  1. The Regulation H ruleset was just announced for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Ranked Battles, and VGC players were pleasantly surprised to learn what’s in store for the metagame. From Sept. 1 to Jan. 5, 2025, Regulation H will take over Scarlet and Violet Ranked Battles, removing all Legendary Pokémon and Paradox Pokémon. This will no doubt cause a huge shift in the meta since many Legendary and Paradox ‘mons have been dominating Regulation G. Urshifu, Calyrex, Miraidon, Raging Bolt, and Iron Hands, for example, are some of the most popular ‘mons right now—and they’ll all be banned once Reg H begins. View the full article
  2. Diablo 4 Season Four was hailed as the best season so far, and now the Blizzard developers have flagged with players that Season Five, especially all its new inclusions and changes, will be even better and shouldn’t be missed when it goes live. Diablo 4 Season Five is slated to be the final season before the action RPG’s first expansion, Vessel of Hatred, drops in early October. Because of this, Season of the Infernal Hordes is expected to bring many incredible updates and new features—so much so that even the Diablo devs are warning players they won’t want to skip this update. 3. Navigating the sprawling world of Once Human has always been a challenge, but the latest patch promises to turn that frustration into smooth sailing. Released on August 1, this update might not be revolutionary, but it’s packed with tweaks that will make your journey across this post-apocalyptic world much more enjoyable. One of the most notable improvements addresses a major pain point: Map navigation. Previously, players encountered issues where the map either ******* to display routes or was downright unresponsive. Those are now a thing of the past. The map has been revamped to show clearer directions and more information when interacting with icons. This should help you find your way with less hassle and more precision. View the full article
  4. Minecraft has always been a game of endless possibilities, constantly expanding its universe with new mobs, biomes, and objects. From cherry groves to camels and bees, the game has nearly everything you could imagine. But one feature players have been requesting since Minecraft Alpha’s early days in 2010 is volcanoes. The wait for these explosive geographical features may soon be over though. On July 31, Minecraft’s official X (formerly Twitter) account shared an intriguing image of a map that immediately sparked discussions across the game’s community. The image names several biomes not currently in the game, most notably a volcano, leaving fans speculating about whether a long-waited update may finally be here. View the full article

  13. Regulation H was just announced for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Ranked Battles, and in a shocking twist, it will not expand the pool of Pokémon to choose from. Since the beginning of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Ranked Battles, more Pokémon have been gradually added to the meta with each regulation. For example, Regulation B gave us Paradox ‘mons like Flutter Mane and Iron Hands, while Reg G threw in restricted Legendaries like Miraidon and Calyrex. Regulation H, however, does not follow this trend and instead does something very unexpected to shake up the meta. View the full article

  15. Having played through the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, returning to the base game was something of a disappointment for me. Shadow of the Erdtree expands the award-winning RPG by FromSoftware significantly, adding an entirely new map, as well as dungeons, challenges, and, of course, new bosses to face. Upon release, the DLC was met with appraise from critics and players alike, even if there were mentions that its contents were exceedingly challenging something that I did not agree with, despite the acknowledgment that it did, indeed, feel tougher than the base game itself. Love it or hate it, one of the most iconic parts of the classic Resident Evil games is the fixed camera so fans looking for a nostalgia trip before the ninth game drops should check out this new Half-Life 2 mod. Modern iterations of Capcom's ever-popular survival-horror series have ditched the fixed perspective, instead opting for a first-person view in the new entries and an over-the-shoulder camera in recent remakes. 22. Although there are plenty of fearsome enemies in Once Human, one of the most terrifying foes you’ll face is the Shadow Hound, a powerful creature wielding several attacks that can decimate anyone who isn’t completely prepared to ******. To take down the Shadow Hound, you’ll need a ton of ammunition at your disposal since it can soak up a ton of damage from different types of weapons, while still being nimble and quick on your feet.
