While Helldivers 2's last big patch has gone down pretty well, it also seems to have created a fresh set of issues for Arrowhead to investigate. To its credit, the studio is now looking into two of the biggest problems players are currently reporting, though the list does look to be getting longer day by day. If you're out of the loop, one of the things some folks have been reporting as they've gone about saving and then ******** kids is that the changes the patch made to how enemies spawn - by lessening the amount of heavy units that get flung at people in favour of more small foes - have actually made things more difficult. Arrowhead's now confirmed it is looking into that, but the situation apparently isn't as straighforward as it might seem. In a post on the game's Discord server, community manager Twinbeard has shared an update on the studio's efforts to investigate those reports that the tweaks haven't made for less folks getting helplessly pinned down at higher difficulties. "For those of you who are asking about patrols/****** presence, this is an intricate one," he wrote, "Instead of me trying to get into the nitty gritty details, probably failing miserably, I think we should try to supply a proper explanation on how it works, what we've changed and how we want it to play in regards to ****** presence overall." The original Elden Ring manga is on hiatus for this month, as the author is… going to be busy playing Shadow of the Erdtree. Earlier this month, you might have seen that a new Elden Ring manga was in the works. The original manga, Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree, by Nikiichi Tobita, is still ongoing, except there won't be a new chapter next month. As spotted by GamesRadar, Tobita took to Twitter to explain why they won't be releasing a chapter next month (which typically releases on the 19th, a new chapter just dropped today), and it's pretty simple: Shadow of the Erdtree is out this week. Yes, that's right, Tobita is just like the rest of us, and appears to be taking some time off of working on a manga about playing Elden Ring, so that they can instead play Elden Ring. I mean, this surely has to count as research right? In the tweet from Tobita above, you can see a drawing of someone sleeping in a bed dreaming of those funny glowing worms seen in the first Shadow of the Erdtree trailer, that person presumably being Tobita themself. I do love those weird little worms too, even though I know they'll end up kicking my ****, despite how cute they are. It's only been a month since Furiosa: A **** Max Saga was released in cinemas, but it looks like it's already coming to digital storefronts. Furiosa is the first new **** Max film in almost a decade, and to the surprise of probably only those that know nothing about the history of the franchise, it hasn't done great at the box office. The prequel had a budget of around $168 million, but so far has only grossed a little over $160 million at the box office. While **** Max Fury: Road, which introduced Furiosa to the film's post apocalyptic universe, did comparatively better at the box office, it technically also resulted in a net loss, so these films historically haven't done all that great. And now, as spotted online, Amazon is listing Furiosa as coming releasing digitally this coming June 24. It's pretty common practice to release films digitally quite soon after their cinema release, particularly if they're not doing well, but it does kind of undercut Furiosa's ability to pick itself up across the rest of the summer. Furiosa was released in cinemas May 24, so this literally will mark a whole month exactly before it winds up on digital platforms. When I wrote our Still Wakes The Deep review I mentioned the true-to-life Scottish slang used by the oil rig workers of this North Sea horror. It was wonderful, but all these slang terms were being translated in the subtitles for some reason. "Gobshite" became "bastard". The "polis" were localised as the "police". And every "yersel" sneering out of the machismo-ridden workers became "yourself". Well, turns out that's the result of the game defaulting to "International English" for its captions. But if you want to immerse yourself in Scottish vernacular as deeply as protagonist Caz McCleary immerses himself in hazardous chemical spills, good news.
