If the rumor is correct, we're not just talking about the ability to enable an automatic overclock tool, but being allowed to apply a full manual overclock to the processor. A manual overclock is when you set a processor to run beyond its rated clock speed, enabling you to get a faster CPU for no extra cost. Most of the best gaming CPU options support manual overclocking in some form, but the AMD X3D lineup has been a notable outlier. That's because overclocking usually increases a CPU's heat output, and there's not much thermal headroom when the CPU cores already have a big stack of 3D V-cache on top of them. Arc System Works - the ********* developer behind various popular games including Guilty Gear Strive and Dragon Ball FighterZ - has announced in a blog post that it's opening a new branch in Paris, France. This office will handle a variety of work, including new IP and Business development, marketing, customer service, licensing, and localisation. This comes as the company celebrates its 36th anniversary. Its next game, a partnership with Bushiroad Games, is set to be HunterXHunter NenXImpact, which has had a ********* release revealed alongside this announcement of expansion from its creator. It's not like that bit comes as a huge surprise though, as Arc System Works has been releasing games in Europe for years. Nonetheless, it's a bit of extra crème inside this chocolate éclair, so to speak. There's more NenXImpact information too in this blog post, including the company's intent to reveal several additional characters for the game throughout the year, up until its eventual release some time in 2024. Nintendo has outlined its plans to help ensure the Switch's successor isn't affected by scalping as badly as its predecessor was at launch. The big idea - make sure it produces a lot more consoles, something that should be a lot more feasible now the company says it's resolved some component supply issues. For those that might not have been in the market for a Switch at launch, the console was high in demand across major territories, leading to demand overshadowing supply. This was a rich feeding ground for scalpers, who bought up the consoles in bulk with plans to sell them on at inflated prices. The hope seems to be that, by bumping up production (without the worry of factors like the 2021 onward COVID chip shortages), Nintendo can produce enough consoles to make a scalping market redundant. As translated by IGN, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa said the following on the matter in a recent investor Q&A: “As a countermeasure against resale, we believe that the most important thing is to produce a sufficient number to meet customer demand, and this idea has not changed since last year". AMD has apparently slightly pushed back the availability date of its upcoming Ryzen AI 300 Zen 5 laptop CPUs, with the previously expected date of July 15 now scrapped in favor of a July 28 launch.
