Elden Ring can be tough if you’re playing it by yourself, and if this sounds familiar, maybe it’s time to get yourself the Elden Ring Seamless Co-op mod and team up with a friend. FromSoftware’s Elden Ring is considered the developer’s crowning achievement for many—although Bloodborne and Sekiro fans may have something to say. It’s brutal, beautiful, and boy, it can be hard. Outside of occasional summons for boss fights and Ashes, Elden Ring sadly doesn’t come equipped with a proper co-op setting. View the full article
The “Wrapped Indian clothes” clue in today’s NYT Mini Crossword is probably the hardest one. If you’re not familiar with Indian culture and haven’t worn these clothes, you might not know the word at all. If that’s you, I’m here to help. I solved it by answering most of the across clues first since they were easier and faster to find. When I was missing just one letter of this clue, I used an old crossword trick to find the final answer and solve it. Here’s how you can do it too. View the full article

The Gulool Ja Ja battle in the Dawntrail MSQ is exceptionally difficult and comes out of nowhere. If you’re struggling as much as I did, let me share a few tips and explain how to beat Gulool Ja Ja in FFXIV Dawntrail. How to defeat the Dawnservant FFXIV Dawntrail MSQAs I mentioned earlier, this battle with Gulool Ja Ja is surprisingly tricky. The ****** is unique as it’s a 1V1 brawl, and there’s no way to call for help. I’ll explain the encounter in detail, but if you can’t beat the boss, the most impactful change you can make is turning the difficulty down.If you lose against Gulool Ja Ja, you can start the battle again with Easy or Very Easy settings. I don’t know the exact numbers, but you take less damage on lower difficulties. Another broad tip I can give is to take your time. Gulool Ja Ja has a colossal health pool, and sticking your neck out for a little extra damage is rarely worth it.Even if you turn the difficulty down, the bo...View the full article
When it comes to playing support in League of Legends, there’s a lot to keep track of. The best support for each patch can change based on the meta, the type of support you play, and even the patch updates. Supports can be divided into three categories: Enchanters, engagers, and poke supports. Some champions cross over into multiple categories, so it’s a pretty safe golden triangle to follow. But there are supports in Patch 14.13 you should pick that fall into these categories. View the full article
During an interview with FromSoftware director Hidetaka Miyazaki, in which he admitted that not only does he ***** at video games, but he'll use every advantage possible when playing Elden Ring (yes, that includes Mimic Tear). Miyazaki concluded that while his journey in The Lands Between is coming to an end, that doesn't mean he'd discourage any further adaptations, whether that be TV or film... Warning, spoilers for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree lie ahead. I'm very glad to report that Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree's big final boss, the one so tough folks have asked Let Me Solo Her to focus their efforts on it, has now been beaten by someone using a saxophone as a controller. Yep, we've had one-shots, uber-tanks, and dance pads, so the natural progression is someone ruining a DLC boss' day via the medium of soothing jazz, which is exactly what this streamer has done. To be fair, given that they'd already managed to Clarence Clemons their way through the base game - as we discussed with them while asking for some DLC tips back when it was first revealed - this ***** was probably inevitable. A cut Witcher 3 scene has been discovered, and it's one that would have seen fan favourite Yennefer betray the Lodge of Sorceresses. Back in May, CD Projekt Red finally released its REDkit Mod Editor for The Witcher 3, opening up the doors for all sorts of modding capabilities for the nine year old game. It was a welcome tool set for many, and now as reported by PC Gamer, it's helped uncover a cut Witcher 3 scene that details what would have happened to the Lodge of Sorceresses at the end of the game. This isn't something that was really covered in the original game, and it's clearly a scene CD Projekt Red opted noted to progress with, given how it wasn't included in the final result - the scene isn't even finished, but you can check out the video from one of the modders who found it, xLetalis, below (and spoilers for the end of the game ahead, obviously). As the game stands, once Geralt beats Eredin, shortly after it's found that Avallac'h took Ciri to the tower on Undvik so that she can beat the White Frost. This always happens, no matter what ending you went for, and it seems that this cut scene with Yennefer would have taken place between Geralt's walloping of Eredin, and the final moment with Ciri at the tower. Those moments wouldn't have changed all that much, but as mentioned it does indicate what might have happened with the Lodge of Sorceresses. Read more View the full article

Big large huge RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt recently got a fresh set of official modding tools in the form of REDKit, a powerful bit of downloadable that helps you add whatever you fancy to the game, including entire custom questlines. Not two months on from REDKit’s release, ‘Tuber xLetalis and modder glassfish - a contributor to the cut-content-restoring Brothers in Arms mod - have put together a showcase containing around 20 minutes of cut content from the game’s ending. Cheers, cheery RPS fanzine PC Gamer! The cut scenes, dug up and reimplemented for the video, would have taken place between Geralt’s showdown with Eredin and the game’s finale at the tower. It's all set in a Niflgaardian camp, and would have included conversations with Yennefer and Emperor Charles Dance, as well as some optional chats and exploration. There’s also a scene - albeit one missing some animations - in which Yennefer betrays the Lodge of Sorceress to the Nilfgaardians in a bid to help Ciri. She lets Triss escape though, font of goodwill that she is. Elsewhere in the discarded scenes, there’s even some extra bits with good old Crach an Craite, who I mainly remember as the bestower of a very-hyped up magic sword with very useless stats. Dr Disrespect’s ban from Twitch was allegedly followed by a complaint to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), according to a new report. It’s claimed the complaint was filed by Twitch due to “explicit messages” sent to a minor. According to a report by Rod “Slasher” Breslau for Rolling Stone (published on June 27 and updated on June 29), the messages sent by DrDisrespect were deemed serious enough to warrant reporting to NCMEC, an organization collaborating with law enforcement to address child exploitation. The developers of speedy first-person shooter Selaco have dropped a big patch for the retro blaster, adding new ******* upgrades and mutators that can change the game's difficulty in piecemeal ways, like making enemies stronger for an added challenge. Storytelling-wise, Elden Ring's famous for being chock full of folks just subtlely alluding to things, without explicitly spelling out the whole picture, and it seems writer George R.R. Martin's embraced that philosophy in his real world interactions too. Well, he has specfically when it comes to acknowledging rumours of a potential Elden Ring TV or film adaptation. Yep, forget trying to read into the meaning of the cut dialogue dataminers have already uncovered in Shadow of the Erdtree or contemplating what it means lore-wise when someone beats Messmer using a dance pad, it's time to try and read into what one of the gretest fantasy writers ever has said on his blog. In the latest post to this blog, Martin discussed awards with help from some baseball philosophy, and also found time to say both nothing and a fair amount about the idea of the FromSoft hitting either the big screen or the smaller screen that all of your furniture is pointed at. The official Deadpool game may be a thing of the past but after a recent update to some of Activision's older licensed projects, there's new hope the Merc with the Mouth's first solo video game may soon be relisted on various platforms. Released in 2013 and developed by High Moon Studios, Deadpool made a splash as it won plenty of praise from the characters' fans, even if critics were lukewarm on its combat and progression system. Despite this, it's becoming a cult classic, making its inaccessibility on modern hardware a frustration for many. View the full article
The creator of Silent Hill, Keiichiro Toyama, and director of the upcoming Slitterhead says he won't be "unsatisfied" even if it's the last game he makes. It's been quite a while since there's been a new game from Toyama, the lead behind the very first Silent Hill, as well as titles like the Siren and Gravity Rush series. Gravity Rush 2 was the last game the director made, in fact, way back in 2017, and later this year he's set to release Slitterhead, the debut title from his newest studio Bokeh Game Studio. While Toyama has been in the industry for many years now, he's not that old, but it also doesn't mean he's not thinking about his own future as a developer. In an interview with GamesRadar, the developer spoke of his hopes going forward, and what he aims to do in the industry. "From a personal perspective, I'm going into my mid-50s," Toyama said. "I don't feel like I'd be unsatisfied even if this was the last game I made." It should be noted that he did make it clear that he has no intention to stop making games, but the thing he's thinking about most is how he can set up future game developers for success. "I opened up this studio and we actually have a lot of new staff coming in, younger staff. I'm more concerned about what I can leave behind for them. Obviously I'm not saying this is my last game. But I think my last mission is to leave a path for these younger creators to work on what they want to." Read more View the full article

It was a wonderful weekend full of fighting game action thanks to CEO 2024, which was live in the USA. However, amidst many a tense match in Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, and more, it was a Mortal Kombat 1 player that shattered expectations with an over-eager pop off. Dyloch, one of the best General Shao players in the world and multiple major tournament winner, managed to take home the first place belt at CEO for Mortal Kombat 1 as well as a tasty $565 in prize money. However, a few matches prior, in the winner's final, he celebrated his victory by picking up his chair and throwing it over the wrestling ring ropes surrounding the console set up. This chair, airborne and clearly in a juggle state, crashed down onto an Elation Chorus Line 16 LED light. You can buy one right now for the low, low price of $2,992. In response, tournament organizer Alex Jebailey posted several tweets, including one where he (perhaps jokingly) asks for Dyloch's Paypal because "somebody’s paying for that broken light fixture and it’s not me" and following this up with a declaration that: "If one more person pops off throwing anything you will be banned from any event I ever do. This is a final warning to anyone in the future. Do not throw things". Back in 2021, Jebailey took similar action against an attendee who pulled a ***** alarm at the event, forcing a mass evacuation and huge rock paper scissors exhibition.
