  1. The Freedom’s Flame Warbond adds multiple new weapons to Helldivers 2, only one of which isn’t a flamethrower—SG-451 Cookout. Here’s everything you need to know about SG-451 Cookout and whether it’s worth unlocking. How to unlock SG-451 Cookout worth it in Helldivers 2 Paint it red. Screenshot by Dot Esports The SG-451 Cookout is available in Helldivers 2 as a part of the Freedom’s Flame premium Warbond, which means you have to spend 1,000 Super Credits on the Warbond first. You can buy Super Credits for around $10 or farm them in missions. View the full article
  2. In 2022, Squanch Games released High on Life, a comedy-packed first-person shooter where your guns talk to you. The game was loosely inspired by Rick and Morty, and soon, it’s getting its own animated series adaptation. Emmy winner J.B. Smoove is reported to produce the series, according to Deadline. It’s apparently being developed by Squanch Games (co-founded by Justin Roiland, who also co-created Rick and Morty), Striker Entertainment, and Alternate Side Productions, Smoove’s production company. The latter will be responsible for creating the animated series, while the game’s developers and Striker Entertainment’s Mandy Bardisbanian and Russell Binder are executive producers. 3. This might surprise you, but Fallout: London - the big Fallout 4 mod - is proving pretty popular among Fallout modders who aren’t part of Team FOLON. Some of the ******* New Vegas fans among them have even started bringing that game’s faction rep and disguise systems to Blighty. To be fair, some of them have already done the obvious things mod-wise, such as offering you a cure for your character’s crippling dog food addiction, and it looks like they’ll have to wait a little while to be able to enjoy Fallout: London’s cut Wild Card main quest arc, so let em have some fun in the meantime. ‘Faction Reputation and Disguise System’ by Invatorzen looks to be the most comprehensive attempt so far at allowing you to officially have it confirmed that you’re the most vilified individual in London, rather than just knowing so because every NPC won’t stop ********* at you. 4. The Fallout: London mod has only been out for two weeks, but it’s been plagued by bugs since its launch. Fortunately, developer Team FOLON has announced a major patch that should fix many issues—but it won’t arrive until hotfixes have been rolled out. On Aug. 6, on Team FOLON’s Discord, the development team addressed the community and the numerous issues that have been reported since Fallout: London‘s release on July 25. The developer promised a bunch of hotfixes and a massive patch, though, no release date for either was revealed. View the full article
  5. While it's not a revolutionary case, the new NZXT H7 Flow RGB (2024) makes a significant tweak to the original model released two years ago, with a vertical PSU mount. This means the main chamber now has loads of room for water-cooling radiators, large graphics cards, and CPU coolers, in a surprisingly small footprint. The $150 RGB model also includes a 360mm fan frame with three 120mm fans embedded in it, which looks great with RGB lighting shining through the front mesh panel. This market is crowded when it comes to finding the best PC case options between $100 and $150, but NZXT has done an excellent job in making the H7 Flow RGB (2024) distinctive and attractive enough to stand out from the crowd. It sits atop front and rear ledges to raise its lower flush fan mount off your desk, and the clear side panel nearly spans from top to bottom. The interior also looks particularly clean, thanks to the exterior panels acting as dust filters, which further boosts this case's support for large radiators. If you want to water cool your PC with multiple radiators, or just use a large AIO cooler or air cooler for your CPU, there's massive potential here for both camps, and I'll be looking at how well its three included 120mm fans perform. This case's features focus on making it as easy as possible to build a gaming PC, including providing tool-free panels, as you'd expect from a premium PC case. The vertical PSU mount makes a profound difference compared to the original H7 Flow as well, releasing the whole of the base for fans and radiators in a similar way to a dual chamber case, but without the massive footprint. 7. It's no secret that Warner Bros. Discovery has been one of the most headache-inducing results of a massive merger in recent times (and the competition is fierce in that arena). From completely shelving essentially finished movies for tax write-offs to drunkenly re-branding HBO Max into just Max, it's been rough in there, and now it turns out the once-blooming TV business under David Zaslav's ruthless guidance is taking a massive hit as well. I may not be great with numbers and market laws and whatnot (I wouldn't be rambling about pop culture online if I was), but I can tell when something's objectively cooked and executives are just BSing their way through generic and/or empty statements to try to maintain peace amongst hungry shareholders and investors, and the folks at Warner Bros. Discovery have been doing that bit for a while now. It's something you simply pick up after a while. Via IndieWire, it's been revealed WB Discovery's TV business, which used to be a rock-solid foundation for everything else, is actually worth "$9.1 billion less than it originally thought, leading to a net loss of $10 billion in the second quarter of 2024." This ***** comes after general disappointment with WB Games' recent financial performance, aggressive job cuts, and Zaslav gifting himself pats on the back and more bonuses instead of being booed off the company and into a *****. 9. I’d initially assumed that puzzle game Sliding Hero counts was a Sokoban-like, until I realised that it’s actually you, not endless boxes, that do the sliding here. Still, I wasn’t entirely convinced. The only thing that’s fun to slide back-and-forth indefinitely is a lounging cat on a smooth kitchen worktop. Still, after messing around with Sliding Hero’s Steam demo, I think this one might have much longer legs than its restrictive-sounding concept suggests. All the better to endlessly slide with. 13. The Five Nights at Freddy's franchise is no stranger to successful spinoffs but its latest one might just be the best yet. Known for terrifying jump scares and lore that's significantly more complex than many may initially believe, the saga of Freddy Fazbear and his animatronic allies has become an icon of the video game industry and it's not showing any signs of slowing down. Its latest game, which adopts a new format and presentation, is starkly different from other entries in the series but that's not stopping the hype. View the full article

  19. Following the ******* balancing changes that arrived alongside Helldivers 2’s Escalation of Freedom earlier this week, a pretty big backlash from players to some ***** damage nerfs has ensued, and, well, it’s now led the game’s recent Steam reviews to dip from “mostly positive” to “mixed”. Arrowhead, to be fair, definitely hasn’t responded to the criticism from folks who think the tweaks to *****-based weaponry has made the game less fun in a fashion they’ve previously indicated they’re not fans of by burying its head in the sand. First, if you take a look at the game’s Steam page, while its overall reviews are still mostly positive, the recent ones are now mixed, thanks to over 2,000 fresh negative ones having rolled in since August 6.
