  1. Riot has finally unveiled League of Legends' four-player Vampire Survivors style mode, Swarm. Fully PvE, you and three friends (or just you, whatever you prefer) are thrust into the colorful shoes of the Anima Squad and tasked with fending off legions of cascading Primordians. League of Legends Swarm is the first non-PvP mode we've seen in quite a while, with Odyssey: Extraction being the last one back in 2018. At an exclusive event in Riot HQ in sunny Santa Monica, Los Angeles, I ask the team why they've decided to bring back PvE after all this time. Read the rest of the story... 3. With Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree increasing difficulty, that means the leveling system behaves somewhat differently. Before jumping into the madness of Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, it’s best to know how the leveling system works.Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree: How the new leveling system works – explainedOnce you get started Shadow of the Erdtree, things go south fast. The only way to mitigate that is by leveling up even further. The basic way to level up is through Runes, however, for the DLC, things go further. This is done by Scadutree Blessings. When you earn the blessing, your *******, and defensive attributes get enhanced. So, if you don’t have enough Runes to progress in your leveling, these Scadutree Blessings are a great way to get stronger in Shadow of the Erdtree. 4. Many new enemies are waiting for you in the Land of Shadow in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, but the wandering Furnace Golems are some of the coolest. Yes, Golems, plural. The one you see when you *****, ahem, ***** up the DLC is just the beginning. These massive fiery foes may seem like bosses, but they’re just normal enemies that can be found throughout every region of the Land of Shadow. They’re entirely optional, but avoiding them can make exploration more difficult since they’ll pelt you with fireballs from afar if you get too close. Thankfully, there are a few ways to defeat Furnace Golems in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree.Furnace Golem Weaknesses in Elden Ring Shadow of the ErdtreeScreenshot: PC InvasionThe main weakness of Furnace Golems in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is their feet. Just like giant enemies from the base game, striking the feet of a Furnace Golem enough times will topple them and give you a chance to perform a critical h...View the full article
  5. While many Elden Ring players already know that you can duplicate your Remembrances, did you know it also works in Shadow of the Erdtree? Duplicating Remembrances allows you to obtain both rewards from them instead of just one.Remember to duplicate your boss reward Remembrances in Shadow of the ErdtreeAnytime you defeat a big boss in Elden Ring, you’re gifted a Remembrance that can transform into one of two things which can be either a *******, Ash of War, or spell. You can also consume it for a lot of Runes if you don’t like either option, but I don’t recommend doing that, especially since Miquella’s Crosses and other places like that are your main way to level up in this DLC.You only get one of the two options but players figured out a way to duplicate them in the original game. Now, players are realizing you can duplicate Remembrances in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC as well. Just make sure you know how to return to The Lands Between.Screenshot...View the full article
  6. Enlarge / Features like Image Playground won't arrive in Europe at the same time as other regions. (credit: Apple) [/url] Three major features in iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia will not be available to ********* users this fall, Apple says. They include iPhone screen mirroring on the Mac, SharePlay screen sharing, and the entire Apple Intelligence suite of generative AI features. In a statement sent to Financial Times, The Verge, and others, Apple says this decision is related to the ********* Union's Digital Markets Act (DMA). Here's the full statement, which was attributed to Apple spokesperson Fred Sainz: Two weeks ago, Apple unveiled hundreds of new features that we are excited to bring to our users around the world. We are highly motivated to make these technologies accessible to all users. However, due to the regulatory uncertainties brought about by the Digital Markets Act (DMA), we do not believe that we will be able to roll out three of these features — iPhone Mirroring, SharePlay Screen Sharing enhancements, and Apple Intelligence — to our EU users this year. Specifically, we are concerned that the interoperability requirements of the DMA could force us to compromise the integrity of our products in ways that risk user privacy and data security. We are committed to collaborating with the ********* Commission in an attempt to find a solution that would enable us to deliver these features to our EU customers without compromising their safety. It is unclear from Apple's statement precisely which aspects of the DMA may have led to this decision. It could be that Apple is concerned that it would be required to give competitors like Microsoft or Google access to user data collected for Apple Intelligence features and beyond, but we're not sure. 8. part from a wasted hour or so dabbling in Dark Souls, Elden Ring was my first soulslike, and so I think it's understandable that when I found myself standing in the muck in the middle of Caelid, my immediate reaction was, "This is *********." 9. Microsoft has just addressed ****** Myth: Wukong's delay on Xbox Series X/S, issuing a brief statement on the matter on Friday. "We’re excited for the launch of ****** Myth Wukong on Xbox Series X|S and are working with Game Science to bring the game to our platforms," a Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement, first reported by Windows Central and also obtained by IGN. "We can't comment on the deals made by our partners with other platform holders, but we remain focused on making Xbox the best platform for gamers, and great games are at the center of that." Back at The Game Awards 2023, developer Game Science announced an August 20, 2024 release date for ****** Myth: Wukong for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Earlier this month, however, its Summer Game Fest trailer omitted mention of an Xbox Series X/S version. "We are currently optimizing the Xbox Series X|S version to meet our quality standards, so it won't release simultaneously with the other platforms," the developer wrote. "We apologize for the delay and aim to minimize the wait for Xbox users. We will announce the release date as soon as it meets our quality standards." Regardless, rumors swirled that Game Science might've had an exclusivity deal with Sony, which Microsoft's statement seems to vaguely address. IGN has reached out to Sony for comment. "We can't comment on the deals made by our partners with other platform holders, but we remain focused on making Xbox the best platform for gamers. We're still waiting on an Xbox Series X/S release date, but in the meantime, IGN got to spend a couple of hours with the soulslike, which impressed IGN's Mitchell Saltzman. "It’s stunningly gorgeous, the animations are incredibly fluid, it’s steeped in rich ******** culture, and there’s just something immensely satisfying about playing as a Monkey King and beating up all sorts of mythical creatures with a giant extendable staff," he wrote in our preview. Game Science has still, though, not responded to our previous report compiling numerous sexist comments made by the studio's founders and other developers spanning the last decade.
