While playing Destiny 2, I reached a point where I had to eliminate all combatants, but none remained. As has been the case for every major Destiny expansion since 2014, Destiny 2: The Final Shape has kicked off with hours of error messages and hours-long ****** times as players rush to log in. The error message, which reads "Destiny 2 servers are not available" for most, has been met with annoyance from some, while most veterans are merely unsurprised by this longstanding tradition. The issues likely stem from the massive influx of players the game sees with each new expansion, as Steam alone reported more than 200,000 players trying to log on simultaneously moments after the servers came online — a significantly higher number than that platform typically sees, though still well below the all-time player count of nearly 400,000.
