In theory I'm down to review Breachway, a roguelike deck-building space sim which is sort of FTL but 3D and with cards. The second I wrested this privilege from Ed Thorn's resentful fingers, however, developers Edgeflow Studio and publishers Hooded Horse delayed the early access release. Perhaps this reflects Hooded Horse's atypically forgiving, when-it's-ready approach to game publishing. Or perhaps they just hate me and wish to deny me things that might bring me pleasure. It matters not, because the game now has a new early access release date - 30th August 2024 via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. Catch a celebratory trailer below. If you act fast you can grab this super-speedy and high-capacity PCIe 4.0 SSD for its lowest price in ages. This Samsung SSD deal sees one of the company's fastest and largest-capacity M.2 drives, the 4TB 990 Pro, available for just $299.99, which gives you 35% off its MSRP and offers incredible value for this size and speed of drive. When it launched, the 990 Pro was clearly one of the best gaming SSDs when it came to speed, but this Samsung drive was also quite expensive then, holding it back from a general recommendation. However, it's a great buy at today's deal price. Slower drives of this size can be had for less money, but if you want performance and space, this is one of the lowest price options available right now. Read the rest of the story... Razer has just announced two new features coming to some of its top-tier gaming mice that could make it easier for some gamers to optimize their mouse setup to suit their play style. Razer Mouse Rotation and Dynamic Sensitivity are software additions that open up the ability to change how your mouse reacts when you hold your mouse at an angle and how its sensitivity changes depending on your movements. The two new features are only available currently on the Razer Viper V3 Pro and Razer DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed - despite the feature seemingly being just a software/firmware addition - and if they prove to be useful they would see Razer's two most recent flagship gaming mice further cement their positions at the top of our best gaming mouse guide. With the introduction of an entirely new progression system in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, it can be hard to know if it's possible to be overleveled for the DLC - especially past the "standard" endgame level of 150. With the bosses and enemies in Shadow of the Erdtree bringing a new level of challenge to the game, some players may find themselves split between wanting as much power as possible and wanting to still retain the DLC's difficulty by not being too high of a level. From Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart through the original Prey to the obvious touchpoint Portal, gaming hath no greater love than that for an unassuming door which stitches together two places that are notionally far apart. This rampant enthusiasm for teledoors might seem strange, given that video games are make-believe worlds held together by arbitrary loops and squiggles of magic language and as such, that there is fundamentally no reason any given video game door should obey the customary laws of spacetime. But don’t let that stop you watching the announcement trailer for Motion Blur’s ****** State, a third-person stealth shooter which is heavily redolent of Metal Gear Solid. Yep, there's already another Helldivers 2 Major Order, because, if you missed it, the last one got blown through quicker than you can say 'oh boy, I sure can't wait to stomp some bugs'. Thankfully, this new one should take a bit longer, and even offers a chance for some of the community's armchair generals to see if they truly know ball when it comes to battle strategy. If nothing else, it seems like a fun test for the forces that'll be getting their hands on an interplanetary battle station at some point in the near future, and will presumbaly be using it to get involved in plenty more interstellar battles. "After an explosive force that took far less time than Super Earth High Command could have anticipated, there exists now one hundred million less fascist bugs in the Galaxy," this latest order reads, "Never underestimate the bug-******** capacity of Helldivers and an expanded arsenal! This application of controlled duress to the Terminid menace has resulted in some exciting findings, such as that the Terminids produce higher quality E-710 when harvested under extreme duress." LEC’s viewership has been declining for the past three years, but, looking at the recent data, the situation has changed, mostly thanks to co-streamers. In 2024, LEC follows the same format as in 2023, with the competition divided into three splits and regional finals afterward. According to a report by Sheep Esports on July 11, while the peak and average audience was still dropping with each split in 2023, this year, it has seen a rise, with a substantial part of today’s viewership consisting of co-streamers. In June, Riot Games announced substantial changes to the League of Legends esports ecosystem, beginning in 2025. It included moving the Mid-Season Invitational to July, which sparked rumors it might be a part of the Esports World Cup and held in the Middle East. However, Riot has debunked the rumor. In an X post on July 11, Chris Greeley, global head of strategy for Leaguehttps://dotesports.com/league-of-legendsEsports, reassured fans MSI won’t take place in the Middle East. “MSI’s move to July was in the works before we were aware of the EWC. While the timing is certainly coincidental, I can say with certainty that MSI 2025 is not taking place anywhere in the Middle East (and it isn’t on the roadmap at this point for future years),” Greeley wrote. Ubisoft's apology for using a flag from a ********* historical re-enactment group in artwork for *********'s Creed Shadows without permission isn't good enough, the group has said. As reported by Automaton, Sekigahara Teppo-****, a historical re-enactment group made up of volunteers who perform to the public at festivals and other events, published a statement on X/Twitter saying it would also like its image, essentially copied one for one, removed from the printed physical art book featured in the Collector's Edition of *********'s Creed Shadows. Ubisoft is selling this edition for $279.99. Eagle-eyed fans initially noticed the identical recreation of the flag, which can be seen below, in a piece of concept art for the Japan-set *********'s Creed released alongside its full reveal. It was raised to a leading member of the Sekigahara Teppo-****, X/Twitter user @matchlock_kage, who posted a photo of the real flag taken on October 27, 2019, and expressed concern at it being used by Ubisoft without permission. Ubisoft apologized and said it will no longer use the associated artwork (though the nature of the internet means it will be infinitely shared anyway) with one exception: the presumably already printed physical art book. However, this apology was deemed not enough for the historical re-enactment group. "The Sekigahara Teppo-**** members discussed the matter again," X/Twitter user @matchlock_kage said in another post. "We have asked Ubisoft to remove the image from the Collector’s Edition art book. I’m not sure if this will be possible but I’ve contacted Ubisoft through their support." Ubisoft is yet to respond, but IGN has asked for comment. *********'s Creed Shadows was fully revealed in May 2024 as a Japan-set entry where players take control of two protagonists: the stealthy shinobi Naoe and the action-orientated Yasuke, who is a real figure from ********* history. IGN had a wealth of exclusive content on the reveal, and you can read about all the gameplay changes, story beats, and open-world assassinating coming with Shadows in our extensive interview with the development team. If that's not enough, check our analysis and explanation of where and when Shadows is set and 40 key details we've learned about the game.
