There's a big update out for the Nvidia App, and while the GPU driver program is still in beta, the company is finally planning to release it to the wider public later this year. That means the GeForce Experience app will soon be consigned to history; with these new features, now might be time to make the switch. Square Enix is temporarily suspending the auto-demolition of houses in Final Fantasy XIV in the wake of Hurricane Helene, which devastated several states in September. The developer wrote in a post on Lodestone, "From all of us on the FFXIV development and management team, our hearts go out to those who were affected late last month by Hurricane Helene in North America. Due to the damages and other factors, we have decided to temporarily suspend the automatic demolition of estates." Housing demolition is an automatic process in Final Fantasy XIV, and will happen if you don't set foot in your house for at least 45 days. The idea is to give other players a chance to claim the parcel of land, which is a hot commodity in Eorzea. Indeed, housing is one of Final Fantasy XIV's most popular features. According to Square Enix's post, demolition was suspended in the Primal, Dynamis, Crystal, and Aether Data Center early on October 2. When auto-demolition starts up again, it will resume from the time remaining when the pause took place. Players with estates scheduled to be demolished can cancel it by entering their housing or building on their land. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 developer Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Entertainment have issued a warning to toxic players, saying they really do not want to find themselves insulting Henry Cavill. As revealed last month, Warhammer 40,000 superfan Henry Cavill is very much enjoying Space Marine 2. In an Instagram post, the Superman and Witcher star praised the developers at Saber for the action game set in Games Workshop’s grimdark universe, although revealed he ******* to complete the campaign solo on the Angel of ****** difficulty, which is the hardest of the four difficulties available. /www.instagram.com/p/DAQkdyno98l/embed As we can see from the photo above, Cavill was smart enough to paste over his username with the word “nope.” Yes, that means you could be playing with or against Henry Cavill in Space Marine 2 PvP and you’d never know it. Riffing on this in their warning to toxic Space Marine 2 players, Saber and Focus said you never know who you might be insulting in-game — it could even be Henry Cavill himself. “Be loyal to the cause, be respectful,” reads the statement. “It has been reported that some players were displaying hurtful behaviors or comments in-game. We do not tolerate that and will take action to prevent it. “First and foremost, we kindly ask you to remain respectful, mature and mannerly with your fellow Space Marines. You can never know how old the other players may be, how their day is going, how sensitive they may be... overall, you never know who your brothers and sisters are... Elsewhere, Focus revealed the hotly anticipated new PvE Operations map coming to Space Marine 2 as part of Season 2. It’s located on one of the existing planets, Kadaku, and sees the Space Marines once again ****** against the Tyranids. The new Operation arrives in October. Saber recently released Space Marine 2’s game-changing patch 3.0, which made a seemingly innocuous change to the game’s ending that got Warhammer 40,000 fans excited. Fans have also unearthed interesting and unannounced Space Marine 2 cosmetics by datamining the game. Meanwhile, IGN interviewed Saber Chief Creative Officer Tim Willits about Space Marine 2’s record-breaking success. He told us about the boost he expects the PS5 Pro will give Space Marine 2, how the breakout success of Space Marine 2 has “changed everything” for the studio, and how protective Games Workshop is over the Warhammer 40,000 brand. New Natlan map areas in Genshin Impact have leaked and Im convinced that the final hidden zone is actually the most important in the Nation of Pyro. The first few zones of Natlan were introduced to HoYoverses action RPG with Version 5.0. Within it, players gained access to Tequemecan Valley, Basin of Unnumbered Flames, Coatepec Mountain, and Toyac Springs. These zones represent a large portion of the Nation of Pyro, though Natlans map size in Genshin Impact is expected to increase in future updates as the story therein progresses further. Following its technical preview in July, Fluid Motion Frames 2 (AFMF 2) is now widely available after being released on Tuesday alongside its supporting Adrenalin 24.9.1 GPU driver. AFMF is a frame generation technology similar to Nvidia’s DLSS Frame Generation but operates on the driver level instead of game-specific integration. The second-gen AFMF update can be enabled in OpenGL, Vulkan, DirectX 11, or DirectX 12 games — meaning FPS can now be improved in titles that don’t support FSR and DLSS — and currently works on AMD Radeon RX 6000, RX 7000, 700M, and 800M GPUs. ... One blemish on Throne and Liberty’s barnstorming release – one day in and it’s so far up the Steam charts it’s only visible by telescope – has been some unexpected Steam Deck trouble. Despite the fantasy MMORPG having worked fine on the Deck in previous betas, a celebrating Amazon employee must have drunkenly nudged the 'Break game on Linux' lever at the office launch party, as reports began trickling in of handheld players being kicked from servers. The cause: Easy Anti-Cheat, Throne and Liberty’s hacker thwarter of choice, declaring an error. Fortunately, as of right now (October 2nd), all seems well again – I’ve got Throne and Liberty running on a Steam Deck OLED as I type this, and can mosey around next to fellow online players without issues.
