  21. Kai Cenat, one of the fastest rising and biggest streamers on Twitch, has given his home a massive maker to bring attention to the demand for a Bloodborne remaster. Ah, Bloodborne. Requests for a remaster/ remake/ PC port are arguably PlayStation fans' version of "new Smash character?" in Nintendo Directs, albeit an increasingly unlikely thing to happen. It's not like the game is unplayable, it is backwards compatible on PS5, but a remaster with an improved framerate would certainly be welcome for an action game with some tight hitboxes, and a PC port would likely open the game up to a whole world of mods. And yet, such a thing has never happened, despite the constant fan outcry for it - *****, not even director Hidetaka Miyazaki is against it, even if it's not in his hands. Enter Kai Cenat, a Twitch streamer you've probably been seeing more and more of recently, the site's fifth most followed account, and a very big personality. 23. As with any Soulsborne game, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree requires players to do some investigating to uncover its story, lore, and mysteries. The expansion left many mysteries unanswered, annoyingly, but this isn't surprising, since FromSoftware is known for leaving many aspects of the worlds it creates up to interpretation. Quite frankly, discovering and learning about the lore that the game doesn't overtly tell its players has become part of the fun and is something to look forward to in many Soulsborne games. 24. Baldur's Gate 3 developer Larian Studios is hard at work on its next title, but the hit RPG is getting in the way of fresh ideas. If you can believe it, it's already been a year since Baldur's Gate 3 came out of early access. I know, I know, the passage of time is a daily existential crisis, but let's put that to the side for the minute. Larian is still doing some work on the beloved RPG, with sign-ups for its upcoming seventh patch closed beta having gone live last month. That patch is due out in September, but of course, the studio is also working on a couple of new "very ambitious RPGs" with a Larian lead summit taking place early last month too. Except, as it turns out, coming up with new ideas is hard, especially when you put so many good ones in your previous game. To commemorate the game's first anniversary, PC Gamer interviewed writing director Adam Smith about the game, and how coming up with ideas for the studios' next game is proving to be difficult. "One of the biggest problems we have now is that whenever we're talking about things, we say we did that in BG3," Smith said. "And it turns out, we did a lot of things in BG3 when we think back to it." This isn't actually a new problem for Larian, as apparently it also faced a similar issue with Baldur's Gate 3 and looking back to the Divinity: Original Sin games. Read more View the full article
