This week, Fortnite players got their first glimpse at something never seen in the game before: nipples. Specifically, Homer Simpsons' nipples. And big ones too, at that. Yes, an upcoming Fortnite model will feature a giant-sized version of Homer wearing just his underpants, with everything else (including his nipples) on show. Why is this such a big deal to Fortnite's faithful? Well, it's because the game has refused to depict any kind of ******* previously. While never publicly stated, Fortnite developer Epic Games has seemingly mandated that its battle royale should be nipple-less. The apparent rule was first discussed among fans all the way back in 2019, when the game's high-profile Travis Scott concert (and his purchasable in-game skin) both showed the rapper with a smooth, ****-free chest. Since then, numerous Fortnite-original characters and a whole parade of other famous figures have appeared in the game shirtless, but also nipple-less. A non-exhaustive list includes God of War's Kratos, Avatar: The Last Airbender's Aang, WWE's John Cena, Dragonball Z's Goku, and Marvel superheroes such as Drax and The Hulk. What happened to his nipples. byu/1234ppt inFortNiteBR .reddit-embed-wrapper iframe { margin-left: 0 !important; } IGN has often asked Epic Games if it would like to comment on the lack of nipples in Fortnite, but has never received an official, on-the-record response. Curiously, we've noted that Fortnite's nipple-free decree also extends to Fortnite's third-party modes. Earlier this year, Philips launched Body Royale, a promotional mode designed to highlight its latest OneBlade shaver. On Philips' website, photos for the product depict its use across all types of body hair, by male models who definitely have nipples in real life. But within Fortnite, in Body Royale, the action plays out against the backdrop of an in-game model who is distinctly nipple-less. Did Philips have to remove the nipples at Epic Games' request, in order to get this experience in the game? (Philips has also not responded to IGN's requests for comment.) Now, Homer Simpson looks set to change all of that. But why? Is there something about Homer's design that allows his nipples — nothing more than a pair of ****** dots — on his animated body? It seems unlikely — other cel-shaded characters have still been nipple-less before. Does The Simpsons come with its own set of brand rules that require nipples and supercede Epic Games' own? Or perhaps there's something specific here about the fact that nearly-naked Homer's in-game appearance has to match up with the same design shown in The Simpsons' accompanying Fortnite crossover Disney+ shorts. Alternatively, fans say, this could all point to something of a wider policy change within Epic Games. As Fortnite shifts to its new Chapter Seven era and collaborates with Quentin Tarantino, perhaps now is the time to ease this particular restriction. After nipples, what's next? If Epic Games ever acknowledges this, we'll let you know. Tom Phillips is IGN's News Editor. Dispatch is proof that the Telltale Games formula fits the modern communal TV era like a glove. The superhero choice-driven story by AdHoc Studios, a team formed primarily by ex-Telltale Games devs, has quickly gained notoriety and a large following around its episodic format. Debuting on October 22, AdHoc released two new episodes every Wednesday, with the season culminating on November 12. It went out to sell over 1 million copies in the first 10 days, reawakening a dormant interest in the format. Studios like Dontnod Entertainment have continued to iterate on episodic releases with the Life is Strange series and this year’s Lost Records: Bloom and Rage. The appeal of Dispatch, however, is in catering directly to the modern TV show daze, and the communal FOMO that leads to people wanting to take part in the conversation of the latest popular release. You're eager to get the third Crystal Key so you can save Wishblossom Ranch, but Tigger is only concerned with fun and isn't making it easy in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Luckily, engaging in his antics helps you obtain this item through the Fun! Fun! Fun! quest. In this mission, Tigger has quite an array of goofy games for you to play. The grand prize is the Crystal Key you need, so here's how to complete Fun! Fun! Fun! in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Table of contentsHow to complete Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun! in Disney Dreamlight Valley Screenshot by Destructoid To complete the Fun! Fun! Fun! quest, you need to gain entry into Pixie Flats and complete Tigger's games to claim the Crystal Key. This is one of the tougher missions you'll encounter in Wishblossom Ranch, as there are many tricky aspects involved in Tigger's games. Here's a full breakdown of how to get it done. Follow Tigger toward Pixie Flats to see what he wished for Tigger's got something to show you, so follow him over to the entrance to the Pixie Flats region in Pixie Acres. If you lose sight of him along the way, make your way over to the upper north end of Sundae Shores to reconnect. He'll stop by the word "Stop" blocking the path forward. Ask Tigger about Stop Once you've met up with Tigger by the entrance to Pixie Flats, interact with him to chat about the "Stop" blockades preventing you from exploring the region. Luckily, Tigger knows exactly what you need to break them. Explore Pixie Acres to gather Stop-breaking potion ingredients for Tigger Screenshot by Destructoid There are four unique items you need to find for Tigger, all of which can be gathered from around Pixie Acres. The items you need to find for the next step of this quest are: 12 Grassy Ore – Can be obtained by mining rock nodes around Pixie Acres, including in the Hundred-Acre Fields, Sundae Shores, Pixie Flats, and Hunny Falls areas. Four Pixie Dust – Can be found all throughout the entire Wishblossom Ranch world. There are many ways to get it, including jumping over Dead Wishblossoms and mining. Four Honey Coral – Can be obtained while fishing out of white ripple spots throughout Pixie Acres, including in Hundred-Acre Fields, Sundae Shores, Pixie Flats, and Hunny Falls.Four Fairy Sprinkles – Can be found growing in the wild throughout Pixie Acres, including in Hundred-Acre Fields, Sundae Shores, Pixie Flats, and Hunny Falls. Once you have all of the required items, bring them back to Tigger near the Pixie Flats entrance. Use your even more powerful Pickaxe to break the Stop barrier Tigger's trusty new potion is now applied to your Royal Pickaxe, so equip it and swing at the two Stop barriers to break the words down. As soon as you do, the Pixie Flats region will be unlocked so you can follow Tigger inside to see what he wished for. Chat with him once he stops walking. Win enough tickets to claim the Crystal Key Screenshot by Destructoid Tigger has led you right to the Crystal Key you need, but to claim it, you first need to earn 10 tickets from the games he's set up. At this point, the quest branches off into three mini missions under the overarching Fun! Fun! Fun! quest, as you have a few game-specific tasks to tackle. How to complete Test Your Strength in Disney Dreamlight Valley First up is the Test Your Strength mission. From where Tigger is standing, head right and walk over to the back wall, through the massive horseshoe arch. Here you'll find a Strength-Testing Flower. As soon as you get close to it, you'll notice it's incomplete, so head back to Tigger to chat about this issue. Find the missing bell The Strength-Testing Flower is missing a bell, so your next task is to find the missing bell, which Tigger says is near some tall, white, puffy dandelions. You can find the bell you need near the bottom left corner of the Pixie Flats region, close to a Blueprint you can build. Once you have the bell, head back to the Strength-Testing Flower and interact with it to place the bell back where it belongs. Screenshot by Destructoid Use your Pickaxe to hit the mark on the Strength-Testing Flower Equip your Royal Pickaxe and approach the Strength-Testing Flower. Swing at the base of it to test your strength. Then, head back over to the area where Tigger is standing. Interact with the ticket-dispensing machine near the stalls to claim your prize, thus completing the mini Test Your Strength mission. How to complete Catch the Lucky Lily Pad in Disney Dreamlight Valley The next mini quest is Catch the Lucky Lily Pad, which can be tackled over near the very north end of the biome. Approach the pond area to get started. Then, equip your Royal Fishing Rod and fish out of the gold ripple spots until you catch the Lucky Lily Pad. I got it on the first try by fishing out of the middle one, but yours may spawn in a different circle. There's no trick or strategy here, just luck, as you need to keep fishing until you find it. Once you catch it, return to the ticket machine to claim your prize. Screenshot by Destructoid How to complete Solve the Puzzle in Disney Dreamlight Valley Tigger's last game mission is to Solve the Puzzle. This one can be found near the northeast end of the Pixie Flats region and is accessed by walking through the horseshoe arch up to a small platform area slightly up above. Unfortunately, the puzzle is missing a piece, so you'll need some materials to fix it. Gather resources to repair the Broken Tile You need four different items to fix the Broken Tile for the puzzle, including: Eight Hardwood – Can be found on the ground near trees in many biomes, including Forest of Valor, Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, and Frosted Heights. Two Honeycomb Stone – Can be acquired by mining rock nodes around Pixie Acres, including in the Hundred-Acre Fields, Sundae Shores, Pixie Flats, and Hunny Falls areas. You may already have some from mining earlier on in this quest. 10 Clay – Can be dug up using your Royal Shovel in various biomes, including Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, and Forgotten Lands. One Broken Tile – Sitting on the ground behind the fence outlining the puzzle. Screenshot by Destructoid Once you have everything you need, head to a crafting station to fix the tile. Switch to the Functional Items category and select the Repaired Tile option to make it. Then, head back up to the puzzle and interact with it to place it. Solve the matching puzzle To solve the matching puzzle, you need to equip your Royal Shovel and flip each tile on the board until all of the backgrounds of the pieces are blue. This can be a bit tough for the middle piece, as there's no background to it, so focus on all the other ones first, then flip this one last. Once you're done with the puzzle, go claim your tickets as a reward. Screenshot by Destructoid Exchange your tickets at the prize stand Now that you've beaten all three games, approach the prize stand with the Crystal Key next to Tigger. Interact with it to transfer your tickets and claim your reward. The Crystal Key will then drop on the ground for you to pick up. Chat with Tigger once you've got the key about what comes next. Place Tigger's house Now that you've gotten to know Tigger better, it's time to get him settled in the valley. Open Furniture mode, select the Tigger quest icon, and place his house anywhere you like in Wishblossom Ranch. Then, interact with the Scrooge McDuck sign in front of it to spend 10,000 Star Coins and build it. Chat with Tigger one more time to officially complete the Fun! Fun! Fun! quest. Next up, it's time to tackle the Crystal Cavern: Pixie Acres quest. The post Fun! Fun! Fun! quest walkthrough in Disney Dreamlight Valley appeared first on Destructoid. View the full article

Hands-on | After just 4 hours, I'm impressed by Nioh 3's snappy action and samurai-to-ninja combo transformations: "We want the player to have a rich experience of mastery"View the full article
I’ve gone hands-on with Nioh 3 on three separate occasions at this point: The first was with the limited-time demo which was all about me just getting my bearings back and remembering how to play Nioh after five or so years away. The second was a preview event that was part of our IGN First coverage, where I was able to dig deeper into the new Ninja Mode and talk about some of the evolutions made in the Nioh formula. For this third, and presumably final time ahead of release, I told myself, “I’m just gonna have fun with it.” And so, when my time began, I adjusted my build to my liking, asked the Team Ninja Community Lead – who appropriately goes by “Master,” – to teach me all of the sick tech that he knew, and I was off to the races to go up against the biggest challenge I’d faced thus far pre-release: A Crucible. It’s a new type of level that features extra tough enemies that chunk bits of your max life every time they hit you until you hit them back. Suffice it to say, if my goal was to have fun, well then, mission accomplished. My demo didn’t begin in the Crucible, so I was able to work my way up to meet its challenge by first making my way through a warped Red Light District that had seemingly been transformed and twisted with evil Yokai power. Team Ninja was very generous with our builds, giving me a healthy collection of high-level gear with any weapon type of my choosing. Wanting to try something new, I decided on going with the Caestus as my main Samurai weapon and the single katana for my Ninja loadout. There’s just something so incredibly cathartic about draining an enemy’s stamina, and then when you go in for the execution it's just aggressive blunt force trauma on a ******’s face with a level of bloodsplatter that could rival a Mortal Kombat brutality. I immediately fell in love with the caestus. There’s just something so incredibly cathartic about draining an enemy’s stamina, and then when you go in for the execution it's just aggressive blunt force trauma on a ******’s face with a level of bloodsplatter that could rival a Mortal Kombat brutality. Not only that, but I also had a skill that allowed me to sit there and channel all of my stamina into a single Falcon Punch-like strike that would just obliterate whatever enemy happened to be standing in front of me. The bone-crunching sound effects and the usual Team Ninja animation smoothness only enhanced the satisfaction. On the other side of the coin was the single katana in Ninja Mode, and if you’re a Ninja Gaiden fan, this is probably going to be the one you’re going to want to check out. The big star of the weapon in my eyes was a move called the ******** Slash, and if you are a big Ninja Gaiden fan, you probably already know what that’s going to look like. It’s a super fast dashing attack that goes through enemies, and can even be upgraded to allow you to quickly move back and forth multiple times through the same enemy, just like Ryu’s Flying ********. It’s a bit riskier in a game with limited stamina and treacherous terrain that could lead to instant death if one were to ******** Slash themselves off a cliff, but it is nonetheless an incredibly satisfying technique and a great way to start off a fight. The Red Light District itself was classic Nioh level design: Lots of barred-off paths that funnel you through largely linear design, with a handful of optional forks that lead to some extra loot, with a healthy dose of traps and enemy ambushes lying around every corner. Side note: Team Ninja President Fumihiko Yasuda sat down to watch me play for a bit and got a kick out of how slowly and carefully I entered each room, and even more so when even despite all of my caution, I’d still fall for one of the many traps laid throughout the level. The boss of the level was Takasugi Shinsaku, a Samurai armed with a Guardian Spirit, a gun, and a sword – and he made liberal use of all three. Like most human-sized Nioh 3 boss fights, it was a tense and fast-paced battle that finds that sweet spot of being just predictable enough to be able to identify patterns, with enough variation in those patterns to make the act of identifying them satisfyingly challenging. Entering the Crucible takes you to a hellish landscape where Yokai are all buffed to deal increased damage. After defeating Shinsaku, the next area was one of the new open-field levels that I talked about in my last preview. This time, though, we were allowed to challenge the Crucible, which is basically the ultimate challenge of each open field in Nioh 3. Entering the Crucible takes you to a hellish landscape where Yokai are all buffed to deal increased damage. In addition to that, if damage is taken while inside a Crucible, the player will be inflicted with Life Corrosion, which will temporarily reduce their max health until they’re able to deal damage or defeat enemies. Dying is another way to remove the effects of Life Corrosion, but obviously, not ideal. On the plus side, while inside a Crucible, you’ll be able to use your Living Artifact transformation more frequently, since the Amrita Gauge fills faster. The main impression of the Crucible that I got to play through was basically that it was like another standard linear Nioh level, only meaner. Hugely damaging spike traps were everywhere, lightning fast spinning blade demons made running across certain paths feel like trying to weave through traffic on a busy street, and powerful foes waited in ambush in precarious areas where one errant dodge could lead to you falling to your death. Just like every other time I’ve gotten to play Nioh 3, after my time was up, I was left wanting more. Nioh 3 is shaping up to be my favorite of the series to date, not only through its substantial improvements to combat thanks to the split of Samurai and Ninja Modes, but also with the massive addition of the open-field levels – each of which will include its own separate Crucible. It’s a challenge I eagerly anticipate taking on with my own personal build and progression, and one that I won’t have to wait terribly long for, as Nioh 3 releases on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 6, 2026. If there’s a big winner in the wake of the delay of Grand Theft Auto 6 from May 26, 2026 to November 19, 2026, it’s 007 First Light. In September last year IO Interactive, the Danish developer of the Hitman games, had slapped James Bond action adventure 007 First Light with a March 27, 2026 release date — just two months ahead of the release of GTA 6 before Rockstar announced its delay to November. Two months would be, under normal circumstances, plenty of room for two video games to breathe, but this is GTA 6 we’re talking about. It looks set to become not only the biggest video game launch of all time, but the biggest… anything launch of all time. You could see a situation where the wider gaming public might save their hard-earned cash for GTA 6, even if they quite like the look of the promising 007 First Light — especially with speculation that Rockstar could end up charging even more than $70 for it. And so, two months was certainly close enough for 007 to be caught up in the gravitational pull of Rockstar’s behemoth, so massive an impact it will surely have on the video game space. Not even James Bond in a souped-up Aston Martin would have much of a chance of breaking free. And it sounds like the developers at IO Interactive knew that all too well. In an interview with [Hidden Content], CEO Hakan Abrak was asked about GTA 6 kindly getting out of 007’s way. “It would be a lie not to say that obviously spring looks really good,” he replied. “I want to say in the same breath that GTA 6 is a welcome thing for the industry. I do believe a lot of gamers who maybe haven't played for a while will get into things again, and generally for the industry as a whole, I think that will be amazing.” Abrak’s comments about the positive impact of GTA 6 echo those of Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, who has suggested the game’s release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S (sorry PC gamers, no launch for you… for now) will spark a surge in console sales. Such is the might of GTA 6 that it will no doubt convince an army of gamers to finally upgrade from the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One to the current-gen, or push PC gamers over the edge so they can get in on the fun at launch. And let’s not forget Star Wars movie The Mandalorian and Grogu, which was set to come out in the same week as GTA 6. Yes, GTA 6 will probably hit all forms of entertainment hard as the world dives into the next iteration of Vice City. The Force be damned. But while there are winners in all this, there are losers, too — something we at IGN have looked into following the GTA 6 delay. Microsoft has a raft of games due out next year that may end up hit hard by GTA 6, such as the next Fable, Halo: Campaign Evolved, Gears of War E-Day, and even 2026’s Call of Duty. But Sony is probably shifting nervously at the prospect of Insomniac’s PlayStation 5 exclusive, Marvel’s Wolverine, getting absorbed by the GTA 6 effect, too. All the while, James Bond himself is off having a celebratory vodka martini, "shaken, not stirred" of course. With GTA 6 out the picture, the world famous secret agent has a clear run to success.
