After a full build of the game recently leaked and has ended up offering lots of folks their first taste of the game long before they thought they'd get it, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2's developers have acknowledged what's happened, and urged people not to play the "unfinished" version. If you're out of the loop, a fully-playable version of the game popped up online recently, and has been doing the rounds to such an extent that Space Marine 2 walkthroughs are being posted to YouTube a couple of months before the game's set to actually release on September 9, which obviously isn't ideal. Developer Saber Interactive has been doing its best to limit the damage, and has now issued a formal statement on the *****. Addressing prospective Space Marine 2 players via Twitter, Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment wrote: "We are deeply touched by the overwhelming support we've received from our community following the ***** of an old build of our upcoming game, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Alien: Romulus is clearly borrowing from the original Alien films aesthetically, but director Fede Alvarez has shared another slightly funny point of inspiration. We really don't know all that much about Alien: Romulus just yet, but its first full trailer dropped last month, and at the very least the vibes are looking strong. It's obviously trying to tap into that hazy look the very first film in the series had, leaning into the movie's 70s origins, but it turns out that isn't the only place the pre-sequel is drawing from. Director Alvarez recently spoke with Total Film (via GamesRadar) about the film, where he shared that the cast and crew would narrate the Xenomorph's movements while on set. Specifically, they would mimic the way David Attenborough talks like in documentaries such as Blue Planet or Planet Earth. "It is done almost like a nature documentary," Alvarez explained of ********* the Xenomorph, which required nine puppeteers in total. "While we were seeing it on set we were joking, [like] 'The creature is coming out slow. It's looking for the scent of the mother…' The creature's not trying to be scary. The creature is trying to get the f**k out of that cocoon, that happens to be a person. It's almost like this is more realistic in a way, but without betraying all the beautiful things of the original designs." Read more View the full article

Stranger Things is finally coming to a close soon, and Netflix already has a project lined up for the Duffer Brothers to executive produce. Right now, Stranger Things is filming its fifth and final season, which will wrap up an almost 10-year-long journey that really helped put Netflix on the map (not that it wasn't already doing pretty well beforehand). Now, as reported by Deadline, Netflix has given a greenlight to a new horror series, and Stranger Things' creators the Duffer Brothers are attached to executive produce the show. This new series is being created by Hayley Z. Boston, best known for having written fellow Netflix show Brand New Cherry Flavor, and an episode of Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities, so the showrunner is no stranger to the horror genre. The show is titled Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen, which I'm assuming will cover exactly what it says on the tin. Its official logline reads: "Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen is an atmospheric horror series set at a wedding, following a bride and groom in the week leading up to their ill-fated nuptials. That’s not a spoiler - just read the title…" Weddings are generally stressful enough as it is, so to have this Romeo and Juliet-esque warning that something very bad is going to happen feels like I'm going to be on the edge of my seat right from the start (as long as it's not a load of rubbish, anyway). The project lead of massive Fallout 4 mod Fallout: London has said that the reason its developers haven't revealed its latest release date is due to them having signed non-disclosure agreements. This explanation follows the team revealing last month that it had locked in a new internal release date for the mod, after a delay neccessitated by the arrival of Fallout 4's next-gen update forced it to abandon its planned release date of April 23. Though, this time around, unlike the previous ones the modders had pencilled in for their creation, the exact date of the intended release wasn't made public. Now, in an interview with The Metro, Fallout: London project lead Dean 'Prilladog' Carter has provided more information on the reason for this change in the handling of release dates for the mod as the team's navigated "a bit of a nightmare in terms of trying to release" due to the next-gen update's arrival. When Clickolding - a vaguely Inscryption-y sub-hour dread droplet - opens, you’re sitting on a bed across from a man wearing a mask that looks like someone gave up halfway through carving an Easter Island statue of Joe Camel, stuck a pair of googly eyes on it, then went to cry in the corner at what they’d created. In your hand is a clicker counter. Moose-face stares. What do those eyes convey? Patience? Intent? Longing? If nothing else, they betray a deep certainty that whatever else happens, you’re going to click. If you stop clicking for a moment, a prompt appears in the corner telling you the controls. At least, I think it's a prompt, because it might actually be a threat. Left click to click. He'd like you to click 1000 times, please. Read more View the full article

Blizzard intended the World of Warcraft Season of Discovery to reinvigorate a passion for Classic while changing the formula. Unfortunately, this revamp has not been kind to the Warlock class. What started as a simple rant post on Reddit quickly turned into a venting station for frustrated WoW SoD players who ended up playing as a Warlock. While there are many reasons why players are frustrated with the class, the main reason seems to be how Warlocks acquire the Felguard Rune, an item that teaches you how to summon a Felguard companion.
