  1. Those undead just keep on coming back from the grave as Microsoft screen a new trailer for State Of Decay 3, your latest helping of sorrowful yet bloodthirsty zombie-bopping survivalism. I reviewed State Of Decay the first and thought it was a cool scrappy underdog next to larger zombie-botherers such as Left 4 ***** or DayZ. State Of Decay 2, on the other hand, I found to be disappointing - the same game with more money behind it in a way that seemed to magnify its faults. The threequel? I have tempered expectations, but I do want it to be good. Read more View the full article

  3. Image: Bethesda Softworks Bethesda’s sci-fi universe is about to get *******. Bethesda has finally unveiled Shattered Space, the first major expansion for Starfield, which comes nearly a year after the open-world RPG debuted. Based on the first trailer, it has a much darker tone than the main Starfield campaign. No release date was revealed, but it’s coming sometime in 2024. Here’s the official premise: A mysterious power stirs in the city of Dazra on House Va’ruun’s hidden homeworld. Investigate a frightening cosmic threat, explore a new planet, and find unique weapons, spacesuits, and gear in this all-new adventure. Additionally, Bethesda announced a new update was coming to the game today, with new gear and bounties. Starfield was particularly notable as a... Continue reading… View the full article
  4. Image: Bethesda Softworks The Fallout games have seen a big boost in popularity since the live-action TV series, and Fallout 76 is primed to take advantage of that with its next major expansion. It’s called Skyline Valley, and for the first time, it will actually expand the game’s map, introducing a new Shenandoah region in the south. Bethesda says that players will “investigate the cause of an electrical storm circling overhead and unveil the mystery around Vault 63 where they will meet its dwellers and discover a shocking new Ghoul type – The Lost.” You can get a feel for the expansion in the trailer above, though it won’t be long before you can play it, as Skyline Valley launches on June 12th. The trailer also teased a much-requested feature coming to the game... Continue reading… View the full article
  5. Dragon Age: The Veilguard has just popped up with a new trailer at the Xbox Showcase, giving us our first ever look at Bioware's next big release. This also came with a release target, with the game set to launch in this fall. Being shown off in LA as part of Summer Game Fest 2024, this is the first real showcase of the game since its reveal a few years ago. Aside from scarce info drops and the recent name-change, there's been little info to pick through until today. It's obviously been a while since we've seen anything from Dragon Age in general! Bioware has been otherwise busy with other projects since the release of Dragon Age: Inquisition in 2014, moving onto Anthem before hunkering down and working on new games in the Dragon Age and Mass Effect franchises. Here's hoping this new entry meets unavoidable lofty expectations! Read more View the full article
  6. Fallout 76 is set to introduce playable ghouls as a standalone update coming in early 2025, in what’ll be a first for the series. Yep, all those years you’ve spent in Appalachia dreaming of being exempt from worrying about radiation, you’ll have the option to bring them to an end soon. It’s a cool time for Bethesda to be introducing this in 76, given how much everyone loved Walton Goggins’ ghoulified presence in Amazon’s Fallout TV show, the second season of which is already in the works. It’s also fitting because, in addition to being able to rock his outfit right now, a lot of Appalachia’s most hardened veterans probably feel like they’ve amassed just as much wasteland weathering as Cooper Howard by this point. Once the update drops, you’ll be given the chance to play as a ghoul via a special quest that’ll become available once your vault dweller hits level 50 - obviously if you’re one of the many players who’re already well past that point, it should hopefully pop up from the get go. 9. The Xbox Showcase has brought us a first look at iD Software’s highly-anticipated next project. 10. After first being revealed four years ago, State of Decay 3 finally received a new trailer at today's Xbox Games Showcase. It's been quite a while since we last saw anything of State of Decay 3, as the announcement trailer back in 2020 is the only thing that's been shown for it, and that was just a CG trailer. But now, developer Undead Labs has finally offered up a full reveal of the upcoming threequel, even showing off some gameplay. You can watch the trailer below, which shows off a bit of the world through a tasty cinematic. A release date for State of Decay 3 wasn't confirmed in the trailer, though it did offer up a release window of 2025, so it shouldn't be too long until you get to team up with some friends to take down a bunch of zombies. Ahead of the Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 Direct set to take place right after the Xbox Games Showcase, Microsoft confirmed that the upcoming entry in the long-running first-person shooter series would be releasing on October 26. Alongside the brief trailer, which offered a reminder to check out the Direct, it also made sure to mention that the game will be available through Xbox Game Pass day one, something that had previously been announced by Microsoft. This'll obviously be quite a big change for Call of Duty, as there's been many questions as to whether this decision will cannibalise game sales. Only time will tell. The trailer, which you can watch above, revealed a quick look at gameplay, showing the campaign as well as returning characters including Adler and Woods. In addition, all the content will be releasing at the same time and it will be launcing on Game Pass too!, though more will obviously be shown off during the Direct. Read more View the full article
  13. A newcomer to Fallout 4 has found an incredibly rare item in very little time. Now, the community is calling for a serious penalty against the alleged harasser, while others suggest it could’ve been a case of miscommunication. According to the post, Zorat went off on the player in front of a judge and crowd and accused her of doing “everything possible to force a tie” and “slow playing.” She stated she was never trying to force a tie and that the judge “saw no issue with [her] pace of play.” Zorat also allegedly made an offensive comment: “You get what you deserve, ******.” View the full article
