is kicking off a new era in many ways, from the start of a fresh story arc to the lifting of class-based fashion restrictions after more than a decade. Dawntrail's greatest strength (aside from its jamming tunes) has been its combat design, and the recent Pilgrim's Traverse deep dungeon was a great example of that. Now, lead battle designer Masaki 'Mr Ozma' Nakagawa has teased that he's in the process of creating something "truly new" that we'll get to play at some point during the patch 7.5x rollout. New release Resonance Solstice looks to be off to a patchy start despite having one of the most loaded collections of genre tags we've seen in a free Steam release in quite some time. Launched at the tail end of October, right after three of the best gacha games began their battle for supremacy, user reviews would suggest it's not entirely the fault of poor release planning, but issues like "too many different types of currency." We've played enough gacha games to know the pain of juggling too many tokens, but there's perhaps more to this train game struggling to leave the platform than simple coins cluttering a window. Grand Theft Auto is almost synonymous with Dan Houser, yet the Rockstar Games co-founder says he'd be more sad to see Red Dead Redemption 3 happen without him. Alongside his brother Sam, Houser was long considered the driving creative force behind the studio's biggest hits, yet he chose to step away from the company in 2020 after the launch of RDR 2. Talking to podcaster Lex Fridman, Houser reflects on watching GTA 6 come to fruition from a distance, the protagonist he originally wanted to kill, and why his best crime games are so deeply rooted in Americana. The Straight Record quest in ARC Raiders makes you roam around Dam Battlegrounds in search of three different switches. While the format of the Straight Record quest is simple, the exact locations can be slightly confusing. This guide will help you find them all quite easily and complete the quest to earn the rewards. Table of contentsARC Raiders Straight Record quest walkthroughOld EMP Device locationPower Switch locationsARC Raiders Straight Record quest walkthrough The Straight Record quest can be broken down into two major parts. Locate the old EMP DeviceDisable three Power SwitchesOld EMP Device location The EMP device is located in the northern part of the Dam Battlegrounds map. The device is located near the Hydroponic Dome complex. Once you find the device, interact with it, and the quest will automatically update. Your next task is to disable the power switches spread all over the map. The region near the Dome can have plenty of ARC enemies, so be on your toes. I will recommend going in with a free loadout to reduce the risk. This location also has vital resources like Mushrooms, which are required for upgrading Scrappy. Screenshot and remix by Destructoid Power Switch locations The first switch is located on a hill to the left of the EMP device. I have marked the location of all three switches on the screenshot above (marked as 1, 2, and 3) to help you find them easily. Get close to the switch to interact with it. To find the second switch, go back to the EMP device and go left. You'll find a generator. Get on top of it, and jump to get on the second floor of a broken building. Move forward, jump again, and you'll find the second switch. Drop down, and keep moving forward. You'll come across a pole and a wire. Follow the wire, and it will lead you to the third switch. Turn it off, and return to the EMP device to finish the Straight Record quest. The location has drone ARCs that you should first destroy; otherwise, you could end up dead while trying to complete the quest. While Dungeons and Dragons often busies itself with its namesakes, there's a third D that warrants fear from the tabletop. Diseases are one of the most insidious ways to die among adventurers, be it from the stench of undeath or a deadly poison from creatures yet uncharted. Magic: the Gathering contains plenty of unblockable creatures. Typically printed in blue, cards like Invisible Stalker and Phantom Warrior have been nuisances for years, as it's very difficult to stop their attacks from slipping through. The upcoming Avatar: the Last Airbender expansion is printing a new unblockable card, but rather than being a creature, it's a land. Secret Tunnel has no ability to make itself combat ready. In what is due to be a rather large departure for the Arknights franchise, which started life as a 2D, chibi-style tactics title, and one of the best gacha games, Arknights Endfield, sees it become a flashy action game akin to the best anime games like Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves, and Duet Night Abyss - if the latter manages to recover from its launch day quirks, anyway. And presumably in an effort to avoid just that with this risky reimagining, Gryphline is hosting a second Arknights Endfield beta that's right around the corner. The What We Left Behind quest in ARC Raiders takes you a fair bit of time to access, but it's pretty easy to complete as long as you know what to do. The quest has multiple tasks spread across different maps, so you'll need to have access to all of them. The gist is to find rare loot in all the marked locations, and this guide will help you with the correct locations. ARC Raiders What We Left Behind quest walkthrough The What We Left Behind quest requires you to look for rare loot in the following locations: South Swamp OutpostRaider CampBilguun's HideoutSouth Swamp Outpost Screenshot and Remix by Destructoid Our first location is on the Dam Battlegrounds map in the swamp area towards the south of the map. I have marked the location for your convenience. This location has plenty of ARC enemies, so you'll need to take care of them before jumping in to get your loot. Raider Camp Screenshot and Remix by Destructoid The second task involves finding two containers in the Raider Camp section of the map. Travel to the Buried City map first, and then look for the Parking Garage in the New District. The spot can be found north of the Space Travel building, and take the zipline to go down. Loot any two containers to retrieve the items you find in them. Like the previous location, there will be plenty of enemies waiting for you (including possible human opponents). Bilguun's Hideout Screenshot and Remix by Destructoid Our final location is situated right next to the Container Storage area in Spaceport. You'll have to loot any high-tier item to complete the task. However, this part of the quest was bugged for me. The high-tier loot failed to register when I added the item to the inventory. If the same happens to you, the only option is to extract and revisit the area. Attempting it once again fixed the quest and completed it. Here are all the rewards that you'll obtain, aside from coins and XP.
