The brave folks at Arrowhead Game Studios have “leaked” found footage of Helldivers 2’s game master, Joel, and it’s safe to say that Joel isn’t who we thought he was. Arrowhead one-upped the seemingly omnipotent Joel by dropping exclusive found footage on X (formerly Twitter) of Joel working on Helldivers 2 on Aug. 1. Diablo 4 Season Five, the Season of the Infernal Hordes, will be the final season before the Vessel of Hatred expansion drops in October. Players hope that with all the significant changes from Season Four and the ones coming in Season Five, Diablo 4 will feel complete. It’s no secret that since Diablo 4 launched in mid-2023 the Blizzard action RPG has suffered several less-than-specular updates and seasons. Though Stardew Valley is often one of the best-recognized cozy games, but those who have worked their way through the popular farming sim know there are some horrors lurking within the game specifically in the various caves and mines. On Aug. 1, Pokémon Go dropped details on event highlights and perks to celebrate Worlds, and there’s plenty to take advantage of. From Friday, Aug. 16 at 10am to Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 8pm local time, the special World Championships 2024 Pikachu will appear with a chance to be Shiny. Apex Legends Season 22 is just around the corner, and Respawn has just dropped some early details about what fans can expect. Of course, the headline act is its glorious-looking, neon-drenched new map called E-District, but the one new addition that has really caught my eye is the addition of Revival. This new mechanic aims to give eliminated players a second chance without the need for Respawn Beacons, and it essentially brings the vibes from Call of Duty Warzone's most hectic (and in my opinion, best) game mode to Apex Legends.
