  1. The process of farming Planar Ornaments in Honkai: Star Rail is finally getting easier, according to new Version 2.3 leaks detailing an overhaul to the current process. Ornaments are a vital part of any character build as they provide extra stats to them in addition to special effects that often trigger upon reaching a certain stat threshold or performing an action. Much like Relics, Ornaments of the same kind need to be equipped in order for the special effects to occur. Recommended Ornaments are cited for every character, like the ones featured in Robins build in Honkai: Star Rail. View the full article
  2. *********'s Creed Shadows was finally revealed today, but despite its usual franchise stylings, it appears that viewpoints, one of the series' key mechanics, are going to work a bit differently. In *********'s Creed Shadows, they will seemingly no longer trigger a panoramic camera shot of the area and reveal nearby locations, but rather serve as simple fast travel checkpoints. 11. Athenian Rhapsody might just be my new favourite release of 2024. Taking inspiration from the likes of Undertale and Earthbound and turning the ridiculousness up a few notches. Developer Nico Papalia has crafted something brilliant here. Read the full article here: [Hidden Content] View the full article
  12. Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is likely still a little while away, but lucky for you the Epic Games Store is giving away Inquisition completely for free. I'm obviously aware of Dragon Age as a series, including how fervent its fandom is, even if they're having to hibernate while they wait for Dreadwolf, but I've never actually played any of them yet myself. No particular reason why, there's just too many other video games out there, so it's just kind of been on the "I'll get to it eventually" list for a while now. Except, I have less excuses to not at the very least give it a try, as the Epic Games Store is currently giving it away, the Game of the Year Edition no less, completely for free. Now when people ask me if I've played it I can say "no, not yet, but I do own it so I'll get to it eventually," which I would say is a small step of progress. However, you've not got too long to pick it up - the deal ends next week, May 23, so make sure you pick it up before the next free game rolls around. Over on Dealabs, prior to Dragon Age: Inquisition being revealed as this week's free game, frequent leaker of things like unannounced PlayStation Plus titles billbil-kun had reported that it would be. They also noted that Epic Games will be going away a different triple-A title up to June 13, for a total of four games, so you can probably expect some other big names over the next month too, given how reliable billbil-kun's record has been with things like this. 13. The creative director behind *********'s Creed Shadows has shared some information related to the size of Ubisoft's upcoming open world stabby action game. Speaking to IGN, Jonathan Dumont stated that the game will be roughly the size of *********'s Creed Origins, rather than the larger Valhalla. "It's in-line with the latest *********'s Creeds that we've done," Dumont said, "On a scale level, maybe we can compare it a little bit more to the size of *********'s Creed Origins." This may come as great news for those out there who found the larger scope of Valhalla and Odyssey a bit too much. Now, don't get me wrong, the huge swathes of content offered by those games and massive RPGs before them have proven to be a sweet succor for workers and teenagers with little money and much time to *****. But at a time when there are frankly a wild number of fantastic games to play, the prospects of clearing out Shadows without seeing a season come and go is a tantalizing concept. 17. With Wuthering Waves releasing on PC, iOS, and PlayStation, players are inevitably wondering if it supports crossplay or cross-progression. We’ll let you know if you can play with friends from different platforms.Wuthering Waves: Is there crossplay?Currently, Kuro Games has yet to confirm if Wuthering Waves has crossplay or not. Since Wuthering Waves has multiplayer, it wouldn’t be surprising to see crossplay enabled. This would allow players on one platform to play online with friends on another. Unfortunately, so far, we know nothing about this RPG’s crossplay functionality and won’t know anything until players can find out for themselves once the game is available to everyone. If it’s not available from launch, we can probably expect crossplay to arrive sometime in the future. Although it’s typical for online games to come out the gate with crossplay enabled, even some of the most popular games like Genshin Impact didn’t init...View the full article
  18. New puzzle game Lorelei and the Laser Eyes isn't for the faint of heart, but developer Simogo has a unique approach to opening up the game to all audiences. As the studio behind games like the impressive Sayonara Wild Hearts and Year Walk, Simogo has never been especially bound to convention. These games also have a knack for knowing where to streamline things and where to branch out in new directions, which is a lot of what makes them so easy to pick up and get immersed in. 19. Indie game developer Simogo has a long track record of interesting titles, but its newest, Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, might be the most ambitious and unusual yet. As a complex puzzle adventure set inside a ******-and-white hotel, it doesn't take long for the game to set itself apart from anything out there. What also becomes clear is just how much thought and creativity went into the experience, which took over four years to craft. View the full article

  21. Enlarge / Identical cousins. (credit: Spellblade91 / Reddit) [/url] Years ago, Sony started making a select handful of "PlayStation 2 Classics" available as emulated downloads on the PlayStation 4. Now, there are signs that certain PS2 games will be similarly available for native download on the PS5, complete with new features like "up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters." The hint at Sony's coming PS2 download plans comes via a new PlayStation Network listing for the 2002 release Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which recently appeared on tracking site PSDeals (as noticed by Gematsu). That site draws from unpublished data from the PSN servers, such as this thumbnail image that recently appeared on the playstation.com servers and lists a planned June 11 release for the emulated Clone Wars port. So far, this is nothing out of the ordinary. But near the bottom of the boilerplate, the listing notes that "this title has been converted from the PlayStation 2 version to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles and provides newly added features [emphasis added]." That's a marked difference from earlier "PS2 on PS4" downloadable releases, which only say that they were "converted from the original PlayStation 2 version to the PS4 system."
