Steam has finally stopped working on several older Windows operating systems, following a warning from Valve that it planned to drop support earlier this year. With little fanfare, Windows 7 and Windows 8 gaming on Steam is no longer possible following the most recent Steam client update on November 5. This new Steam update shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, with Microsoft support for these older Windows systems ending years ago. The best gaming PCs aren't running Windows 7 or Windows 8 these days, either, and Valve has already given plenty of notice for the switch, with the plan for Steam dropping older Windows versions being in the pipeline for at least two years. Hideaki Itsuno, famed former director of the ****** May Cry and Dragon’s Dogma series, has joined Tencent Games subsidiary LightSpeed Studios. Itsuno, who left Capcom earlier this year after over 30 years at the ********* games company, announced the formation of a new developer called LightSpeed Japan Studio, with offices in Tokyo and Osaka. Most exciting for fans, however, is Itsuno’s plan to focus on developing original AAA action games, something he built his career doing at Capcom. Itsuno’s long list of credits includes the likes of Rival Schools, Power Stone, the ****** May Cry series, and most recently, the Dragon’s Dogma games. He was the director of Dragon’s Dogma 2, which launched earlier this year and goes down as Itsuno’s final game for Capcom. “Joining LightSpeed Studios is an exciting new chapter for me,” Itsuno commented. “With LightSpeed’s strong development capability and global network, I look forward to creating original AAA action game titles together with the amazing team and building aesthetic and innovative experiences for the global player community. We welcome all talented and passionate game creators from the world over to join our vision.” LightSpeed Studios is perhaps best known as the co-developer of Krafton’s PUBG Mobile, which is one of the most popular mobile games of all time. Its Los Angeles studio is working on Last Sentinel, a narrative-focused, open-world action game set in a dystopian future Tokyo. Valve has announced that it will be selling a special white edition of the Steam Deck. The Steam Deck OLED: Limited Edition White will be available for ***** on November 18 at 3pm PT / 6pm ET / 11pm GMT. As Final Fantasy 14 underwent server maintenance, Square Enix released the full patch notes for its 7.1 content update and confirmed that several Jobs were adjusted to close the gap within their respective roles. Every team of heroes needs a home base, and the Lighthouse is that home base in Dragon Age: The Veilguard; however, the Lighthouse's role as a safe haven for your party doesn't mean there aren't things there for you to discover. One of my favorite things about Veilguard has been the sense of discovery that it brings me, and the Lighthouse is no different from the rest of the game in that.
