  1. It's only September, but Enotria: The Last Song has got me thinking about the end-of-year PCGamesN awards. More specifically, I'm thinking about our award for Best 7/10. This hallowed category has seen Metal Hellsinger, Outriders, and Marvel's Avengers receive a certain eminence that Elden Ring, **** of War, and Baldur's Gate 3 could never hope to achieve. With enough time, money, and talent, any studio can strive for perfection - and if all those unruly stars align, it might even come close enough to touch. The line between unlikely success and abject ******** is arguably more difficult to walk. Enotria: The Last Song dances on it with wanton abandon. Read the rest of the story... View the full article

  4. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 isn't that difficult of a game. It's mostly power fantasy, handing you a giant chainsword and a ridiculous horde of bugs to tear through. ***** up a Nintendo Ring Fit, however, and it goes from guts and glory to one helluva workout. View the full article

  6. A lot of people that jumped on the Dungeons & Dragons bandwagon quite recently may not know that it wasn't Larian Studios that invented the city of Baldur's Gate. It's arguably one of the most iconic locations in the Forgotten Realms, though Baldur's Gate 3 is probably the best look we've ever had of it outside of standard D&D campaigns. View the full article
  7. After a miraculous reverse sweep in yesterday’s semifinal and almost a year to the day since their ******* VALORANT Champions Tour Ascension bid, you’d think the scriptwriters had M80 penned for redemption against 2Game. Unfortunately for the North ********* roster, it wouldn’t be their day—again. Brazilian underdogs 2GAME will instead earn the coveted VCT 2025 Americas slot after a narrow 3-2 grand final victory at the Ascension tournament yesterday. M80 was up 2-1 in the final and were one solid Haven away from tasting top-flight VALORANT next season, but the Brazilian squad rallied to take the fourth and fifth map with relative ease, consigning the North ********* team to another year in the Challenger circuit. 18. The long-awaited PC release of **** of War: Ragnarok has finally come; however, it seems that hype has ***** off at the eleventh hour and players aren’t eager to hop on, with the game’s player count at launch falling significantly below its predecessor—likely due to the criticized PlayStation Network account requirement. Compared to the first title, which saw some 71,000 concurrent players during its heyday, Ragnarok has managed to draw in only 31,000 according to SteamDB—a sharp drop of about 60 percent. While sequels often don’t meet the expectations set by their predecessors, this much of a dip might have something to do with a broader issue, namely Sony’s PSN account requirement the company is so adamant about attaching to its titles. One would think that following the damaging effect the requirement had on Ghost of Tsushima and Helldivers 2, Sony would relent—but alas, here we are. View the full article
  19. Douyin is arguably one of the more difficult themes in Dress to Impress, so you might not know where to start if it pops up as the category of your next fashion show. Douyin is generally described as the ******** version of TikTok, and like our popular short-form video app, it helps spread all kinds of trends in fashion and more. I usually associate the term “Douyin” with makeup involving spiky eyelashes, sparkly eyeshadows, and pigmented blush, but it also extends to pretty and trendy outfit styles that started in China. 24. Among the countless keys in Escape from Tarkov, few are as valuable as the game’s heralded Red Keycard for the TerraGroup The Lab map. Getting into Tarkov’s map The Lab is already relatively difficult since you can only access the map with a certain keycard. 25. The Danger Barricade cosmetic in Rust, launched in the weekly community item store, has undergone forced changes after a major exploit had players crying pay-to-win. Those who bought the skin, however, are demanding refunds from the developer after purchasing the now-changed barricade as they intended to ****** the exploit. Unlike the existing concrete Barricade skins in Rust, the Danger Barricade’s creator Kelmolegendwas designed it so that there was a transparent part in its structure. The Danger Barricade consisted of three wooden posts with a slight gap between them. You can’t ****** between the gap of the barricade as it only gives vision—but one player was quick to find an exploit when putting two of the barricades together. View the full article
