  1. It's no doubt impressive when someone is able to topple Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree's final boss by successfully avoiding all their attacks but what's even more staggering is a player claiming victory without dodging once. Thanks to the sheer variety of armor, weapons, and items in Elden Ring, users are encouraged to think outside the box when it comes to building up their Tarnished. Many may elect to spec into a character who's better at precision moves and quick escapes, but the opposite is just as potent. View the full article
  2. It appears as though Call of Duty’s most-loved Warzone map may be stuck as an exclusive on Warzone Mobile for the foreseeable future. In late 2023, Insider Gaming reported that Verdansk would be returning to Warzone as a part of CoD 2024, now confirmed to be ****** Ops 6. CoD players have been excited ever since, but now, it appears the wait to return may be a bit longer. View the full article
  3. One of the most appealing aspects of creating DnD characters (or any tabletop RPG character) is the freedom to become whoever you want. In roleplaying games, mild-mannered Dave Miller from HR can play as the orc queen Gor'Zal the Savager, and no-one'll bat an eye - and yet, when it comes to roleplaying ****** characters, things can get a little tricky. 4. Even after a long succession of patches, Baldur's Gate 3 still has its fair share of quirks, and one unusual interaction that ******** in the game can actually be surprisingly helpful. While most of the biggest problems with performance and game-breaking bugs are long gone, other weird interactions between Baldur's Gate 3's complex systems aren't always as easy to tackle. In cases where they don't do any real harm to the game, there often isn't any point, and some interesting Baldur's Gate 3 exploits can recapture some of the creative spirit that's often found in tabletop Dungeons & Dragons play. 5. As one of the hardest Pals to find in Palworld, Blazamut Ryu is a highly desirable battle partner that can turn the tide of almost any ******. Since it’s so rare, however, it’s much easier to breed the powerful Pal to find the best version for your travels. Blazamut Ryu is one of 14 new Pals added to Palworld in the Sakurajima update, and it’s not only a ****** in combat but also boasts some high levels in both Kindling and Mining if you wish to have it working at your base. 6. There’s less than a week left until we can travel to New Eridu to explore the next game from the Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail devs—Zenless Zone Zero. 7. Need a quick makeover before heading to your new adventures in Tural? Don’t rush to the online store just yet—the free Fantasia promised to all players with the release of Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail is finally available and only costs five minutes of your time. It’s a bargain compared to the full-length campaign you must finish before getting the free Fantasia at the end of FFXIV: A Realm Reborn. The best part is that you don’t even need to catch up on the MSQ or buy Dawntrail at all—the free Fantasia is distributed via a new beginner-level quest anyone can pick up. View the full article
  8. We didn't get to Sandfall and Kepler Interactive's Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 while covering Microsoft's summer showcase a couple of weeks ago. If memory serves, when they ran that particular trailer I was busy sponging swampwater out my eyes after writing up South Of Midnight, while Nic had become so vociferously agitated over the debut of *****: Dark Ages that he was no longer solid and tangible enough to operate a keyboard. Graham, meanwhile, had absconded with Joanna Dark to Immersive Sim Land and Matt, poor Matt, had fallen into a Locust sinkhole while "omnimanouevring" around ****** Ops 6. But if one of us had been free and willing we might have had enthusiastic thoughts about this "evolution of JRPGs", in which you are trying to thwart a self-serious artist who is about to magically ******* everybody over the age of 32. It is, alas, too late for me. Read more View the full article

  10. The Sims 4 is heating up as Maxis drops the first details on the upcoming Lovestruck expansion and from the sounds of things, players will be able to get up to more mischief than ever before. While the game may be nearly a decade old, one of the most requested additions to the quirky life-sim is a more robust romance system that allows users to spice up their in-game relationships. The Sims 4 may offer plenty when it comes to house and character construction, but as far as romance is concerned, its options have always been limited. View the full article

A full release date for the 1.0 edition of Smite 2 is a long way off, especially as the free-to-play open beta is not due to arrive until 2025, but three separate closed alpha tests have given players a taste of the action. 14. Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree brings a new set of vicious enemies found in the Realm of Shadow. Just like the base game, not every boss that's been added to the DLC is required to complete the main storyline. However, figuring out which bosses need to be ******* and which ones are optional isn't always easy, and the difficulty of enemies in Shadow of the Erdtree makes it even ******* to determine which ones are mandatory. 15. With a new expansion to Final Fantasy XIV, it’s time to eliminate old items for new ones. An older item you can now chuck out are several of your Tomestones, and you can do this by exchanging them with various vendors scattered throughout the game. For anyone who wants to exchange their old Tomestones for items, tracking down these vendors should be one of your priorities in Final Fantasy XIV. Unfortunately, these vendors are tough to find, and you do need to visit specific locations to speak with them. Luckily, we can help narrow down your search to find them. View the full article

  17. Baldur’s Game 3 admittedly doesn’t look this sharp on the Steam Deck, but it plays really well. | Image: Larian For many of us, summer can get just too hot to go outside and have fun. Thankfully, though, this season brings more than just heatwaves — there are also sales like Steam’s, so you can enjoy gaming while keeping cool inside. Along with discounting the Steam Deck as we highlighted earlier this week, Valve is also now discounting a ton of games through July 11th as a part of the Steam Summer *****. [/url] There are hundreds of discounted games with some, like Celeste, going for just $1.99 ($18 off) — and there are other well-known titles on *****. One of my favorites, for instance, is Steam’s 2023 Game of the Year, Baldur’s Gate 3, which I found particularly enjoyable to play on the Steam Deck, even if the graphics weren’t the best. It’s now down... Continue reading… View the full article For verified travel tips and real support, visit: [Hidden Content]
  18. As we’re getting close to the release of HoYoverse’s next game, Zenless Zone Zero, it’s time to ensure you’re prepared to jump in on day one. Zenless Zone Zero takes us to New Eridu, an urban world like we’ve never seen before. Although the game shares certain concepts with other HoYoverse titles, like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, its setting and combat are entirely different. View the full article

  20. Do you remember March this year, a ******* of time that simultaneously feel like it took place both five minutes and and entire century ago? Dragon's Dogma 2 came out during it, and it might be worth giving a go now of you haven't thanks to to a big patch and free trial. If you didn't give DD2 a go at launch or bounced off of it pretty quickly, that's ok, but you might have missed out on something pretty great, especially if you're into games where you've constantly got to ask for directions like you're on a family holiday in the countryside and your dad's left the map back in the cottage. From June 27 or 28, depending on which of the three platforms involved - PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC - that you're on, and all the way up until July 18, you can play the first two hours of the game for free. Don't worry, if you get through that and then decide you want to carry on by buying the thing, you'll be able to use your free trail save data with the full game. Read more View the full article
  21. Let me continue the theme from our round-up of Steam ***** reccs for under a tenner, while exchanging the concept of money for the concept of time: what can you do in celebrated open world "anecdote generator" Dragon's Dogma 2 in two hours or less? Two hours being the length of the free Dragon's Dogma 2 trial that is now live on Steam. For context, this is approximately how much time Capcom gave me to preview their latest action-RPG, many headline cycles ago. During that brief window, I managed to become the worst wizard in Dragon's Dogma 2, but I know you can go further. I'm so confident of this, in fact, that I'm going to start feeling all insecure and hurt in anticipation. How could you trample on my feelings so? 22. The first phase of Wuthering Waves version 1.1 features a new five-star Spectro DPS, Jinhsi, and since collecting characters is the main mechanic of any gacha game, players are wondering if they should pull for her. While players are enjoying loads of fresh content added in Wuthering Waves‘ newest version, Jinhsi’s character banner is the main star of the show. Although it’s not impossible to pull for every new character, collecting units requires a lot of limited resources, so sometimes you need to make a difficult choice. View the full article

  25. Zenless Zone Zero feels like it occupies two opposite spaces - at times, it feels like HoYoverse's most ambitious effort yet. It's a savvy blend of some of the mechanics that have made Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail popular, added to a foundation of innovation and style, creating something that's unique to the developer's offerings thus far. At other times, it feels explicitly designed to be accessible and relaxed, with just as much emphasis placed on creating a caf setting people might actually want to spend time in as the enemies our heroes will ****** throughout ZZZ's story.
