  1. Sunderfolk is a fresh take on turn-based tactical RPGs that draws heavy inspiration from tabletop gaming, streamlining many of the mediums concepts digitally to make them more accessible. It comes from publisher Dreamhaven - a company created by Blizzard co-founder Mike Morhaime - and its in-house studio Secret Door, which boasts a staff of former developers from companies like Riot and Blizzard. Taking place in an entirely-underground fantasy world, the game will take players on a journey across the Sunderland through over 30 missions as they work to keep the village of Arden and its magical Brightstone safe from harm.   2. The Steam version of Concord is still being updated despite the fact that the game shut down over a month ago. When Sony first revealed Concord earlier this year, the game was met with apathy from the community. Sony is best known for its blockbuster single-player experiences, and so many fans were disappointed when Concord was unveiled as a live-service, multiplayer-only hero-shooter game.   3. Well, the latest Steam Next Fest event is set to arrive next week, meaning things are going to be rather hectic, and as such, everyone included is doing everything to get their demos noticed. This includes The Arcade Crew and French developers Assoupi, who have now announced that a demo of their upcoming platformer, MainFrames, will be available during the event. First announced a couple of months ago back in August, the game is now preparing to show off its cozy, quirky, computer-themed action to the public, even preparing a little tounge-in-cheek trailer to try and build up a little hype, as seen below.   4. Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles is getting a re-release on consoles and PC next year, courtesy of Aspyr. The 2000 game, which was originally released on the PS1 before coming to Dreamcast later that year, is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PS5 and Steam on January 23, 2025 at a price of $19.99 / £15.99. The original game featured five playable characters with up to four unlockable ones (depending on format), but the new re-release promises “13 newly unlocked playable characters” which Aspyr says are “beyond the original line-up”, including the Rifle Droid, Staff Tusken Raider, Ishi Tib and Weequay.   23. 2025 is shaping up to be a great year for the Little Nightmares franchise. Not only is this unique horror adventure series returning for a third game thanks to developer Supermassive Games, it's also getting a comic book spinoff. IGN can exclusively reveal the first details about Little Nightmares: Descent to Nowhere, a collaboration between Titan Comics and Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe. First, check out the cover art for the first issue below: Little Nightmares: Descent to Nowhere is written by Lonnie Nadler (Cable) and illustrated by Dennis Menheere (Etheres), with Damien Worm providing the cover art to issue #1. Nadler is no stranger to the Little Nightmares franchise, as he also serves as the showrunner and lead writer on the scripted podcast series The Sound of Nightmares. Descent to Nowhere tells a new story set in this horror universe, offering a mystery that spans both the nightmarish realm known as the Nowhere and the Counties. The series will span four issues in total. “It’s been an incredible journey to distill Little Nightmares into the comic medium; Lonnie and Dennis have packed each panel with depth and deeper meaning, for a twisting mystery that’ll leave you haunted and yearning for the next issue.” said editor Phoebe Hedges in a statement.
