If you've played any of the Octopath Traveler games, you know how vital companions are to your journey. She's a kind and caring soul, but make no mistake: she's still a Merchant at the end of the day, and she's all about that coin. As a Merchant, Carinda carries around a polearm and a bow, and many of her skills make use of these two types of damage. She recruits you to help her find him, but in exchange, she promises to help you on your journey as well. Who doesn't love a mutually beneficial relationship? As a Hunter, Delitia wields a Bow, but she's also got an Axe on standby. She's also a reliable source of Ice damage, which can be hard to come by in Octopath Traveler 0. Image via Square Enix Oh, the Theater King, Shipwreck King, and Pain-In-Your-**** King. Okay, maybe I made that last one up. You’ll find Goodwin crashed out on Shipwreck Island, and the only thing that can rouse him from his state of middling consciousness is Ratatouille. And no, that's not me making that up. Goodwin’s a Dancer, so he wields a fan and dagger in combat. His skills revolve around lowering attributes of enemies and shocking them with Lightning damage. As a resident of Wishvale, he offers a regular Leaf gift, giving you money every now and then. And that, my friends, makes him worth the trouble of recruiting. You’ll find her first outside of Sunshade and then once again outside of Flamesgrace, and both times, she’ll want to battle you to try to steal your ring. Her obsession with you and your jewelry makes more sense after you hear her story during the Heidne and the Man-Eating Miser quest, which begins with One’s True Worth just outside of Sunshade. Once you’ve helped Heidne defeat Vaughner, she’ll ask to join your team. As a Thief, she can impair enemies by lowering their stats and dealing Dagger and Dark damage to them. Her supporting skills are incredibly useful, giving her a chance to steal an item automatically after attacking or taking a second turn. You won't find her until later on in the Kindlers of the Flame questline, and by that point, she's become a Cleric in Flamesgrace. As a Cleric, she carries around a staff and a fan, and many of her skills involve some sort of healing effect. Where Laurana shines, however, is in her ability to shield allies from death with Wondrous Veil and her Ultimate Technique, Maiden's Miracle. These two skills grant effects that automatically restore allies' health after they've been incapacitated, making Laurana an incredibly powerful party member at later stages of the game when enemies start hitting a bit harder. Image via Square Enix You'll meet Ludo during the third chapter of the Kindlers of the Flame questline. At this point in the story, he's running a prominent business down in Sunshade, much to others' disdain. He's a bit pompous at first, especially for a 20-year-old merchant, but he eventually agrees to join your efforts at Wishvale after you take out a band of lizardmen at his behest. Ludo's all about raking in those Leaves, and his skills reflect that. He fights primarily with a Polearm but also uses a Bow. At Wishvale, he marginally raises the selling price of items at the shop and is locked to that building—though, since he's a merchant, would you really want him anywhere else? You can find Macy early on in your journey at the Emberglow Inn, and she'll quickly join your travels in hopes of spreading her charity to other regions of Orsterra. As an Apothecary, Macy's battle skills both support allies through heals and SP restoration, as well as damaging enemies with hard-hitting Axe attacks. Back at Wishvale, she offers the Med Supply boon and will regularly give you healing items. Octopath Traveler 0 is a bit different from its predecessors. You may not follow eight narrative paths, but there are still eight protagonist jobs, or classes, that you’ll get to choose from as you journey around Orsterra. You get to choose your class after the prologue, but if you end up disliking it, you’ll get to pick another later on in the game. There are eight jobs you can choose from: WarriorHunterThiefApothecaryClericDancerScholarMerchant Each class in Octopath Traveler 0 offers a different playstyle, skillset, and weapons. Warriors, for example, use swords and polearms, and they often serve as your strong frontline. Dancers, on the other hand, are skilled with daggers and fans, and their skills buff allies. Some classes have a bit of overlap in which weapons they use, but each job has its own set of unique abilities that you can use in combat. Which one will you choose? Screenshot by Square Enix Before you pick your job, it’s a good idea to take a look at all of their battle and support skills to choose the right one for your preferred playstyle. Screenshot by Destructoid Hunter’s strike from afar with bows, but they’ll occasionally get up close and personal with an axe. Most of their skills revolve around physical damage, though they have access to Trade Tempest, a good source of Wind damage. Sniper is by far my favorite part of this job. With a dagger or sword in hand, they focus primarily on dealing physical damage to foes, but also have access to skills that deal dark damage. A couple of skills in this job play into the whole "thief" role, stealing items, HP, or SP from enemies. Battle skillsSteal (3 SP) – Steal an item from a foe.HP Thief (9 SP) – Deal Dagger damage to a foe 2 times and steal HP equal to 50% of damage dealt.Shadow Bind (8 SP) – Deal Dark damage to a foe and lower speed for 2 turns.Level Slash (14 SP) – Deal Sword damage to all foes.SP Thief (9 SP) – Deal Dagger damage to a foe 2 times and steal SP equal to 5% of damage dealt.Master of Shadows (8 SP) – Deal Dark damage to a foe 2 times.Tri-Edge (27 SP) – Deal Dagger damage to a foe 3 times.Support skillsExtended Enfeeblement – When the equipped character inflicts an attribute-reducing effect, extend duration by 1 turn.Evasion +50 – Raise the equipped character’s evasion by 50.Speed +50 – Raise the equipped character’s speed by 50.Entrap – When the equipped character takes physical damage, gain a 50% chance to inflict a random status-reducing effect on the foe.Apothecary Apothecaries know how to wield an axe. Screenshot by Destructoid Apothecaries create medicines to restore their allies’ health points and cure them of any pesky status ailments. But don’t be fooled—they don’t only support their teammates from afar. They can get in the action with axes and tomes to deal a bit of damage as well. Vivify is by far one of the most attractive things about this class, giving you the ability to revive an ally without having to use an Olive of Life. Battle skillsFirst Aid (6 SP) – Restore HP of an ally.Amputation (12 SP) – Deal Axe damage to a foe.Enshroud (9 SP) – Gain a chance to inflict blindness on a foe for 2 turns.Rehabilitate (15 SP) – Grant an ally immunity to status ailments for 2 turns.Vivify (24 SP) – Revive an ally.Heal All (15 SP) – Grant HP regeneration to the entire front row or back row for 3 turns.Cross Cleave (30 SP) – Deal great Axe damage to a foe.Support skillsResist Ailments – Improve the equipped character’s resistance to poison/bleeding/sleep/paralysis/blindness/silence/terror/weakness.Max. But they're also specialists of Light damage, which you may find yourself lacking in earlier stages of the game. Battle skillsHeal Wounds (12 SP) – Restore HP of the entire front or back row.Holy Light (11 SP) – Deal Light damage to a foe.Brain Bash (18 SP) – Select a weapon and deal damage to a foe.Sacred Flame’s Protection (16 SP) – Grant an ally a small chance to prevent enemy attacks for 2 turns.Light of Judgement (22 SP) – Deal great Light damage to a foe.Celestial Veil (8 SP) – Grant an ally the ability to restore SP equal to 3% of damage taken for 2 turns.Wondrous Veil (30 SP) – Grant an effect that allows an ally to recover with 25% of their max. Screenshot by Destructoid If you’re looking to do a ton of elemental damage, this class is for you. Scholars pack the heat—sometimes literally, when they’re using their Fire skills. What’s the most underrated part of this job, though, is the support skill Study Foe, which discovers one weak point of a foe before the fighting even begins. Having that knowledge is an incredibly useful tool against your opponent. Battle skillsAnalyze (1 SP) – Discover 1 weak points of a foe and reveal HP.Fireball (12 SP) - Deal Fire damage to all foes.Tornado (12 SP) - Deal Wind damage to all foes.Luminescence (14 SP) – Deal Light damage to all foes.Fire Storm (33 SP) – Deal Fire damage to all foes 2 times.Maelstrom (33 SP) – Deal Wind damage to all foes 2 times.Blinding Light (33 SP) – Deal Light damage to all foes 2 times.Support skillsStudy Foe – At the start of battle, discover 1 weak point of each foe.Elemental Attack +50 - Raise the equipped character's elemental attack by 50.Lasting Memory – Status effects are not removed when incapacitated.Mystic Breath – At the end of turn, raise the equipped character’s elemental attack/defense for 2 turns when in the back row.Merchant You can collect hundreds, sometimes thousands, of Leaves from enemies using Collect. Screenshot by Destructoid Last, but certainly not least: Merchant. This job is fantastic if you want to make some money—and no, that’s actually not a joke. Yes, Merchants are capable of dealing damage with their polearms and bows. But that’s not why you pick this class. You pick it for the skill Collect, which steals Leaves from enemies, and the support skill Extra Leaves, which grants more money at the end of battle. This job is one of the best ways to make money in Octopath Traveler 0. Everything else is just a perk. Battle skillsDeadly Thrust – More easily land critical Polearm hits on a foe.Rest (0 SP) – Restore own HP/SP and cure own status ailments.Mystic Shot (18 SP) – Deal Bow damage to all foes and restore SP equal to 2% of damage dealt to the entire front row.Collect (3 SP) – Collect Leaves from a foe.Piercing Thrust (30 SP) – Deal critical Polearm damage to a fow.Arrow of Fortune (35 SP) – Deal great Bow damage and obtain JP based on damage dealt.Donate BP (5 SP) – Grant 1 BP to an ally.Support skillsExtra Leaves – Receive additional leaves at the end of battle. Def. +50 – Raise the equipped character’s elemental defense by 50.Borrow BP – Borrow insufficient BP for Boost from paired back ally. Neither will restore BP next turn. How to change your job in Octopath Traveler 0 Before you can change your character’s job in Octopath Traveler 0, you need to first unlock all of the skills in your first class by spending JP, which you earn in battle. Once you've unlocked all of your skills for your first pick, you’ll be able to master skills or switch jobs to something new. Mastering skills essentially makes them an inventory item called a Mastery, which can then be equipped by another ally. Not every character will be able to use every Mastery, though. Apothecaries, for example, can’t equip Masteries that use bows, since that job only uses axes and tomes. To change jobs in Octopath Traveler 0, head to the menu and scroll down to "Skills." Then choose "Protagonist's Jobs" and use the wheel to select the class you'd like to switch to. Switch jobs in the Protagonist's Jobs menu. Screenshot by Destructoid Even if you have no interest playing as one class, you may still want to consider unlocking it for your protagonist because a skill might still be valuable for your companions. Vivify, for example, is an incredibly powerful skill that allows you to revive fallen allies. You can get it by mastering it through Alfyn, one of your many companions, or by purchasing it from an NPC in Donescu. Both of these options don’t appear until much later in the game, so if you wanted to stick the skill on another teammate earlier in the game, you’re going to have to play as an Apothecary and spend JP to master it. Just be aware that while unlocking a new job doesn’t cost JP, you’ll have to unlock all skills for that job before you can switch classes again. It costs about 2,730 JP to unlock all the skills in a class, so you best get to grinding monster encounters if you want enough to unlock them all. There’s nothing more frustrating than a treasure chest you can’t open. In Octopath Traveler 0, you’ll find a ton of Blue Chests almost everywhere you go, but you won’t be able to pry them open and scoop out all their loot until you’ve reached a certain point in the game. And unfortunately for players, you’ll be waiting quite a while to get to this point. To open Blue Chests, you need to have unlocked the Wishvale church, which isn’t until you’ve completed the Kindlers of the Flame Pt. 5 questline and added Laurana to your party as a companion. And even then, you won’t automatically be able to open Blue Chests; you’ll need to upgrade your church to level three using Radiant Cornerstones acquired from defeating Elite Enemies around the map. Two Radiant Cornerstones are needed to raise the church’s level to two, and then you’ll need another four to get it to level three. At church level two, the number of helpers you can have in battle increases to four, and the total capacity raises to seven. You can also house an additional resident at the church. When your church reaches level three, not only will you be able to open Blue Chests, but you can also have nine helpers on reserve at one time. You'll need six Radiant Cornerstones in total. Screenshot by Destructoid I restored the Wishvale church around level 40, though I spent a lot of my time looking for collectibles, like seeds and Skill Masteries, and naturally leveling up in the process. You can expect to unlock the structure around mid-30s if you focus on the Kindlers of the Flame questline. It took me a bit longer than normal to upgrade my church because I had used most of my Radiant Cornerstones to upgrade other structures around Wishvale. Eventually, I was able to redeem an Azure Flamestone at the Sacred Flame Dais in the middle of the town to show the locations of remaining Elite Enemies on the World Map. If you're still struggling to find enough of the stones to raise your church's level, progress through the main story some more. This will naturally unlock new areas for you to explore, including ones that will have Elite Enemies in them. In Octopath Traveler 0, Blue Chests harbor lots of rare rewards, ranging from Skill Masteries, powerful weapons, and useful battle items like Almighty Olives. These items, especially the Masteries and weapons, make searching for Blue Chests well worth the struggle. The post How to open Blue Chests in Octopath Traveler 2 appeared first on Destructoid. Money makes the world go ‘round, and the same can be said for Leaves in the land of Orsterra. Whether you’re looking to buy a new sword in Grandport or you want to pay off the local barkeep to improve your reputation, you’ll need plenty of Leaves in Octopath Traveler 0. Luckily, there are a few ways to make quick money in the latest JRPG. You receive Leaves after every battle, and the easiest way to get more cash is to keep battling enemies. You can also sell items at shops or find them in chests, but there are also other ways to increase your rewards or establish a steady income at Wishvale. Here are the best ways to get Leaves in Octopath Traveler 0. Bring your Merchants to all your battles Of all your companions, the Merchants Ludo and Tressa offer the most direct way of getting extra Leaves in battle. Tressa’s Collect skill steals Leaves from a foe, while her support skill Extra Leaves increases the amount of money you receive after combat. Similarly, Ludo’s skill Negotiation causes the target to provide additional experience points and Leaves at the end of battle—but you won’t be able to stack this effect with Tressa's. The top of the screen will show how many Leaves you've collected. Screenshot by Destructoid Between the two, Tressa is my go-to for swiping money from foes. I've gotten thousands of Leaves from a single enemy thanks to the Rippletide merchant, and that's not even counting the money I received at the end of the battle. Some enemies will cough up more than others, but it's worth using the skill in each encounter nonetheless. Thieves can also make you some money, though they won't steal it directly. Both Therion and Heidne have the Steal Mastery, which takes an item from an enemy in combat. These items can then be sold at shops, though you aren't guaranteed to make a significant sum from each item you get. It's not a direct line of cash, but if you're desperate, it's a means worth pursuing. Entreat or contend with NPCs for their high-priced items In Octopath Traveler 0, you’re given a number of Path Actions like Entreat and Contend, where you take items from NPCs. If you want to optimize the amount of money you get in your journey, be sure to speak to everyone you come across and take a quick peek in their inventory. Hover over an item to see whether it would fetch a high price. Screenshot by Destructoid Some item descriptions will say they fetch a “high” price. These are the most valuable items in the game, and you can get a pretty penny for them. You can also purchase items from NPCs, haggle for a lower price, and then turn around and sell them at a shop for a profit. I haven't found great success with this process, and it can be quite lengthy, so I'd stick with items you can get for free. Sell items only at Ludo’s shop Each NPC at Wishvale offers some bonus effect with their Resident Skill. Ludo's Savvy Seller boon marginally raises the selling price of items when you're doing business at the Wishvale shop. If you want to make the most money you can, you should take advantage of this effect and only sell your items at Wishvale. Yes, that means you'll have to constantly travel back to the town. But it's worth it, considering Ludo will hook you up with a 10-percent increase in ***** price. Invite residents with Leaf Gift effects You can view an NPC's Resident Skill if they have an Invite option. Screenshot by Destructoid Some residents offer an effect called Leaf Gift, which regularly provides you with a small amount of cash. These NPCs can be hard to come by, but the following characters all grant this effect: Heidne - Recruited after completing Heidne and the Man-Eating Miser side questGoodwin - Recruited on Shipwreck IslandResponsible Syndicate Member - Valore barBrigand Boss - Cragspear Now, don't get me wrong; the amount they'll give you is only a couple hundred Leaves at a time. But if you stock up on the number of residents with this effect, it can quickly add up. And hey, it's free money! Who doesn't love that? When you get to later parts of Octopath Traveler 0, you'll come across characters who have the Leaf Supply or Patron effect, which are similar to Leaf Gift but offer a much larger amount of Leaves. Former Working Dancer (Leaf Supply) - Sunshade tavernGenerous Noble (Leaf Supply) - Flamesgrace chapelAmbitious Investor (Patron) - Grandport tavernDon't forget to sell old weapons and armor This one might seem like a given, but it's easy to forget about old equipment. When you go to the sell menu in a shop, only the useless junk appears at the top—not your equipment, healing items, or Soulstones. Similarly, the cheaper the item, the further down the list it will appear. And by the time you've reached the late game, your inventory list is sure to be long. Take some time every now and again to switch out all your companions' gear and sell what you won't be using anymore. You'll be surprised at just how much money you can make from cleaning out your closet. The post Best ways to farm Leaves – Octopath Traveler 0 money guide appeared first on Destructoid. The Kindlers of the Flame quest is all about rebuilding Wishvale into the thriving town it once was. A large part of making your town self-sustaining is growing crops so you can harvest your own vegetables. But to do that, you need to find seeds. Like ranch animals, seeds in Octopath Traveler 0 can be found all around Orsterra. They’re typically sold by residents of various villages, but tracking them all down can be tricky if you don’t know where to look. We’ve put together a list of all the seeds you can plant back at the fields in Wishvale so you can have enough ingredients for all the recipes you're planning to cook up next. Once you have, though, all you need to do is speak to him, choose "Cultivate," and then select the seed bed you'd like to plant seeds in. You can plant more than one of a seed at a time to get multiples of one type of veggie. After you've planted your seeds, speak to Basil again to see their progress. Speak to Basil to see the progress of your harvest. Screenshot by Destructoid To start, you'll only have two seed beds. You can spend Radiant Cornerstones, which you get from defeating Elite Enemies around Orsterra, to upgrade the Fields to four and eventually six seedbeds. Crops grow as you battle, so if you want to speed up their growth, run around in between towns to fight monsters. To cook in Octopath Traveler 0, you need ingredients like Milk, Beef, and Eggs. While these items can be found around the world, they don't come in abundance, so you'll want to build up your own ranch to get a steady supply on your own. But before you can have the most prosperous ranch in all of Orsterra, you'll want to buy every animal available in Octopath Traveler 0. There are four animals in the game: chickens, cows, pigs, and sheep. You'll get two chickens when you unlock the ranch in Wishvale, but you'll need to buy the other three types of animals if you want to collect them all. Table of contentsWhere to find all ranch animals in Octopath Traveler 0How to add animals to your ranch in Octopath Traveler 0Where to find all ranch animals in Octopath Traveler 0AnimalYieldsLocationChickenEgg, Chicken MeatReceived as part of the efforts to rebuild Wishvale.CowMeat, MilkPurchase from Disagreeable Merchant in Cragpsear Slums for 4,500/2,300 Leaves.PigPorkPurchase from Sailor Turned Merchant in Rippletide for 3,000/1,500 Leaves.SheepMutton, MilkPurchase from Wise King's Admirer in Shepherds Rock: Castle Square for 7,500/3,800 Leaves. How to add animals to your ranch in Octopath Traveler 0 Before you can expect to collect any eggs or pork, though, you'll need to assign a resident to manage your ranch. To do so, enter the build menu and click on the ranch. Then choose "Housing" and scroll to the characters you'd like to assign to the structure. NPCs like the Hotheaded Rancher from Clearbrook or the Cow-Loving Farmer from Atlasdam increase progress on the ranch when assigned to it, so I recommend choosing them over others. After you've assigned a resident to oversee your ranch, they'll post up in front of a table to the right of the pasture, and a chicken icon will appear over their heads. Speak to them, and a menu will pop up. Select the "Raise" option, and you'll see all six slots where you can add an animal. Until you upgrade your ranch, only the first two slots will be open. The first and second upgrades then unlock the second and third pairs of slots. The yield progress increases with each battle. Screenshot by Destructoid When you have animals assigned to the ranch, you can see how long it will take for that animal to produce items. The ranch system behaves much like the fields where you can grow seeds, and the yield progress increases with every battle, so check in every once in a while when you're in between quests. If you place a Harvest Box somewhere in Wishvale, the items will automatically be stored there whenever they're ready to collect. The Forsaken Hollows DLC is now live in Elden Ring Nightreign, and you'll first have to unlock the new content before you can enjoy it. Fortunately, the process isn't complicated, but it will take a fair amount of time if you're just a beginner. If you have already been playing Nightreign since launch, chances are that you'll automatically meet the prerequisites for unlocking the content. How to start the Forsaken Hollows DLC in Elden Ring Nightreign There are two tasks you must complete to gain access to the contents offered by the DLC. Unlock the two new Nightfarers in the form of Scholar and Undertaker.Unlock the new boss. The first task requires you to defeat two different Nightlord expeditions. The first one has to be Tricephalos, while the second one can be any, as per your preference. Once you complete the two Nightlord expeditions, head to the Small Jar Merchant. You'll find him in the east wing of the Roundtable Hold. Speak with him, and you should be able to unlock the new DLC Nightfarers. Image via FromSoftware Once done, the next task is to begin the new Shifting Earth event titled 'The Great Hollow'. This expedition features the new Balancers boss. Head to the chapel that opens up behind the Small Jar Merchant, and you will get to challenge the new Shifting Earth event. However, be careful since all the post-release update content from The Forsaken Hollows DLC will appear in Deep of Night. This will also be applicable for undertaking all the base game expeditions. That said, the conditions will appear in Deep of Night only if you matchmake with three players who own the DLC. If you already own the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game, you'll automatically receive The Forsaken Hollows DLC at no extra cost. Alternatively, the new DLC is available as a standalone purchase. Ownership is a must if you want to enjoy all the content offered by the latest expansion. The post How to unlock The Forsaken Hollows DLC in Elden Ring Nightreign appeared first on Destructoid. I love a silent protagonist. They speak with their actions. In Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Samus Aran speaks with her arm cannon. Although the galaxy-famous bounty hunter does not speak, she indeed has a voice actress, and it's one that you may recognize from various recent roles. It's no longer Jennifer Hale, who voiced Samus in previous games, but someone new. The full voice cast list of the game is not very long at all, and several actors are mainly motion capture artists who also voiced the characters while filming for the Nintendo Switch game. And it starts and ends with Samus and her actress, even if she only screams or grunts. Destiny 2's Renegades was a good change of pace compared to The Edge of Fate. The Star Wars-inspired expansion is shorter and more dynamic than its predecessor, with fewer main missions and a faster run time. There's quite a bit of both franchises in the campaign, lending a unique tone to the story. The stakes feel real, too, which may be hard to get right when your character is an immortal weapon who has killed pantheons of gods for loot. And if the story is a highlight, the drops from the campaign are nothing to scoff at either. In addition to an arsenal of Star Wars-esque weapons, you unlock your Praxic Blade (your own lightsaber) on the tail end of the campaign, just in time for you to bring it in your final push against Dredgen Bael. Here's what you need to know about Destiny 2's Renegades story. How many missions are in Destiny 2: Renegades? The cutscenes are also pretty great. Screenshot by Destructoid via Bungie Destiny 2's Renegades campaign has five main missions, though the story will also throw you into a few runs of the Lawless Frontier activity. The major story quest, Renegades, has 45 steps, which you can use to gauge how far along you are. Here are the missions in the campaign: All missions in Destiny 2: Renegades You meet Aunor really early. A run of Fire and Ice, the Exotic mission that drops your own lightsaber, takes place on step 33 of the main Renegades journey, at which point you're bound to dive into more Lawless Frontier missions before rounding out the final two activities. How long is Destiny 2's Renegades campaign? Kit yourself when heading into the Lawless Frontier. Image via Bungie Unlike The Edge of Fate's drawn-out campaign, Renegades' main story is closer to the usual length for Destiny 2. Expect it to last roughly five to six hours, with some variance on either side depending on your pace. Without hurrying, we finished the Legend campaign in around six hours with a full fireteam, including the usual breaks and more than a few delays due to bugs and server issues. Each Lawless Frontier mission took around 20 minutes, in our experience, and Fire and Ice's labyrinthian structure was the longest single part of the campaign. Russian gamers are now without Roblox, according to reports coming out of the country where access to the popular kids gaming platform has now been blocked. According to Reuters, Russian media regulation outlet Roskomnadzor released a statement through Russian news agencies, saying that Roblox is full "inappropriate content that can negatively impact the spiritual and moral development of children." Image via Dress To Impress Group "Children in the game are subjected to ******* harassment, intimate photos are tricked out of them, and they are coerced into committing depraved acts and violence," the statement continued, also claiming the game promotes "LGBT propaganda." In Russia, LGBTQ people are often disapproved of and support for their rights is sometimes deemed "extremist" in nature. Roskomnadzor's main function is the monitoring and controlling of mass media in Russia, and has been responsible for censoring several other forms of online content throughout the years, such as Twitter/X, Meta, Google, TikTok, and even Chess.com after the website published articles critical of the country's invasion of Ukraine. Roblox has come under fire in recent years for becoming a game that, the Florida attorney general says, "has become a breeding ground for predators." In October, Roblox put out a statement in response to the AG, saying his "claims about Roblox are false, and the suggestion that illicit image sharing is happening on Roblox demonstrates a lack of understanding of our platform’s functionality." More of a social platform than a game, Roblox allows creators to make and monetize their own mini games and modes within it. It has become immensely popular with children, making it a natural target for predators. Earlier this year, the state of Louisiana also filed a lawsuit against Roblox, saying it has allowed such predators to "thrive," so the company and game continue to remain under heavy scrutiny of late. Destructoid has reached out to Roblox for comment on today's news out of Russia. As I said yesterday, ****** Friday is cactus, Cyber Monday has come and gone, and yet the shelves are still groaning under the weight of tasty discounts. It's that weird, magical pocket of the year when retailers refuse to give up the ghost, and anybody with a wishlist can quietly scoop up wins before stockists remember to raise prices again. If you have even a hint of FOMO, now is the time. Go get amongst it. Contents RetroNintendoXboxPlayStationPCPC GearLEGOThis Day in Gaming In ye olde gamer news, I'm using Elika's sun magic to light a 16-candle cake baked for Prince of Persia (2008), a stylish reboot that basically paired a ******, parkouring Nolan North playing Nolan North with a magical partner in a corrupted kingdom. I didn't dislike it at launch, but I also didn't adore it. I dug the painterly world and the smooth, lyrical flow of the acrobatics, but Elika's death-nullifying rescue mechanic was not to my masochistic tastes. It turned tension into routine and stripped the platforming of the razor-edge stakes the series was once famous for. And while the one-on-one duels had flair, the whole experiment proved to be an evolutionary dead end. Just a beautiful ****-de-sac Ubisoft explored with gusto before quietly reversing out of. Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 is already a beautiful game. Considering it's already seven years old, RDR2 is especially impressive because it looks better than many current games on the market. Still, thanks to mods, the iconic Western can look even better, believe it or not, and the latest video of the game with "ultra graphics" makes RDR2 look better than it ever has before. There was a spot of skycontroversy earlier this year when former Skyblivion world designer Dee Keyes took issue with the mega-mod's planned launch in 2025. Keyes was critical of project management over "crunching" in pursuit of what he called "a pointless and unachievable release date." And it turns out he was right, at least about the 2025 release target being unachievable, because the launch has now been pushed to sometime in 2026... Read more.View the full article

Nothing Manacles got a huge glow-up in Destiny 2, going off an individual balance pass in tandem with some general buffs to Void. You may have missed this Exotic when it released, but there's still a way to get it. Nothing Manacles released in Season of the Lost, when the main way of getting new Exotics was by running higher-difficulty Lost Sectors. The process has since changed drastically and is now much easier. Here's how you can snag this Exotic for your Warlock. How to unlock Nothing Manacles in Destiny 2 King of add-clear and king of fashion. Screenshot by Destructoid You can get Nothing Manacles by focusing it with Master Rahool in the Tower. If you're looking for your first copy, go to the Novel Decryption tab in the Focused Decoding section of his inventory. This is where you can unlock the Exotic at the cost of one Exotic Engram and one Exotic Cipher. That latter resource is slightly time-gated, but can be obtained from season passes, by exchanging Chronologs, and, of course, the classic way: by completing the Xenology quest from Xûr, who shows up at the Friday reset and flies off on Tuesday. After you've unlocked Nothing Manacles, you can grab it from any suitable source of Exotic Engrams, including Master Rahool. He's the most reliable way to farm this, letting you choose to decode an Exotic Engram into Nothing Manacles as long as you're willing to pay 60,000 Glimmer and two Ascendant Shards. You can continue to use Novel Decryption if you'd rather save your golfballs, though. What Nothing Manacles does (and why it's good) Tie a Void MIRV to Graviton Lance, and that's kind of what Nothing Manacles feels. Screenshot by Destructoid Scatter Charge: Gives you an extra Scatter Grenade charge, enables tracking for its submunitions, and final blows create more projectiles. Nothing Manacles on its own can be quite strong, but it really shines with Chaos Accelerant and Feed the Void equipped. Feed the Void grants an enhanced version of Devour, which should be glued to any Void subclass—especially one based on grenades. Chaos Accelerant, on the other hand, improves the tracking of your Scatter Grenades and grants you an extra grenade charge. With that combination, you're heading into an activity carrying three high-powered, tracking Scatter Grenades. This is one of the best add-clear builds for Warlocks. Think of it as a turbocharged Graviton Lance in your pocket. Damage isn't this build's strongest suit, however, so this mostly excels at taking down smaller enemies.
