  1. There's a new Zelda glitch in town, and this one is a ridiculously complicated method to make Link's Master Sword in Tears of the Kingdom completely unbreakable. Where do I even begin with this? As players always do with games as big as Tears of the Kingdom, it was discovered that you could load the version of the Master Sword Link has in the game's prologue (before it's broken) into your main save file to use in the rest of the game. When you would do so, it would be called MsgNotFound in your inventory, and was completely unbreakable, as it can't break in the prologue. Unsurprisingly, in version 1.2.1 of the game, the most recent update, Nintendo patched this glitch out, making it impossible to obtain MsgNotFound. Of course, that hasn't stopped the Tears of the Kingdom community from figuring out how to do it again - even if it is mind numbingly confusing to do now. Tears of the Kingdom YouTuber El Duende 05 shared a video last week revealing to the community that it is possible to retrieve the MsgNotFound version of the Master Sword. The only problem is that the video, which contains every step you need to take in order to get it, is an hour long. Bear in mind, this is in an edited format, so in order to pull this off, you'll likely need to spend a whole lot more time than that just to get an unbreakable Master Sword. The steps are so lengthy and confusing, I'm not even going to attempt to explain it all. You'll have to drop weapons and shields a lot, fuse certain things together, perform tricky warps, save your game at weird times. It's a lot. Read more View the full article
  2. Buenos dias. It doesn’t matter if you’re at home in the USA, you’re in bed doing the NYT Mini Crossword in the ***, or you’re on the train in Holland, this word game is universal, and the “Female friend in Spanish” clue likely depends on your intuition, as well as your knowledge of the silky Spanish language. ‘Female friend in Spanish’ Aug. 5 NYT Mini Crossword solution and hints Three down clue. 3. Larian Studios, the developer behind Baldur's Gate 3, is already looking ahead to its future projects. In April, the studio revealed that it is working on two new titles. However, the team faces the challenge of ensuring these upcoming games provide a new and distinct experience for players familiar with the immersive world of Baldur's Gate 3. View the full article
  4. One of the neat things about Norland's fantasy medievalism is that specialist knowledge is tied to characters. So if there's only one person in your village who knows how to brew tastier *****, and they **** after being freakishly savaged by a passing wolf (it happens), suddenly your village will have no artisanal lager master. The results may be devastating. Luckily, you can share knowledge in a number of ways - by copying books, or having "wise conversations". The exception to this is child characters, whose pea-sized brains can't learn specialist knowledge, only soaking up basic attributes like "manners" from the teachers you assign to them. Well, until now. The developers for the Rimworld-meets-Crusader Kings catastrophe simulator have made kids a little smarter. They'll now learn more important things from their ****** teachers. 5. ***** has filed a trademark for Yakuza Wars. As spotted by Gematsu, the trademark was published in Japan today. Its filing category suggests the name will be used in a video game product of some sort, rather than any of *****’s other enterprises. Read More... View the full article
  6. Great news T.V lovers! We've got a brand-new snippet of The Last of Us season 2 via a quick-cut HBO MAX trailer. This trailer, a combination showcase of all the upcoming shows and seasons coming to the video-on-demand service, caps off its presentation with a nice chunk of Joel and Ellie's future adventures. Roughly 20 seconds in length, we get Joel seemingly sat down across from a therapist, multiple shots of Ellie in duress (as you'd expect), a few new characters, as well as Tommy in a bit of a pickle. Not too much in terms of spoilers, but obviously those who've played the game may spot a few nods here and there. What's interesting is that we don't get too much Abby in this teaser. A major character in the second game, and confirmed to be featured due to [Hidden Content] Dever's confirmed casting in the role, perhaps her presence is being left as a last minute stinger to those unfamiliar with the source material... Nonetheless, those who've played the first game will have spotted her caught under the fence all-to-briefly. Read more View the full article
  7. Flippin’ heck, what a journey it’s been for Baldur's Gate 3, eh? It seems just yesterday I was getting very jealous at Matthew Castle (RPS in peace) for getting to preview the sequel to my beloved Shadows Of Amn. Fast forward several turns, Larian’s RPG banger is officially one year old since release, and there’s now a much higher chance that strangers at pubs will understand why my ******* romance with Jaheira as a youth was such a deeply heartbreaking experience. Baldur’s Gate 3 itself looks to be done and dusted following the upcoming patch, but Larian now look to be gearing up for their next charm offensive with a new “community focused” YouTube channel, as well as further teasing their two games currently in development. 8. Flowers are all over Disney Dreamlight Valley, and sometimes the Valley residents want them, whether it’s their favorite gift of the day, part of a quest, or for a crafting recipe. Fortunately, the Red and White Hydrangea isn’t hard to find—if you know where to look. Red and White Hydrangea location in Disney Dreamlight Valley The Red and White Hydrangea in Disney Dreamlight Valley spawns on Dazzle Beach, and there’s no trick to finding it. The beach is split into two areas, and the flower can spawn on either, but the side closer to the Plaza is a little bit *******, which makes the flower easier to find there. View the full article
  9. If you play Helldivers 2, and you're one of the many folks who've been delibrately trying to help the community avoid being given some new anti-tank mines for meme reasons, I've got bad news. It looks like Arrowhead's finally gotten wise to your games and put together a Major Order that'll ensure you get 'em. For those out of the loop, Helldivers 2's anti-tank mines have become a running joke that's basically done a marathon at this point. The poor explosive devices were first offered by Arrowhead back in April as the alternative choice to a rocket launcher, lost that battle, and have since lost a number of other times in their goal to be added to the game - including to some Super Earth kids that needed saving. Well, it now looks like Arrowhead's had enough of the community's mistreatment of the mines, and has fashioned a Major Order designed to ensure they finally get deployed into the inventories of players ahead of the Escalation of Freedom update's arrival on August 6. 10. That's right Half-Life fans, you've got a new reason to believe that the long-awaited third entry is definitely, for sure this time, absolutely happening. Look, I'm sure I don't need to tell you about the history of Half-Life 3, or it's lack thereof I guess. You've seen the memes, you've seen all the times people have sworn it's definitely coming this time only to be let down. But this time, maybe it's different! As spotted over on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, a voice actor that has appeared in titles like Starfield, Valorant, Fallout 76 and more listed something in their resume called "Project White Sands" crediting Valve as the developer - though any mention of the game has since been scrubbed from their site. So, of course, as soon as this was spotted, fans quickly jumped to the conclusion that this must be the time that Half-Life 3 is getting announced. Project White Sands could mean anything to the unassuming eye, but Half-Life fans have already connected some dots. White Sands is the name of a real-life US army military testing area, based in New Mexico (and also where the first atomic ***** was tested). And where is the famed ****** Mesa Research Facility located in-game? New Mexico! You can see why fans have quickly jumped to believing that this is the fabled Half-Life 3, though honestly, I doubt that it will specifically be Half-Life 3. Read more View the full article

  12. I write this week's list of new PC games in a spirit of *******, for a strange man is at my window with a ladder. Has Santa Claus come early? Have Sony's goons found me at last, after swearing vengeance for that 8/10 I handed **** Of War 3 as a cub reporter? Does the motion detector on the light over the apartment block door need fixing? There is no time to enquire and certainly no time to flee, for there are video games we must discuss. Read more View the full article

  15. Among the best grand strategy games that Paradox Interactive has graced us with - the likes of Crusader Kings 3, Stellaris, and Hearts of Iron 4 to name but a few - Europa Universalis 4 ******** one of its finest works. But as the studio gently teases a possible Europa Universalis 5, one comprehensive mod completely reimagines EU4 in an altogether different, classical-era form. Read the rest of the story... 17. The arcade twin-stick shooter market is not as vibrant as it once was, giving CYGNI: All Guns Blazing a chance to impose itself on a forgotten genre. Its vibrant visuals and cacophonous combination of sounds and scores dominate the meal, but the rest of the experience is undercooked and disproportionate. As an avid lover of twin-stick space shooters—with Housemarque’s Super Stardust and Resogun still considered must-plays—I was thrilled to hear KeelWorks’ CYGNI: All Guns Blazing was speeding towards us at warp speed…or at least I was until I played it. 18. CYGNI: All Guns Blazing is full speed or nothing, and your screen fills up very quickly with enemies. So we’re here to talk about dodging and if you can block incoming projectiles. The chaotic nature of CYGNI: All Guns Blazing barely gives you a second to breathe. Alien ships swarm all around you and surround you quicker than cats around an automatic food dispenser. The bullet-***** nature of CYGNI means there is an emphasis on evading incoming ***** and staying safe. View the full article

CYGNI: All Guns Blazing is sensory overload at its finest. 20. The lock-on mechanic in CYGNI: All Guns Blazing is an effortless way to keep swarms of enemies at bay. But even though you are introduced to the lock-on feature early on, it’s not obvious how to use it. CYGNI: All Guns Blazing has frantic gameplay with no dodge mechanic to speak of, so a good way to neutralize an ******’s threat is by taking them down before they can *******. View the full article

The game offers several difficulty levels to choose from alongside an Arcade Mode to conquer. View the full article
  22. Don’t let the Konami logo at the start fool you – Cygni: All Guns Blazing is very much an indie game, albeit one being released globally by the ********* publisher. You’d be fooled for thinking otherwise, of course. Just a brief glimpse at it in action may be enough to convince you that a lot of money has been thrown at it, when in reality the game – which started off as a three-person team and grew to around eight developers – has just been punching well above its weight, in the best way. If it’s passed you by until now, Cygni was developed by KeelWorks, a Scotland-based team led by brothers Meher and Nareg Kalenderian and co-founder Helen Saouma. The game is an attempt to bring something new to the ****** ‘em up – a genre that was once synonymous with Konami back in the ‘80s and ‘90s – and it passes with flying colours. Read More... 23. The average level in Cygni: All Guns Blazing is about 15 minutes long, give or take, but it doesn’t feel that way. It feels like a two-and-a-half hour special effects showcase that ought to have ended with a fade to ****** and “Directed by Michael Bay” in big, bold letters. Cygni’s audio-visual bombast is difficult to overstate, with its Unreal Engine 4-powered hordes of alien jet fighters screaming toward you from above and below. The sheer number of models, bullets, and particle effects on screen is frequently overwhelming, and if your attention lapses for a moment, you’ll lose all sense of what’s happening... 24. The gaming community is preparing to sound the alarm again after dataminers this week uncovered files in Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 that may point to continued work on the fabled Half-Life 3. Alongside a supposed ***** from a voice actor, it’s the best evidence in years that we could eventually return to the Half-Life universe. Content creator and dataminer Tyler McVicker detailed his findings in a YouTube video on Aug. 4, showcasing numerous files from recent CS2 and Dota updates that reference terms last seen in Half-Life 2 and Half-Life: Alyx. Some of these terms, McVicker explains, didn’t make the cut for the release of the Half-Life VR title but uncovered data confirms Valve has continued to test these features on the Source 2 engine.
