  1. Take-Two Interactive, the parent of GTA dev Rockstar, lists its future releases in the company's latest quarterly report, including GTA VI. The release date of fall of 2025 is unchanged, as are the platforms it will be available on at launch: PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Read Entire Article View the full article
  2. Fanatical are quickly becoming one of my favourite stores, as they pretty much seem to always have a good deal going on something and their bundles have been great lately too. 3. To address ongoing cheating issues, Call of Duty developers have introduced a new update for Warzone and Modern Warfare 3. This update includes measures to identify and remove cheaters from Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 matches before they start, reflecting the developers' commitment to improving gameplay. 4. The indie soulslike is always a risky venture. Often, it's down to budgetary constraints and not a developer's lack of ability, and Trialforge Studios debut Deathbound is an ambitious and artful swing that doesnt whiff the pitch. Publisher Tate Multimedia has already shipped a few energetically offbeat genre attempts, many of which similarly miss the mark of greatness. In Deathbound, some clever variations on soulslike themes and a dark narrative are ultimately held back by inelegant mechanical details, but it ******** a fun game for those with the patience for its flubs. 5. The Fatui Harbingers have a major role in Genshin Impact’s story. Natlan is approaching fast, and naturally, potential leaks are surfacing online about the playable Fatui Harbinger in Natlan. Unfortunately for many fans, according to a recent *****, it isn’t Capitano. A potential ***** shared in an Aug. 9 Reddit post suggests the playable Fatui Harbinger in Natlan is Columbina, not Capitano. Although Capitano appeared in Genshin Impact‘s Natlan trailer, and many expected him to be playable, it seems Columbina will make her debut in the upcoming Pyro nation instead, since she’s already in the game files. 6. Just a day after we spilled the beans on our time with the latest preview build, publisher Focus Entertainment has dropped a brand new Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 trailer, with four and a half minutes showcasing the Operations co-op PVE multiplayer, and three precious minutes of footage from the (as yet mysterious) 'Eternal War' player-versus-player mode. 8. The DnD 2024 Sorcerer naturally inherited their magical abilities, thanks to anything from ancestry to freak accidents. This means that, unlike other spellcasters, the Sorcerer 5e can warp spells to their own benefit, often with explosive results. This guide explains the rules for the hugely flexible (and potentially complex) Dungeons and Dragons Sorcerer class. If you'd like to see what the Sorcerer 5e was like in the 2014 rules, head to our linked guide. Or, to compare with other player options, here's everything you need to know about all DnD classes. 9. Season five introduced a bunch of new Unique items to Diablo 4, including the Shard of Verathiel. Stick with us and we’ll tell you how to earn this item. The Shard of Verathiel is a Unique ******* in Diablo 4 that can be used by any class and provides a huge boost to Basic Skills. 10. New seasonal content in Diablo 4 often provides new items and materials to gather. In season five, one of them is Abyssal Scrolls. We’ll tell you exactly how to get them. Abyssal Scrolls are required to increase the tier of Infernal Compasses, which you can use to access the new Infernal Hordes mode. Similarly to Nightmare Dungeons, a higher tier means a tougher challenge but better rewards. View the full article
  11. Yesterday, Nic took James and I on a tour of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2's co-op campaign. A merry old time was had, romping through fortress cities like a small herd of crusader buffalo, using the game's absurd jetpack functionality to pancake invading Tyranids, and getting our screens so slathered in gore we couldn't work out who was ******** what. It looks like the gargantuan action game's PvP multiplayer will be even messier. Saber and Focus Home have released an extended trailer that walks you through two major modes - the PvE boss and wave-slaying frenzy of Operations, and the 12-player PvP carnage of Eternal War, which spans a range of match types. The ecstasy of dying for the Emperor aside, both give me frightful flashbacks to the early days of Gears Of War. Read more View the full article
  12. The new **** Of War duology has my favourite snow in gaming. I can take or leave about 60% of everything else in them, but lawdy, that snow! In **** Of War Ragnarok, the action kicks off a during the apocalyptic fimbulwinter, which is probably bad for some characters I don’t care about, but it is good for me personally, because there’s a lot of snow to play with. How much snow, you ask? 190 flippin’ gigs worth, apparently, according to Sony’s system requirements. Read more View the full article
  13. Anthem taught Bioware that it should play to its strengths, according to Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s creative director. In a new interview with Edge magazine (via 80 Level), John Epler explained that while he was happy with many aspects of Anthem, he feels that making an online multiplayer game wasn’t playing to Bioware’s strengths. “We’re a studio that has always been built around digging deep on storytelling and roleplaying,” Epler explained. 15. The Solstice event is back in Destiny 2, and alongside new armor and weapons, it also bears annoying bugs. One of the bugs requires you to add Kindling to Sunlit Armor via an annoying notification. Kindling and Sunlit Armor are from last year’s Destiny 2 Solstice event, and they don’t exist in the 2024 version. This year’s armor is the Sublime Armor, while Kindling is replaced with Incandescence. The Sublime Armor also doesn’t have any custom mod slots, unlike the Sunlit Armor. View the full article

  17. Career Mode in EA FC 25 is receiving some big changes to improve the often overlooked game mode, and it turns out there has been some surprising inspiration for the title. Career Mode in the EA Sports title has felt stagnant in recent years, with most of the attention going to the money-spinning Ultimate Team, but World of Warcraft and similar titles have inspired some significant changes in EA FC 25. 18. The Borderlands movie hasn’t set the world alight with early reviews, but fans of the franchise are still likely to tune in. As with any new film, though, a big question is whether it has a post-credits scene—and we can tell you. Marvel’s Cinematic Universe started the trend of post-credits scenes, often providing huge reveals of future titles, and many others have followed suit. They’re not always big teases, however, and are sometimes just jokes or *******-in-cheek comments. View the full article
  19. Thanks to a massive new intel drop, we now know a lot more about ****** Ops 6 Zombies than we expected at this point in the year. The co-op mode looks to be an overhaul to many of the underlying systems, but it’s also keeping a few classic features intact. Easter egg hunts; essentially hidden quests players have to figure out how to finish on their own, have been a staple of Zombies for years. Their obtuse nature, however, made them off limits to most casual players. While past Zombies iterations have toyed around with different ideas to try and bring new players into that part of the game to varying degrees of success, ****** Ops 6 may have a best-of-both-worlds solution. 20. Paying for mods. If you’ve ever said those three words to anyone who plays games or makes mods for them, odds are you got a pretty strongly held opinion in response, or at least an acknowledgment that - as many Facebook relationship statuses say - it’s complicated. With Bethesda’s latest attempt at creating a system designed to facilitate such a thing having proven pretty much as polarising as its predecessors, we recently asked Dean ‘Prilladog’ Carter, project manager of the massive and free Fallout 4 mod Fallout: London, how he views the current state of play when it comes to whether mods are paid, or remain free to play. “I wish they would just choose something,” Carter said when I brought up Bethesda’s Creations in the interview, which also featured chat about the cut quest line that’ll be arriving in a future update and how both John Bercow and Neil Newbon ended up starring in it. 21. Flight Simulator 2024 may seem like a game with a niche audience that won’t stand out to you, but that should change because it sounds absolutely incredible. Landing four years after its predecessor, Flight Simulator 2024 is kicking things up a notch with uber-realistic environments. Though that isn’t new to the franchise, exiting the plane and exploring areas likened to a “first-person shooter” certainly is—and it’s resulted in Flight Simulator 2024 surging up my list of the most anticipated titles coming this year. 22. Treyarch has officially unveiled ****** Ops 6 Zombies, the highly-anticipated return to the round-based, zombie-slaying action Call of Duty has been missing for several years. This is more than just a new episode of Zombies, however, it’s a fresh start in a number of ways. While the story itself may be a continuation of the Dark Aether timeline from ****** Ops Cold War, a lot of the gameplay, quality of life, and behind-the-scenes tweaks are entirely new, and should make for a rewarding experience for veterans and newcomers alike. 23. The upcoming remaster of ***** Rising will no longer have the ‘Erotica’ photo feature. In the original ***** Rising, the player can use a camera to take photos of the action in front of them.
