  1. Probably one of the funniest games I've had the pleasure of playing over the last year, Lucky Tower Ultimate is a gem and worth a go. Now even more so. Read the full article here: [Hidden Content] View the full article
  2. A fresh map has joined the gang in ****** Ops 6 Zombies with the addition of The Tomb, which continues a long trend of having a musical Easter Egg to find. If you’re on the hunt for Mister Peeks’ headphones, we’ve got you covered. Activating the musical Easter Eggs have been fun side-quests throughout the history of Call of Duty Zombies and the tune for The Tomb is perhaps the easiest of all to activate, as there are only three steps and it can be activated very early in a match. 3. Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 players have been left baffled after the game's Season 2 update secretly made a major change to the Nacht Raider operator skin, which is granted to players as a free reward for reaching Prestige 1. Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6's Season 2 update went live on January 28, making plenty of bug fixes and bringing some much-needed new content to the game, but the change to the Nacht Raider skin was seemingly absent from the official patch notes. 4. Throne and Liberty fans are in for a treat, as the game's first expansion is set to launch on March 6, free and loaded with exciting new content. The popular MMORPG has managed to stand out from the swathe of new entries to the free-to-play RPG space released throughout 2024. Players have flocked to play Throne and Liberty from day one of the game's highly anticipated global launch in the second half of last year. View the full article
  5. George R. R. Martin might sometimes be a bit too open about when he doesn't like an adaptation of his works, but at least he seems to like the next Game of Thrones spinoff. Read more View the full article
  6. Yesterday, Helldivers 2 creative director Johan Pilestedt announced that he's taking a sabbatical from game development, and that he'll start working on Arrowhead's next game when he returns. This got lots of players asking questions about the future of Helldivers 2 itself, and Arrowhead CEO Shams Jorjani's now had a go at addressing those concerns. Read more View the full article
  7. Sniper At Work is the work of Cherrypick Games, hitherto known for "soothing merge-2 experiences" featuring puppy-eyed princes. The only "twos" you shall be "merging" in Sniper At Work are bullets and faces. The only "cherries" you shall be "picking" are hoodlums in sore need of a skullful of lead. The only princes you shall acknowledge are their royal highnesses Distance, Wind, and Timing. You may or may not find all that "soothing" - I won't judge. I will only repeat Nic's observation from the Maw that Sniper At Work look "a bit like Commandos, a bit like Hitman", which I would translate to "my comrade in PC gaming, if historic audience trends are any indication you shall do well here". Right, that's enough quotation marks for one article. There won't be any left for the next interview feature at this rate. Here's the trailer. Read more View the full article

  9. $465 million was spent on Microsoft games over December, making the company the world’s biggest publisher across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. That’s according to data firm Ampere, and includes sales of Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6, which was one of the biggest games over the Holiday *******. It also includes the release of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which launched in December. But it was Call of Duty that delivered the majority of the success. ****** Ops 6 attracted 38 million monthly users in November 2024, Ampere says, which set the game up strongly for December. 11. ****** Ops 6 continues to get ******* and better with Zombies content, with The Tomb’s arrival in January taking the number of available maps up to four—and you can earn a free Ray Gun in every match. The Ray Gun is perhaps the most iconic weapon in the Call of Duty franchise for Zombies, and while you can still earn it as a random reward from the Mystery Box or by completing S.A.M Trials, there’s a guaranteed way to claim one whenever you want. 12. Are those ripples in your morning cappuccino? Must be the stomping feet of an ancient lizard messing up that nice whippy heart your barista made in the froth. And when I say "ancient" I mean from 1999. Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 have appeared on GOG, making the classic survival horror games easily (and legally) playable on the PC once again. 13. Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 are back from the dead with re-releases on PC via GOG. Both cult classic PlayStation survival horror games are available on the CD Projekt-owned platform DRM-free, with their original content fully intact as part of GOG’s Preservation Program. Capcom released Dino Crisis on the original PlayStation in 1999 and then Dino Crisis 2 just a year later. Dino Crisis 3 launched as an original Xbox exclusive in 2003 and fans have yet to see a new game since. Despite the occasional groundswell of opinion that Dino Crisis should return with a brand new entry in the series or a HD remake, Capcom seems uninterested. Indeed Capcom's 2022 announcement of Exoprimal, a multiplayer-focused action game featuring dinosaurs, was seen as the final nail in the coffin for Dino Crisis. And in August last year, Dino Crisis creator Shinji Mikami said the popularity of Capcom’s Monster Hunter doesn't leave room for a reboot or remake of the beloved PlayStation game. The PC ports of the first two Dino Crisis games were difficult to find and tricky to get up and running on modern machines, so GOG’s work here is welcome. “Thanks to the tremendous efforts of Capcom and GOG, *******’s iconic line, 'You’re extinct!' no longer applies to the game itself,” GOG said of Dino Crisis. “The timeless thriller that defined a generation of gamers is made to last forever, enhanced for today’s systems, featuring all the original content you loved with numerous improvements.” Dino Crisis PC: what to expect with GOG’s version of the game:Full compatibility with Windows 10 and Windows 11All 6 localizations of the game included (English, *******, French, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese)Original, Arrange, and Operation Wipe Out modes includedImproved DirectX game rendererNew rendering options (Windowed Mode, Vertical Synchronization Control, Gamma Correction, Integer Scaling, Anti-Aliasing, and more)Increased rendering resolution to ~4K (1920p) and color depth to 32-bit.Improved geometry calculation, more stable transformation and texturing.Improved alpha transparencyImproved game registry settingsIssue-free animation, video, and music playbackIssue-free saving (the game no longer corrupts save files after leaving dropped weapons)Full support for modern controllers (Sony DualSense, Sony DualShock4, Microsoft Xbox Series, Microsoft Xbox One, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, Logitech F series and many more) with optimal button binding regardless of the hardware, hotplugging and wireless modeDino Crisis 2 PC: what to expect with GOG’s version of the game:Full compatibility with Windows 10 and Windows 11All 2 localizations of the game included (English, Japanese)Easy difficulty, Dino Colosseum and Dino Duel includedImproved DirectX game rendererNew rendering options (Windowed Mode, Vertical Synchronization Control, Gamma Correction, Integer Scaling, Anti-Aliasing and more)Improved music playback and volume scalingImproved item rendering and foggingImproved cartridge boxes alignmentIssue-free video playback, task switching and game exitFull support for modern controllers (Sony DualSense, Sony DualShock4, Microsoft Xbox Series, Microsoft Xbox One, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, Logitech F series and many more) with optimal button binding regardless of the hardware and wireless mode Meanwhile, GOG announced its Dreamlist, a community-based tool anyone can use to vote for the games they want to see revived or added to the platform. 14. Konami has hailed the success of the Silent Hill 2 remake after it shot through the 2 million sales mark. Silent Hill 2 remake, developed by Bloober Team, went on ***** on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on October 8, 2024 (there’s no word on an Xbox Series X and S version yet), and just a few days later had sold one million copies. This was thought to have made Silent Hill 2 remake the fastest-selling Silent Hill game ever, but Konami has yet to rubber stamp that potential record. “Since its release, Silent Hill 2 has received a multitude of accolades including several ‘perfect’ review scores, multiple award wins and nominations cementing itself as a timeless entry in the horror video game genre,” Konami said. IGN’s Silent Hill 2 remake review returned an 8/10. We said: “Silent Hill 2 is a great way to visit – or revisit – one of the most dread-inducing destinations in the history of survival horror.” The sales success of the Silent Hill 2 remake will perhaps embolden Konami’s plans for the franchise, which have ramped up significantly in recent years. Silent Hill f and Silent Hill: Townfall are both still in the works, but perhaps Konami will also continue to remake past Silent Hill games. There's a film adaptation of Silent Hill 2 coming, too. Modders are doing eye-catching things with the Silent Hill 2 remake on PC, too, including removing hair sheen, the game’s famous fog, and even turning it into Sunny Hills. The Silent Hill 2 remake features several new puzzles and redesigned maps, so if you need help navigating through it all, head to our Silent Hill 2 Walkthrough Hub. We've also got a comprehensive guide to the Silent Hill 2 Remake endings, all Key Locations in the game, and what changes in New Game+. Wesley is the *** News Editor for IGN. 17. Peripeteia feels like what I'd get if I asked a wasp to describe Deus Ex to me. It has sharp, insectoid qualities. Unwelcoming but oddly comfortable in its rusty soviet Ozymandism. The first sign of sentient life this immersive sim offers me is the greeting of a gasmasked freakdroid as I leave a warehouse. Tinny propaganda songs play from TVs too big to comfortably fit in anyone's car. The warehouse is so huge I thought it was outside until I looked up and there was writing on the sky and I realised it was a roof. I'm still messed up about it, honestly. 19. Trading has finally made its debut in Pokémon TCG Pocket, but it’s not quite as simple as selecting a card you want to get rid of and one you need in return—there are some hoops to jump through and a new currency to use. We’ve got everything you need to know here. Trade Tokens are one of two types of currency needed to initiate a trade in Pokémon TCG Pocket, with the other being Trade Stamina. But while stamina increases over time, you need to earn Trade Tokens manually—and a hefty amount to trade some of the rarest cards. View the full article
  20. We’ve all been there. You unleash what should be a devastating ultimate, perfectly timed, aimed directly at your target… only to watch it phase through them like you were playing a ghost-hunting sim instead of a superhero shooter. You check your ping. It’s fine. You check your replay. It’s not fine. Turns out, you weren’t bad—you were betrayed. At least, that’s what one Marvel Rivals player discovered when they took to Reddit with some undeniable proof that one character’s ultimate just isn’t working as intended. Their post, titled “You’re not bad at hitting Magneto ults, it’s just bugged,” came with a short but painful video: a fully charged ultimate, aimed right at an enemy’s head, sailing harmlessly through them like a well-intentioned handshake. 22. There's not a lot of work one single ant can do, which is why they tend to show up in the hundreds. Just because each one is alive doesn't mean the survival instinct is for the individual, which for ants is just a single part of the greater whole of the colony. This means they work together like the organs of a body, or in the case of Microtopia the gears of a machine. Every ant has its job and will do it until it dies, by which point the queen will have laid more than enough eggs to cover the loss. It's not great for the ant, but it's not like anyone's ever asked the bladder's opinion of its job. View the full article
  23. Diablo 4’s Season of Witchcraft has overhauled loot drops once again.
