Disney Dreamlight Valley is releasing its final update for 2025 on December 9, which will welcome Cinderella to the valley at long last. Outside of this new arrival though, we don't actually know a huge amount of information about what the Winter Ball update will have in store for us. Besides, that is, the standard routine of a new realm opening up in the Dream Castle, and needing an extortionate amount of Dreamlight to get there in the first place... Fortnite Chapter 7 launched with a bang this weekend, following a strong Simpsons-themed season with a surprising Tarantino crossover and sci-fi legend Marty McFly. However, the news isn't all good. As you wander Classified Canyon and Battlewood Boulevard in search of one of the new driveable Reboot Vans, you may see in-game adverts that have a whiff of generative AI about them. While Epic hasn't confirmed it used the contentious technology when creating these ads, Epic CEO Tim Sweeney's recent comments about AI disclosures might suggest the company isn't averse to its use. The only working methods to get the Demonic Pickaxe in The Forge right now are the ****** race dash or the Portal dash exploit. It's behind the demonic door in Volcanic Depths and I'll show you the only two working methods with a step-by-step guide for both. Here's how to get the Demonic Pickaxe in The Forge. Table of contentsThe Forge Demonic Pickaxe GuideDemonic Pickaxe Unlock - ****** MethodDemonic Pickaxe Unlock - Portal MethodThe Forge Demonic Pickaxe StatsThe Forge Demonic Pickaxe Guide There are two methods for getting the Demonic Pickaxe in The Forge. One is by spamming jumping with the ****** race dash through the demonic door in Volcanic Depths. The other is glitching through that door with a specific portal placement and dash. Note that these are both bugs/exploits that will most likely get fixed in a future update when the official obtainment method will be revealed. That said, here's a step-by-step guide on how to do both methods. Demonic Pickaxe Unlock - ****** Method Video by Destructoid The most common method to get the Demonic Pickaxe is to get the ****** race and then spam jump and ****** dash at the door. This is because the ****** race's dash is a teleport that clips you through the demonic door. Here's how to do it: Get the ****** race (You can get race rerolls from codes and main quests and for Robux).Go to Island 2 Forgotten Kingdom, enter the caves and make a right toward the Volcanic area.Mine the two rocks next to the NPC Amber that sells the Magma Pickaxe and drop down to enter the Volcanic Depths.Go to the demonic door.Face the door and then jump while dashing. The ****** teleport dash will eventually clip you through the door. The Demonic Pickaxe will be right behind the door and you can buy it for $500.000.Demonic Pickaxe Unlock - Portal Method Video by Destructoid The second method is even more glitchy but it doesn't require the ****** race, just a Portal dash exploit that you need to practice. Here's how to do it: Reach the Volcanic Depths and the demonic door following the first four steps from method 1.Equip your Portal.Place it right in front of the gate and as soon as you do run toward the door in front of the portal before it spawns and dash as it appears. The portal spawning should push you through the door causing you to clip through it and to the other side. You can then buy the Demonic Pickaxe. The Forge Demonic Pickaxe Stats Image by Destructoid The Demonic Pickaxe isn't actually the best pickaxe in the game currently. While it does have the best ore damage, it's a bit slow. The Arcane Pickaxe has lower damage but is much faster so it's still better on average. That said note that the stats might change in a future update since the methods to get it above are bugs and not the official ways to unlock it. Here are the current Demonic Pickaxe stats: Mine Power: 175Mine Speed: -15%Luck Boost: +47.5%Rune Slot: 3Cost: $500,000 That's it for my guide on how to get the Demonic Pickaxe in The Forge. Note that these are both bugs and might get fixed soon before the official method for the Demonic Pickaxe is released. Until then, practice both these methods and you can get it early. The free-to-play NetEase-published Wuxia adventure, Where Winds Meet, has topped 9 million players in just two weeks. The open-world action-RPG debuted on PC and PlayStation 5 on November 14, and hit a peak concurrent player count of 251,000 on Steam (Sony does not make player numbers public). Over 89% of the game's 70,000+ Steam reviews are positive, too. A mobile version is due out on December 12. Offering full cross-play and shared progress, you'll be able to dip into the action wherever you are, with "a portable Jianghu in the palm of your hand." If that sounds good to you, you can pre-register for mobile (iOS or Android) right here. IGN's Where Winds Meet review returned a 6/10. We said: "Where Winds Meet has a great understanding of what makes wuxia such a compelling genre, but its attempt to shove so many different things into one game only ensures that none of those elements reach their full potential." Geoff Keighley has kicked off his annual The Game Awards tease with social media posts that reportedly relate to a Diablo 4 expansion. Host Keighley took to social media to show a picture of a monolith located in the Mojave Desert alongside location details. regal.inspiring.thickness [Hidden Content] — Geoff Keighley (@geoffkeighley) November 29, 2025 The caption of the tweet leads to the monolith above, alongside its real-world location in the Mojave Desert. As you’d expect, people tracked it down and uploaded footage to social media. [Hidden Content] — Triodug (@TotallyNOTTrio) November 29, 2025 Overnight, the monolith lit up, giving off hellish Diablo vibes. The Game Awards Monolith at night @thegameawards @geoffkeighley [Hidden Content] — 𝑳𝑨𝑽𝑨 (@lava037) November 30, 2025 Amid all that, Windows Central reporter Jez Corden took to social media to say the tease related to an expansion for Blizzard’s action role-playing game, Diablo 4. Blizzard had said Diablo 4 was set to get an expansion in 2026 (alongside a new ranking system and leaderboards), so an appearance at The Game Awards later this month would make sense. There’s no detail yet on what this expansion will contain, although earlier this year Diablo 4 fans suggested Blizzard had leaked the Paladin class, perhaps the most-requested by fans since Diablo 4’s June 2023 release. The Paladin is one of the most popular classes from Diablo 2, so its arrival in Diablo 4, should it happen, would be celebrated by the game's community. The game’s first expansion, Vessel of Hatred, added the Spiritborn class. Corden’s “more” could relate to a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Diablo 4 — a shadowdrop perhaps? Or it could be to do with something else entirely. With The Game Awards less than two weeks away, we’re starting to get an idea of what to expect. CD Projekt has ruled out more of The Witcher 4, but we do know that Exodus, the new sci-fi RPG in development at Archetype Entertainment, a studio founded by former BioWare developers James Ohlen, Chad Robertson, and Drew Karpyshyn, and published by Wizards of the Coast, will get a new trailer at the show. The Game Awards is set for December 11, 2025. Check out all the nominations for The Game Awards 2025. Cyber Monday is your last chance to secure the best offers of the year before the holidays. Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 has plenty of Mythic weapons and items for you to discover inside a match, and all of them are pretty powerful. While some of these items can only be obtained after defeating bosses, the other options are available randomly all across the map. This guide will give you a fair idea of all such weapons and items, and help make it easier for you to find them. Table of contentsHow to get all Mythic boss items and weapons in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1Beach BrutusHushHuman BillForsaken Vow BladeSelf-Revive KitHow to get all Mythic boss items and weapons in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 There are three bosses to take down in Chapter 7 Season 1: Human Bill, Beach Brutus, and Hush. I have attached screenshots below about possible locations where you can find them. Do note that boss spawn locations are entirely random, just like it happened during the Simpsons season. Beach Brutus Screenshot and remix by Destructoid Beach Brutus will provide you with Mythic Twin Hammer Shotguns and his kit, which comes with an ability to regenerate his shield. Hush Screenshot and remix by Destructoid Defeating Hush will provide you with a Mythic Deadeye assault rifle and her kit, which comes with the Zero Point Dash ability. You can use the ability to perform forward dashes mid-air teleport over short distances. Human Bill Screenshot and remix by Destructoid You can obtain the Mythic Arc-Lightning Gun after defeating Human Bill, along with his kit. The kit allows you to use the Low-Gravity effect, which helps you to avoid fall damage from great heights. Forsaken Vow Blade Screenshot by Destructoid The Forsaken Vow Blade is relatively easy to obtain, but you'll need to find a Rift Gate. These gates spawn at random on the map, and you'll have to defeat all the NPCs inside to obtain the blade. You can then use it against other human opponents. Self-Revive Kit A Self-Revive kit does exactly what its name suggests. It allows you to revive yourself when knocked out, and the location appears to be completely random. If you've been missing modes like OG, Blitz, and Reload in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1, it's not by accident. The modes I have stated are disabled as of writing by game design, and they will be returning very soon to Fortnite. That said, the return dates are different for every mode, and this guide will help you keep track of when you can enjoy them once again. Table of contentsWhen will Reload return to FortniteWhen will Blitz return to FortniteWhen will Fortnite OG returnWhen will Reload return to Fortnite Reload is the first mode that's set to return in Fortnite. The mode will be back on Dec. 4 as the Battle Bus goes back to commission. While the Battle Bus is damaged as of writing, you can complete the questline to help complete its repairs. Doing so will fetch you plenty of rewards along with seasonal XP. Reload also marks the introduction of Surf City, which will be a smaller version of the current map. When will Blitz return to Fortnite Screnshot by Destructoid Blitz will also be returning to Fortnite on Dec. 4. Its return will be slightly behind that of Reload, but you should be able to access it at the same time as Ranked. Blitz will feature a new map in the form of Starfall Island. Expect to find POIs like Holloway House and Flowberry Fields among other locations, as they were teased to us by Epic. When will Fortnite OG return While we will be able to access Blitz and Reload this week, the same can't be said about Fortnite OG. If you love the mode as much as I do, you'll need to wait until Dec. 11. It's speculated that the arrival of OG could also mark the start of the Winterfest event, but it's yet to be confirmed. The winter-themed event has always been a favourite among the fans, and it could be an excellent time to get cool rewards ahead of the holiday weeks. Destiny 2 meets Star Wars with the Renegades expansion on Dec. 2, but avid fans may want to preload the update for an early start. Good news and bad news: you can indeed preload Renegades, but the window is quite tight, and it requires a lot of disk space. Preloads releasing when the maintenance downtime starts isn't new, but this time, the server outage only lasts for one hour. Here's how you can preload Destiny 2: Renegades. Table of contentsWhen does the Destiny 2: Renegades preload start? How to preload Destiny 2 RenegadesHow big is the Renegades preload? When does the Destiny 2: Renegades preload start? Me and the boys when the update goes live. Image via Bungie Preloads for Destiny 2 Renegades start at 10am CT on Dec. 2 in most platforms, though "some PlayStation users" can jump the gun after Nov. 30 if they have auto updates enabled, Bungie said. It's quite a short timespan to get ready for the next expansion, especially considering downloads can get as big as 170 GB. If you're not on PlayStation, your preload only begins one hour before the update drops on the weekly reset, which is not much of a "pre" load—especially considering you must download an entire new version of Destiny 2 in that time. In most cases, that version will also coexist with your existing installation, making for an exorbitant file size of hundreds of GBs worth of Destiny 2 data. If you've cleared out your disk storage and have a good internet connection, here are the steps you can take to download Renegades ahead of time. How to preload Destiny 2 Renegades I'm definitely eyeing that sniper. You can enable auto-updates for your games here, including the Renegades preload.Steam: The Renegades preload should appear in your Downloading ****** shortly after it becomes available. Enable auto-updates by going to Destiny 2's properties in your Library tab and checking the "immediately download updates" box. If the preload doesn't show up, try resetting Steam.Epic Games: Like Steam, the update should land on Epic once Bungie enables global preloads.Microsoft Store: Look for the latest update in your download ****** once the preload ******* begins. How big is the Renegades preload? Stay away from the Sarlacc pit while you wait for the preload. Image via Bungie The disk space requirement is another obstacle to preloading Renegades, since most versions require you to have more than one version of Destiny 2 on your computer. On Steam and Epic, the next expansion may require you to have over 300 GB of space on your disk. PlatformPreload storage space requirementsTotal file size after RenegadesNotesSteam326 GB170 GBThe Steam preload requires you to have both the latest Edge of Fate patch and the Renegades preload on your disk at the same time, though the obsolete one will disappear after the game goes live.
